Push the TRIP button for less than 1 sec- 
ond to change the function as follow;
Odometer (km or mi.) The odometer indicates the total dis- 
tance the vehicle has been driven. 
You will also find the odometer useful to 
determine when periodic maintenance

vidual trips selected since the last trip-meter reset. 
The meter’s working range is from

Pressing the RESET button for more 
than 1 second, when the tripmeter (TRIP
A or TRIP B) is being displayed, clears
the tripmeter to zero (0.0).

User Settings Mode (Only for Type Bcluster, if equipped)
1. Stop the vehicle with the ignition switch in the ON position or engine 
running.
2. Press the TRIP button until the User setting is displayed.
3. With the User setting displayed, press the TRIP button for 2 seconds.
4. You can change the item by pressing the TRIP button and select an item by
pressing the RESET button. 
Auto Door Lock
Off - The auto door lock operation will be canceled.
Speed - All doors will be automatically locked when the vehicle speed
exceeds 15km/h (9.3mph).
Shift Lever - All doors will be automati- cally locked if the shift lever
is shifted from the P (Park)
position to the R (Reverse),
N (Neutral) or D (Drive)
position. (for automatic
transaxle)
Speed or Shift Lever - All doors will be automatically locked if One or
more of the above two condi-
tions are satisfied. (for auto-
matic transaxle)

The notice appears to inform the driver to 
turn on the fuse switch in the instrument
panel under the steering wheel. 
For more details, refer to “Fuses” in sec- tion 7.  
If the engine start/stop button changes to 
the OFF position when the smart key in
the vehicle discharges, the warning illu-
minates on the LCD display for about 10
seconds. Also, the warning chime
sounds once. 
Replace the battery with a new one.
(for automatic transaxle, if equipped)
If the engine start/stop button changes to 
the ACC position twice by pressing the
button repeatedly without depressing the
brake pedal, the warning illuminates on
the LCD display for about 10 seconds to
indicate that you should depress the
brake pedal to start the engine.

Temperature unit conversion 
You can switch the temperature mode 
between Centigrade to Fahrenheit as fol-
lows: 
While pressing the OFF button, press the 
MAX A/C button for 4 seconds or more.
The display will change from Centigrade 
to Fahrenheit, or from Fahrenheit to
Centigrade. 
If the battery has been discharged or dis- 
connected, the temperature mode dis-
play will reset to Centigrade.
Air intake control 
This is used to select the outside (fresh) air position or recirculated air position. 
To change the air intake control position, 
push the control button. Recirculated air position      
The indicator light on the
button is illuminated whenthe recirculated air positionis selected.
With the recirculated air position selected, air from
the passenger compart-
ment will be drawn through
the heating system andheated or cooled accordingto the function selected.
Outside (fresh) air position   The indicator light on the
button is illuminated whenthe outside (fresh) air posi-tion is selected. With the outside (fresh) air position  selected, air
enters the vehicle from out-side and is heated orcooled according to thefunction selected.

Temperature control
The temperature control knob allows you 
to control the temperature of the air flow-
ing from the ventilation system. To
change the air temperature in the pas-
senger compartment, turn the knob to
the right position for warm and hot air or
left position for cooler air.Temperature unit onversion

Outside thermometer 
The current outside temperature is dis- 
played in 1°C (1°F) increments. The tem-
perature range is between -30°C ~ 60°C(-30°F~140°F). 
The outside temperature on the display 
may not change immediately like a gen-
eral thermometer to prevent the driver
from being inattentive.Floor mat anchor (if equipped) When using a floor mat on the front floor 
carpet, make sure it attaches to the floor
mat anchor in your vehicle. This keeps
the floor mat from sliding forward.

The following must be observed when installing ANY floor mat to
the vehicle. 
 Ensure that the floor mats are securely attached to the vehicle’s 
floor mat anchor(s) before driving
the vehicle.
 Do not use ANY floor mat that cannot be firmly attached to the
vehicle’s floor mat anchors.
 Do not stack floor mats on top of one another (e.g. all-weather rub-ber mat on top of a carpeted floor
mat). Only a single floor mat
should be installed in each posi-tion.
IMPORTANT – Your vehicle was manufactured with driver’s side
floor mat anchors that are
designed to securely hold the
floor mat in place. To avoid any
interference with pedal operation,
HYUNDAI recommends that the
HYUNDAI floor mat designed for

6. Button &  Knob 
Turns on/off the set when the IGNITION 
SWITCH is on ACC or ON. If the button
is turned to the right, it increases the
voume and left,decreases the volume. 
Adjusts the volume of the car audio sys- 
tem. Rotate clockwise to increase the
volume or counterclockwise to decrease. 
7. Button 
 When the  button is pressed,it increases the band frequency to 
automatically select channel. Stops at
the previous frequency if no channel is
found.
 When the  button is press- ed, it reduces the band frequency to 
automatically select channel. Stops at
the previous frequency if no channel is
found. 8. Button 
Turn ON/OFF the displayed data and 
light on LCD. When LCD Display is
turned OFF, Press any button to turn ON
display. 
9. Button(AUTO STORE
Button)
When the button is pressed, it automati- 
cally selects and saves channels with
high reception rate to PRESET buttons ~ and plays the channel
saved in PRESET1. If no channel is
saved after AST, it will play the previouschannel. 
10. Button 
Press this button to turn to the SETUP 
adjustment mode. ■
