NOTESConditions for applying the fault finding procedure to a stored fault:
The fault is present with the engine idling.
Special notes:
When this fault appears, the idle speed is locked at 1000 rpm, there is engine noise,
unsteady engine speed, engine performance reduced to 75% and the level 1 warning
light comes on until the next time the ignition is switched off.
Use the Wiring Diagrams Technical Note for Logan, Sandero, Duster, Thalia 2/
Symbol 2 or Kangoo VLL.

Switch off the ignition and wait 15 seconds.
Check the connection and condition of the injector 1 connector, component code 193.
Check the connection and condition of the injection computer connector, component code 120.
If the connectors are faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A (Renault) or Technical
Note 9804A (Dacia), Electrical wiring repair, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connectors, otherwise
replace the wiring.
Run command AC005 Cylinder 1 injector.
If injector 1 cannot be heard operating five times in a cycle, connect the wire of the injector of cylinder 2 to the
injector of cylinder 1 and use command AC006 Cylinder 2 injector.
Does this injector actuation cycle work?
Note:
If the wires cannot be swapped, continue the procedure by replying YES to the previous question.

Control the injectors using commands:
– AC005 Cylinder 1 injector,
– AC006 Cylinder 2 injector,
– AC007 Cylinder 3 injector,
– AC008 Cylinder 4 injector.
Can you hear the valve moving when you are 1 metre
from the vehicle?Run TEST 9 Diesel filter check.
If the test is correct, only replace the faulty
injector(s) (see MR 388 (Logan/Sandero),
MR 451 (Duster), MR 423 (Thalia 2/Symbol
2) or MR 374 (Kangoo VLL), Mechanical,
13B, Diesel injection, Diesel injector:
Removal - Refitting).
Check the high pressure system by running TEST 6 High pressure system check.
Check the condition of the computer connections (for bent pins, signs of oxidation, silicone, etc.) and check that
the computer connectors lock correctly.
Contact the Techline if the customer complaint is still present.

TEST 3 Injector check
Conduct a visual inspection around the injectors.
Is there diesel fuel around the injectors?Locate the source of the leak and carry out the
necessary repairs.
Control the injectors using the commands:
– AC005 Cylinder 1 injector,
– AC006 Cylinder 2 injector,
– AC007 Cylinder 3 injector,
– AC008 Cylinder 4 injector.
Can you hear the valve moving when you are 1
metre from the vehicle?Check the insulation and the continuity of the
electrical circuit.
Run TEST 9 Diesel filter check.
If TEST 9 is correct, replace the faulty
injector(s) (see MR 388 (Logan/Sandero) or MR
451 (Duster), MR 423 (Thalia 2/Symbol 2) or MR
374 (Kangoo VLL), Mechanical, 13B, Diesel
injection, Diesel injector: Removal - Refitting).
