Removing the cartridge
)Stow the black pipe. )Detach the angled base from the white pipe.)Suppor t the compressor ver tically.)Unscrew the car tridge from the bottom.
Checking tyre pressures /
inflating accessories
You can also use the compressor, without
injecting any product, to:
- check or adjust the pressure of your tyres,
- inflate other accessories (balls, bicycle
tyres...).

)
Turn the selector Ato the "Air"
position.
) Uncoil the black pipe H
fully.)
Connect the black pipe to the
valve of the wheel or accessory.
If necessary, fit one of the adaptorssupplied with the kit first.
) Connect the compressor's electrical connector to the vehicle's 12 V socket. )
Star t the vehicle and let the engine run. )
Adjust the pressure using the compressor (to inflate: switch B
in position "I" ; to deflate: switch B
in position "O"and press button C), according to the vehicle's tyrepressure label or the accessory's pressure
label. ) Remove the kit then stow it.




Beware of discharges of fluid.
The expiry date of the fluid is indicated on the car tridge.
The sealant car tridge is designed for single use; even if only par tly used, itmust be replaced. After use, do not discard the car tridgeinto the environment, take it to an authorised waste disposal site or a CITROËN dealer.
Do not forget to obtain a new sealant
cartridge, available from CITROËN dealers or from a qualified workshop.

Engine compartment
fusebox
The fusebox is placed in the engine compartment near the battery (left-hand side).

Access to the fuses

Unclip the cover.)
Change the fuse (see correspondingparagraph).)
When you have finished, close the cover carefully to ensure the sealing of thefusebox.
All work on the fuses in the fusebox
at the battery must be done by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

Battery

The battery is located under the bonnet.
To gain access to it: )open the bonnet using the interior release
lever, then the exterior safety catch,)secure the bonnet stay,)lift the plastic cover on the (+) terminal.
The presence of this label, in particular with the Stop & Start system, indicatesthe use of a 12 V lead-acid battery withspecial technology and specification;the involvement of a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop is essential when replacing or disconnecting thebattery. Failure to observe this recommendation may cause premature wear of thebattery.

After refitting the battery by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop,the Stop & Star t system will only be active after a continuous period of immobilisation of the vehicle, aperiod which depends on the climaticconditions and the state of charge of the battery (up to about 8 hours). Procedure for char
ging your battery when it is flat or for star ting the engine using another battery.

Charging the battery using
a battery charger

When the battery on your vehicle is discharged,
the engine can be star ted using a slave battery (external or on another vehicle) and jump leads.
) Follow the instructions for use provided by
the manufacturer of the charger.

First check that the slave battery has a nominal
voltage of 12 V and a capacity at least equal to
that of the discharged battery.
Do not try to star t the engine by connecting a
batter
y charger.
Do not disconnect the (+) terminal when theengine is running.
)Connect the red cable to the positive
terminal (+) of the flat battery A , then to the positive terminal (+) of the slave battery B
.)Connect one end of the green or blackcable to the negative terminal (-) of the slave battery B
(or ear th point on the other
vehicle).)Connect the other end of the green or black cable to the negative terminal C(or
the engine mounting) of the broken-down
vehicle.)Star t the engine of the other vehicle and
allow it to run for a few minutes.
Do not disconnect the battery to charge it.
)
Operate the star ter of the broken-down
vehicle and let the engine run.
If the engine does not star t immediately, switch off the ignition and wait a few
moments before trying again.) Wait until the engine returns to idle, then
disconnect the jump leads in reverse order.


Batteries contain harmful substances such as sulphuric acid and lead. They must be disposed of in accordance with regulationsand must not, in any circumstances, bediscarded with household waste.
Take used remote control batteries and vehicle batteries to a special collection
point.

Practical information

Protect your eyes and face before
handling the battery. All operations on the battery must becarried out in a well ventilated area away from naked flames and sourcesof sparks, so as to avoid the risk of explosion and fire.
Do not try to charge a frozen battery; the battery must first be thawed out to avoid the risk of explosion. If the batteryhas been frozen, before charging have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or aqualified workshop who will check that the internal components have not beendamaged and the casing is not cracked,which could cause a leak of toxic and corrosive acid.
Do not reverse the polarity and use only a 12 V charger.
Do not disconnect the terminals whilethe engine is running. Do not charge the batteries without disconnecting the terminals first.
Wash your hands afterwards.

Do not push the vehicle to star t the
engine if you have an electronic gearbox or automatic gearbox.

Energy economy mode


Exiting economy mode

These functions are reactivated automatically
the next time the vehicle is driven. ) In order to resume the use of thesefunctions immediately, star t the engine and
let it run for a few minutes.
The time available to you will then be double
the period for which the engine is left running. However, this period will always be between five and thir ty minutes.
Switching to economy mode
Once this period has elapsed, a message appears on the multifunction screen indicating
that the vehicle has switched to economy mode and the active functions are put on standby.
A flat battery prevents the engine from starting (refer to the correspondingparagraph).
If the telephone is being used at thesame time on the eMyWay audionavigation system, it will be interrupted after 10 minutes. S
ystem which manages the period of use of certain functions to conserve a sufficient level
of charge in the battery.
After the engine has stopped, you canstill use functions such as the audio
equipment, windscreen wipers, dippedbeam headlamps, cour tesy lamps, etc. for a
maximum combined period of thirty minutes. S
ystem which manages the use of cer tain
functions according to the level of charge
remaining in the battery.
When the vehicle is being driven, the load
reduction function temporarily deactivates certain functions, such as the air conditioning,
the heated rear screen...
The deactivated functions are reactivated
automatically as soon as conditions permit.








Load reduction mode
This period may be greatly reduced if the battery is not fully charged.
