*1: These lights turn on when the power switch is turned to ON mode to indicate that asystem check is being performed. They will turn off after the hybrid system is on, or
after a few seconds. There may be a malfunction in a system if the lights do not turn on,
or turn off. Have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or
another duly qualified and equipped professional.
*2: The light flashes to indicate a malfunction.
*3: This light illuminates on the center panel.

Headlight switch
Turning the end of the lever turns on the lights as follows: The daytime running lights
turn on.
The front position, tail,
license plate and instru-
ment panel lights turn on.
The headlights and all lights
listed above turn on.
The headlights, daytime
running lights and front
position lights turn on and
off automatically.
(When the power switch is
in ON mode.)
With the headlights on, push the
lever away from you to turn on the
high beams.
Pull the lever toward you to the center
position to turn the high beams off.
Pull the lever toward you and release
it to flash the high beams once.
You can flash the high beams with the
headlights on or off.
The headlights can be operated manually or automatically.

You may replace the following bulbs by yourself. The difficulty level of replace-
ment varies depending on the bulb. As there is a danger that components may
be damaged, we recommend that replacement is carried out by any autho-
rized Lexus dealer or repairer, or an other duly qualified and equipped profes-
sional.

Maintenance and care
■Headlight high beams (halogen headlights) For the right side only: Move the
washer fluid filler opening.
Unplug the connector while
pressing the lock release.
Turn the bulb base counterclock-
wise.
Set the new light bulb.
Align the 3 tabs on the light bulb with
the mounting, and insert. Turn it
clockwise to set.

Set the connector.
After installing the connector, shake
the bulb base gently to check that it is
not loose, turn the headlight high
beams on once and visually confirm
that no light is leaking through the
mounting.
For the right side only: Reinstall the washer fluid filler opening.
■Headlight high beams (LED headlights)Turn the cover counterclockwise
and remove it.
Turn the bulb base counterclock-
wise.
Unplug the connector while pull-
ing the lock release.

Maintenance and care
Replace the light bulb, and install
the bulb base.
Align the 3 tabs on the light bulb with
the mounting, and insert.
Turn and secure the bulb base.
Shake the bulb base gently to check
that it is not loose, turn the headlight
high beams on once and visually
confirm that no light is leaking
through the mounting.
When installing the cover, conduct step in reverse.
■Halogen front fog light (if equipped) Remove 2 screws, a bolt and clip,
and pull down the fender liner.
Pull the fender liner down slowly,
being careful not to dislodge any
fixed components.

■Replacing the following bulbs
If any of the lights listed below has burnt out, have it replaced by any autho-
rized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped profes-
sional.
●Headlight low beams (LED type)
●Daytime running lights and front position lights
●LED front fog lights (if equipped)
●Side turn signal lights
●Stop/tail lights
●High mounted stoplight
●License plate lights
■After replacing the bulbs
■LED lights
The headlight low beams (LED type), front position lights, daytime running lights, LED
front fog lights (if equipped), side turn signal lights, stop/tail lights, high mounted stoplight
and license plate lights consist of a number of LEDs. If any of the LEDs burn out, take
your vehicle to any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and
equipped professional to have the light replaced.
■Condensation build-up on the inside of the lens
Temporary condensation build-up on the inside of the headlight lens does not indicate a
malfunction. Contact any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified
and equipped professional for more information in the following situations:
●Large drops of water have built up on the inside of the lens.
●Water has built up inside the headlight.
