Limit the causes of excess consumption

Spread loads throughout the vehicle; place the heaviest items in the bottom of the boot, as close as possible to the rear seats.
Limit the loads carried in the vehicle and reduce wind resistance (roof bars, roof rack, bicycle carrier, trailer...). Use a roof box in preference.
Remove roof bars and roof racks after use.


At the end of winter, remove snow tyres and refit your summer tyres.


Observe the recommendations on
maintenance

Check the tyre pressures regularly, when cold, referring to the label inthe door aperture, driver's side.
Carry out this check in par ticular:


- before a long journey,

- at each change of season,

- after a long period out of use.
Don't forget the spare wheel and the tyres on any trailer or caravan.


Have your vehicle ser viced regularly (engine oil, oil filter, air filter...) andobser ve the schedule of operations recommended by the manufacturer.


When refuelling, do not continue after the third cut-off of the nozzle toavoid any over flow.


At the wheel of your new vehicle, it is only after the first 1 800 miles (3 000 kilometres) that you will see the fuel consumption settle down toa consistent average.

Steering mounted controls

The steering mounted paddles do not allow neutral to be selected, reversegear to be engaged or disengaged, or the driving mode to be changed.
Five or six-speed electronically controlled
gearbox which offers a choice between the comfor t of automated operation or the pleasure
of manual gear changing.

selected but is not switched on (PAUSE).You do not have to switch the speed limiter on

Programming
You can then change the programmed speed using buttons 2
and 3:


- by + or - 1 mph (km/h) = shor t press,

- by + or - 5 mph (km/h) = long press,

- in steps of + or - 5 mph (km/h) = maintained press. )Switch the speed limiter on by pressing button 4

Exceeding the programmed speed

Pressing the accelerator pedal to exceed the programmed speed will not have
any effect unless you press the pedal firmlypast the ypoint of resistance. The speed limiter is deactivated temporarily and the programmed speed,
which is still displayed, flashes.
Returning to the programmed speed, by means of intentional or unintentional
deceleration of the vehicle, automatically cancels the flashing of the programmed speed.

On a steep descent or in the event of sharp acceleration, the speed limiter will not be able to prevent the vehicle from exceeding the programmedspeed.
To avoid any risk of jamming of the
pedals:


- ensure that the mat is positioned correctly,

- do not fit one mat on top of another.




Leaving limiter mode

Turn thumb wheel 1to the "0"
position:
the speed limiter mode is deselected. The
display returns to the distance recorder.

Operating fault

In the event of a speed limiter fault, the speed
is cleared resulting in flashing of the dashes.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

to the "CRUISE"position: the cruise control mode isselected but is not switched on (PAUSE). )Set the programmed speed byaccelerating to the required speed, thenpress button 2or 3

You can then change the programmed speed using buttons 2 and 3:

Intentional or unintentional exceeding of the programmed speed results in flashing of this speed in the screen.
Return to the programmed speed, by means of intentional or unintentional

the speed is cleared resulting in flashing of the
dashes. Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

When the cruise control is switched on,be careful if you maintain the pressure on one of the programmed speedchanging buttons: this may result in avery rapid change in the speed of your vehicle. Do not use the cruise control on slippery roads or in heavy traffic. On a steep descent, the cruise control will not be able to prevent the vehicle from exceeding the programmedspeed.
To avoid any risk of jamming of the pedals:


- ensure that the mat is positioned correctly,


- never fit one mat on top of another.

Removing a wheel
Parking the vehicle
Immobilise the vehicle where it does not block traffic: the ground must belevel, stable and not slippery. Apply the parking brake, switch off the ignition and engage first gear * to lock the wheels.
If necessary, place a chock under thewheel diagonally opposite the wheel to be changed. It is imperative that you ensure that the occupants get out of the vehicle andwait where they are safe.
Never go underneath a vehicle raised using a jack; use an axle stand.

Practical information
)Place the jack 2 in contact with one of thetwo front Aor rear B
locations provided on
the underbody, whichever is closest to the
wheel to be changed.

On vehicles fitted with sill finishers, thejacking location is indicated by a markingon the finisher. The jack must be placedcentrally in line with this marking, at the jacking point located behind the finisher and not on the plastic finisher itself.
) Remove the bolts and store them in a clean place. )
Remove the wheel.

Extend the jack 2
until its base plate is in contact with the ground. Ensure that the centreline of the jack base plate is directly below the location Aor B
used.)
Raise the vehicle until there is sufficientspace between the wheel and the groundso that the spare (not punctured) wheel can
then be fitted without difficulty.
