Maintenance and care
■When replacing wheels
The wheels of your vehicle are equipped with tire pressure warning valves and trans-
mitters that allow the tire pressure warnin g system to provide advance warning in the
event of a loss in tire inflation pressure. Whenever wheels are replaced, tire pressure
warning valves and transmitters must be installed. ( P. 6 3 1 )
CAUTION
■When replacing wheels
●Do not use wheels that are a different size from those recommended in the
Owner’s Manual, as this may result in a loss of handling control.
●Never use an inner tube in a leaking wheel which is designed for a tubeless tire.
Doing so may result in an accident, causing death or serious injury.
●2WD F SPORT models: Do not install steel wheels.
The wheel contact surface could be da maged, and the wheel could come off
while driving, which could lead to an accid ent resulting in death or serious injury.
NOTICE
■Replacing tire pressure warning valves and transmitters
●Because tire repair or replacement may affect the tire pressure warning valves
and transmitters, make sure to have tires serviced by your Lexus dealer or other
qualified service shop. In addition, make sure to purchase your tire pressure
warning valves and transmitters at your Lexus dealer.
●Ensure that only genuine Lexus wh eels are used on your vehicle.
Tire pressure warning valves and transmitters may not work properly with non-
genuine wheels.

7-2. Steps to take in an emergency
If a warning light turns on or a warning buzzer
sounds
The following warning indicates a possible problem in the brake system.
Immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place and contact your Lexus
dealer.
Calmly perform the following actions if any of the warning lights comes
on or flashes. If a light comes on or flashes, but then goes off, this does
not necessarily indicate a malfunction in the system. However, if this
continues to occur, have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
Stop the vehicle immediately. Cont inuing to drive the vehicle may
be dangerous.

that may lead to an acc ident. Immediately stop th e vehicle in a safe place
and contact your Lexus dealer.
Failure to investigate the cause of th e following warnings may lead to the
system operating abnormally and possib ly cause an accident. Have the
vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately.

Pre-collision system warning light Indicates a malfunction in the pre-collision system
The warning light will operate as follows, even when the system
is not malfunctioning:
• The light will flash quickly when the system is operating. ( P. 2 7 8 )
• The light will turn on when the pre-collision system is dis-
abled. ( P. 2 8 0 )
• The light will flash when the system cannot temporarily be used. ( P. 7 0 8 )
Slip indicator
Indicates a malfunction in:
• The VSC system;
•The TRAC system; or
• The hill-start assist control system
The light will flash when the VSC, the TRAC or the hill-start
assist control system is operating.

After taking the specified steps to correct the suspected problem, check
that the warning light goes off.
