If the ignition key is at STOP position, the light
stays on for 15 minutes. If, during this period,
a door or the tailgate is opened, the 15 minute
timing is reset.
The passenger side sun visor shows some symbols
and a message regarding the correct use of the
child seat in the presence of passenger airbags (for
more information, see the "Passenger side front
airbag" in the chapter "Safety").
SUN ROOF(for versions/markets, where provided)
The large electric sun roof comprises two panes of
glass, one of which is mobile and the other fixed.
These are equipped with two
sun blinds (front and rear) that can be moved
manually.
The sun blinds be used in "fully closed" or "fully
open" positions (they have no fixed intermediate
positions).
To open the sun blinds: grip handle A fig. 79, release
it and move it in the direction of the arrows to
the "fully open" position.
To close them, carry out the procedure in reverse.
The sun roof can be operated only with the ignition
key turned to MAR-ON. The controls A and B
fig. 80 on the trim next to the front roof light
operate the sun roof opening/closing functions.

WARNING
Make height adjustment of the seat

WARNING
After adjustment , always check that
the cursor to which the ring is fastened
is locked in one of the preset positions. To do
this, with the button A fig. 120 released, exer t
a fur ther pressure to allow the anchor device
to catch if release did not take place at one of
the preset positions.
SBR SYSTEMThe vehicle is equipped with an SBR system (Seat
Belt Reminder) made up of a buzzer which,
together with the warning light
in the instrument
panel flashing, warns the driver and, on some
versions, the front passenger that their seat belt is
not fastened.
To permanently deactivate the buzzer, seek
assistance from a Fiat Dealership.
With a multifunction display, the SBR system can be
reactivated only at a Fiat Dealership.
With a reconfigurable multifunction display, the SBR
system can also be re-enabled through the setup
menu.

WARNING
The ABS with which the car may be
equipped will not control the braking
system of the trailer. Particular caution is
required on slippery roads.
WARNING
Never modify the braking system of the
car to control the trailer brake. The
trailer braking system must be fully
independent of the car ’s hydraulic system.
INSTALLING THE TOW HOOK
The towing device should be fastened to the
bodywork by specialised personnel according to any
additional and/or integrative information supplied
by the Manufacturer of the device. The towing
device must meet current regulations with
reference to Directive 94/20/EEC and subsequent
amendments. For any version the towing device
used must be right for the towable weight of the
car on which it is to be installed.
IMPORTANT The use of auxiliary loads other than
external lights (electric brake, winch, etc.) must
be used with engine running. For the electric connection a unified connector
should be used, which is generally placed on a
special bracket fastened to the towing device, and a
special ECU should be installed on the car to
control the trailer's exterior lights.
7 or 13-pole 12 V DC connections should be used
(CUNA/UNI and ISO/DIN Standards). Follow
any instructions provided by the car manufacturer
and/or the towing device manufacturer.
An electric brake or winch should be powered
directly by the battery through a cable with a
cross-section of no less than 2.5 mm
2.
IMPORTANT Electric brakes or other devices must
be used with engine running.
In addition to the electrical branches, the vehicle's
electrical system can be connected only to the
supply cable for an electric brake and to the cable
for an internal trailer light, though not more than
15 W. For connections use the preset control unit
with battery cable no less than 2.5 mm2.

IMPORTANT At moderate or high ambient
temperatures the warning light may stay on for an
extremely short time.
GLOW PLUG PREHEATING FAILURE
The warning light flashes if there is a fault in the
preheating system. Contact a Fiat Dealership
to have the fault fixed as soon as possible. The
display will show the dedicated message.

Turning the key to the MAR-ON position the
warning light switches on, but it should switch off
after a few seconds.
The warning light turns on when there is water in
the diesel filter.
The display will show the dedicated message. The presence of water in the fuel system
circuit may cause severe damage to
the injection system and irregular engine
operation. If the warning light
switches on (on
some versions together with the dedicated
message on the display), contact a Fiat
Dealership as soon as possible to have the
system bled.Water may have entered the tank if
this appears immediately after refuelling: if
this happens, switch the engine off immediately
and contact a Fiat Dealership.

TPMS FAILURE
(for versions/markets, where provided)
On some versions, the display shows a message and
an amber symbol when a tyre pressure monitoring
system (TPMS) fault is detected: in this case,
contact a Fiat Dealership as soon as possible.
Should one or more wheels be fitted without
sensors, the display will show a warning message
until initial conditions are restored.INSUFFICIENT TYRE PRESSURE
(amber-red) / CHECK TYRE
PRESSURE (amber) / TYRE
PRESSURE UNSUITABLE FOR
SPEED (amber)
(for versions/markets, where provided)
This warning light switches on when the ignition
key is turned to MAR-ON, but it should switch off
after a few seconds.
Insufficient tyre pressure
The warning light (amber), or symbol in the display
(red), switch on when the inflation pressure of
one or more tyres falls below a preset level. In this
way the TPMS warns the driver that one or more
tyres may be dangerously flat and liable to
puncture.IMPORTANT Do not continue driving with one or
more flat tyres as handling may be compromised.
Stop the car, avoiding harsh braking and steering
manoeuvres. Replace the wheel immediately with
the space-saver wheel (for versions/markets, where
provided) or carry out a repair using the dedicated
kit (see “Changing a wheel” in the "In an
emergency" chapter) and contact a Fiat Dealership
as soon as possible.
Check tyre pressure
This warning light (or symbol in the display)
switches on in the instrument panel to indicate that
the tyre pressure is below the value recommended
to guarantee long tyre life and low fuel
consumption. It may also indicate a slow loss of
pressure.
Should two or more tyres be flat, the display will
show the indications corresponding to each tyre in
sequence.
Restore correct tyre pressures as soon as possible
(see “Cold tyre pressures” in the “Technical data”
chapter).
Tyre pressure unsuitable for speed
Should you need to travel at a speed higher than
160 km/h, inflate the tyres to the pressures
specified in “Tyre pressures” paragraph.
If the TPMS system (for versions/markets where
provided) detects that the pressure of one or more
tyres is unsuitable for the current speed, the

warning light will turn on (together with the
message on the display) (see “Tyre pressure low” in
this chapter) and it will stay on until the car slows
down to a speed below the preset threshold.
IMPORTANT In this case slow down immediately
since tyre overheating could impair tyre
performance and life beyond repair, and even make
the tyre to blow-out.
WARNING
Particularly strong radio frequency
interference may cause the TPMS to
function incorrectly.This condition is indicated
to the driver by a message (for versions/
markets where provided).The message will
disappear automatically as soon as the
interference ceases to affect the system.EXTERNAL LIGHT FAILURE
(amber)
This warning light (or symbol on the display)
switches on when a failure is detected in any of the
following lights:
❒side lights
❒brake (stop) lights or corresponding fuse (see the
description provided for this symbol
).❒rear fog lights
❒direction indicators
❒number plate lights.
The failure relating to these lights could be: one or
more blown bulbs, a blown protection fuse or a
break in the electrical connection.
The display will show the dedicated message.
BRAKE LIGHT FAILURE (amber)
The symbol switches on in the display when a
failure is detected in the brake (stop) lights.
The failure relating to these lights could be: one or
more blown bulbs, a blown protection fuse or a
break in the electrical connection.
On certain versions warning light
comes on
instead.
REAR FOG LIGHTS (amber)
The warning light switches on when the rear fog
lights are activated.
