"E85" fuel is an alternative fuel com-
prised of 85 percent ethanol and 15 per-
cent gasoline, and is manufactured
exclusively for use in Flexible Fuel
Vehicles. “E85” is not compatible with
your vehicle. Use of “E85” may result in
poor engine performance and damage to
your vehicle's engine and fuel system.
HYUNDAI recommends that customers
do not use fuel with an ethanol content
exceeding 10 percent.A020105AUN
Do not use methanol
Fuels containing methanol (wood alco-
hol) should not be used in your vehicle.
This type of fuel can reduce vehicle per-
formance and damage components of
the fuel system.
Fuel Additives
HYUNDAI recommends that you use good
quality gasolines treated with detergent
additives such as TOP TIER Detergent
Gasoline, which help prevent deposit for-
mation in the engine. These gasolines will
help the engine run cleaner and enhance
performance of the Emission Control
System. For more information on TOP
TIER Detergent Gasoline, please go to the
website (www.toptiergas.com).For customers who do not use TOP Tier
Detergent Gasoline regularly, and have
problems starting or the engine does not
run smoothly, additives that you can buy
separately may be added to the gasoline.
If TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline is not
available, one bottle of additive added to
the fuel tank at every 7,500 miles or 12
months is recommended. Additives are
available from your authorized HYUNDAI
dealer along with information on how to
use them. Do not mix other additives.

Operation in foreign countries
If you are going to drive your vehicle in
another country, be sure to:
Observe all regulations regarding reg-
istration and insurance.
Determine that acceptable fuel is avail- able.
CAUTION
Your New Vehicle Limited Warrantymay not cover damage to the fuelsystem and any performance prob-lems that are caused by the use of fuels containing methanol.
CAUTION
Never use gasohol which containsmethanol. Discontinue use of anygasohol product which impairs dri-vability.
CAUTION
Your New Vehicle Limited Warrantydoes not cover damage to the fuelsystem or any performance prob-lems caused by the use of “E85” fuel.

Seat warmer (if equipped)
The seat warmer is provided to warm the
front seats during cold weather. While the
engine is running, push either of the
switches to warm the driver's seat or the
front passenger's seat.
During mild weather or under conditions
where the operation of the seat warmer
is not needed, keep the switches in the
OFF position.
Each time you push the switch, thetemperature setting of the seat is
changed as follows : When pressing the switch for more
than 1.5 seconds with the seat warmer
operating, the seat warmer will turn
OFF.
The seat warmer defaults to the OFF position whenever the ignition switch is
turned on.
✽ ✽ NOTICE
With the seat warmer switch in the ON
position, the heating system in the seat
turns off or on automatically depending
on the seat temperature.
CAUTION
When cleaning the seats, do not
use an organic solvent such aspaint thinner, benzene, alcoholand gasoline. Doing so may dam-age the surface of the heater orseats.
To prevent overheating the seat warmer, do not place anything onthe seats that insulates againstheat, such as blankets, cushions or seat covers while the seatwarmer is in operation.
Do not place heavy or sharp objects on seats equipped withseat warmers. Damage to the seatwarming components could occur.
WARNING- Seat warmer burns
Passengers should use extreme
caution when using seat warmers
due to the possibility of excess
heating or burns. The occupants
must be able to feel if the seat is
becoming too warm and to turn the
seat warmer off. The seat warmer
may cause burns even at low tem-
peratures, especially if used for
long periods of time. In particular,
the driver must exercise extreme
care for the following types of pas-
sengers:
1. Infants, children, elderly or dis-
abled persons, or hospital outpa-
tients
2. Persons with sensitive skin or those that burn easily
3. Fatigued individuals
4. Intoxicated individuals
5. Individuals taking medication that can cause drowsiness or
sleepiness (sleeping pills, cold
tablets, etc.)

Non-operational conditions of
parking assist system
Parking assist system may not oper-ate normally when:
1. Moisture is frozen to the sensor. (It will operate normally when the moisture
melts.)
2. The sensor is covered with foreign matter, such as snow or water, or the
sensor cover is blocked. (It will operate
normally when the material is removed
or the sensor is no longer blocked.)
3. The sensor is stained with foreign mat- ter such as snow or water. (Sensing
range will return to normal when
removed.)
There is a possibility of parkingassist system malfunction when:
1. Driving on uneven road surfaces such as unpaved roads, gravel, bumps, or
gradient.
2. Objects generating excessive noise such as vehicle horns, loud motorcycle
engines, or truck air brakes can inter-
fere with the sensor.
3. Heavy rain or water spray.
4. Wireless transmitters or mobile phones present near the sensor.
5. Sensor is covered with snow.

Headlight bulbHeadlight (HID type) bulb replace-
ment (if equipped)
If the light bulb is not operating, have the
vehicle checked by an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.
✽ ✽ NOTICE
HID lamps have superior performance
vs. halogen bulbs. HID lamps are esti-
mated by the manufacturer to last twice
as long or longer than halogen bulbs
depending on their frequency of use.
They will probably require replacement
at some point in the life of the vehicle.
Cycling the headlamps on and off more
than typical use will shorten HID lamp
life. HID lamps do not fail in the same
manner as halogen incandescent lamps.
If a headlamp goes out after a period of
operation but will immediately relight
when the headlamp switch is cycled it is
likely the HID lamp needs to be replaced.
HID lighting components are more com-
plex than conventional halogen bulb and
thus have higher replacement cost.

WARNING- Halogen bulbs
Halogen bulbs contain pressur-
ized gas that will produce small
pieces of glass if broken.
Always handle the bulbs careful- ly, and avoid scratches and abra-
sions. If the bulbs are lit, avoid
contact with liquids.
Never touch the glass with bare hands. Residual oil may cause
the bulb to overheat and burst
when lit.
(Continued)
(Continued)
If a bulb becomes damaged orcracked, replace it immediately
and carefully dispose of it.
Wear eye protection when chang- ing a bulb. Allow the bulb to cool
down before handling it.
WARNING - HID Headlight
low beam (if equipped)
Do not attempt to replace or
inspect the low beam (XENON bulb)
due to electric shock danger. If the
low beam (XENON bulb) is not
working, have your vehicle checked
by an authorized HYUNDAI Dealer.
CAUTION
If your vehicle is equipped with
High Intensity Discharge (HID)headlights, these headlights con- tain mercury. So if you need to haveyour vehicle disposed, you shouldremove the HID Headlights before disposal. The removed HID head-lights should be recycled, re-used or disposed as hazardous waste.
