Cruise Control
5:Press to turn the system on or
off. The indicator light is on when
cruise control is on and turns off
when cruise control is off.
+RES: Press briefly to make the
vehicle resume to a previously set
speed, or press and hold to
accelerate. If cruise control is
already active, use to increase
vehicle speed. SET−:
Press briefly to set the
speed and activate cruise control.
If cruise control is already active,
use to decrease vehicle speed.
*: Press to disengage cruise
control without erasing the set
speed from memory.

Infotainment System
The base radio and base radio with
connectivity information is included
in this manual. See the infotainment
manual for information on the
uplevel radios, audio players,
phone, navigation system, Rear
Seat Entertainment (RSE), and
voice or speech recognition,
if equipped.
Driver Information
Center (DIC)
The DIC display is in the instrument
cluster. It shows the status of many
vehicle systems.
If the vehicle has the base level
instrument cluster, the trip odometer
reset stem is used to operate
the DIC.
If the vehicle has the uplevel
instrument cluster, the right steering
wheel controls are used to operate
the DIC.

Tire Pressure:Shows the
approximate pressures of all four
tires. Tire pressure is displayed in
either kilopascal (kPa) or in pounds
per square inch (psi). If the pressure
is low, the value for that tire is
shown in amber. See Tire Pressure
Monitor System on page 10-65 and
Tire Pressure Monitor Operation on
page 10-66.
Fuel Economy: The center
displays the instantaneous fuel
economy as a number and bar
graph. Displayed above the bar
graph is a running average of fuel
economy for the most recently
traveled selected distance.
Displayed below the bar graph is
the best average fuel economy that
has been achieved for the selected
distance. The selected distance is
displayed at the top of the page as
“last xxx mi/km.” Next to the
odometer, the Active Fuel
Management displays the number of
cylinders the vehicle is running on.

pto select the distance or
reset best value. Use
wandxto
choose the distance and press
V.
Press
wandxto select “Reset
Best Score.” Press
Vto reset the
best average fuel economy. After
reset, the best value displays “- - -”
until the selected distance has been
traveled.
The display provides information on
how current driving behavior affects
the running average and how well
recent driving compares to the best
that has been achieved for the
selected distance.
Timer: This display can be used as
a timer. To start the timer, press
V
while this display is active. The
display will show the amount of time
that has passed since the timer was
last reset. To stop the timer, press
V
briefly while this display is active
and the timer is running. To reset the timer to zero, press and hold
V
while this display is active, or presspand select reset.
Speed Limit: Shows sign
information, which comes from a
roadway database in the onboard
navigation.
Engine Hours: Shows the total
number of hours the engine has run.
This display may also show idle
hours, which show how long the
engine has been at idle.
Transmission Fluid
Temperature: Shows the
temperature of the automatic
transmission fluid in either degrees
Celsius (°C) or degrees
Fahrenheit (°F).
Trailer Brake: On vehicles with the
Integrated Trailer Brake Control
(ITBC) system, the trailer brake
display appears in the DIC.

Read the following pages to
become familiar with the
infotainment system featured in this
owner manual.
{Warning
Taking your eyes off the road
for too long or too often while
using any infotainment features
can cause a crash resulting in
injury or death. Do not give
extended attention to
infotainment tasks while
driving. Focus your attention
on driving and limit glances to
the instrument cluster or center
stack screens. Use voice
guidance whenever possible.

7-2 Infotainment System
The infotainment system has built-in
features intended to help with this
by disabling some functions when
driving. Some functions may gray
out when the vehicle is moving,
indicating they are unavailable.
All functions are available when the
vehicle is parked. Before driving:
.Become familiar with the
infotainment system operation
and buttons on the faceplate.
.Set up the audio by presetting
favorite stations, setting the
tone, and adjusting the
speakers.
.Set up phone numbers in
advance so they can be called
easily by pressing a single
button or by using a single voice
command for vehicles equipped
with phone capability.See
Defensive Driving on page 9-3.
The vehicle has Retained
Accessory Power (RAP). With RAP,
the audio system can be played
even after the ignition is turned off.
See Retained Accessory Power
(RAP) on page 9-29.
The base radio and base radio with
connectivity information is included

uplevel radios, audio players,
phone, navigation system, Rear
Seat Entertainment (RSE), and

Theft-Deterrent Feature
TheftLock®is designed to
discourage theft of the vehicle's
radio by learning a portion of the
Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
The radio does not operate if it is
stolen or moved to a different
vehicle.

Setting Radio Preferences
Select the SETTINGS screen icon
to display the Settings menu and
the following may display:
Time and Date: SeeClock on
page 5-5.
Language (Current Language):
This will set the display language in
the radio and instrument cluster.
Select to display a list of languages.
Select
oBACK to go back to the
previous menu.
Valet Mode:
Using the circular numeric keypad,
enter a four-digit code:
1. Turn the MENU knob to highlight a number.
2. Press the MENU knob to select it. Do this for each one of the
four digits. Select Enter to go to
the confirmation screen.
3. Re-enter the four-digit code. Select LOCK to lock the system. 4. Enter the four-digit code to
unlock the system. Select
o
BACK to go back to the
previous menu.
Radio: See“Radio Setup” later in
this section.
Vehicle: SeeVehicle
Personalization on page 5-46.
Display: Press the MENU knob to
turn the display on or off.
Return to Factory Settings: See
“Return to Factory Settings” later in

Software Information: Press the
MENU knob to select Save Vehicle
Info to USB. Press the MENU knob
again to start downloading the
vehicle information to the USB.

All devices launch audio differently.
When selecting Bluetooth audio as
a source, the radio may show as
paused on the screen. Press play
on the device or press
rto begin
playback.
Some phones support sending
Bluetooth music information to
display on the radio. When the radio
receives this information, it will
check to see if any is available and
display it. For more information
about supported Bluetooth features,
see www.gm.com/bluetooth.
Navigation
OnStar®System
An OnStar®subscriber has the
ability to connect to the OnStar
system (if equipped) and ask an
OnStar Advisor to download a
destination into the embedded
navigation system. OnStar will send
address information and location
coordinates of the destination into
the navigation system.
OnStar Turn-by-Turn Navigation
Select the MENU screen button to
go to the Turn-by-Turn menu.
The Turn-by-Turn menu consists of
the following options:
.Update Route (only shows if the
vehicle is off the route)
.Cancel Route
.My Destination
.Route Preview
.Repeat
When the system is downloading a
route, the only option available is
Cancel Route. Once the route is
downloaded, the additional list items
display.
