2nd position (ignition on).Wait until the warning lamp has switched off before starting.
The duration for which the warning lamp is on is determined
by the climatic conditions.
Parking brakefixed. The parking brake is applied or not properly released.Release the parking brake to switch off the warninglamp, keeping your foot on the brake pedal.
Obser ve the safety recommendations.
For further information on the parking brake, refer to
the "Parking brake" section.
Engine coolanttemperaturefixed blueOn starting the engine, it indicates
that the engine is cold. After a few minutes driving, it swiches off to indicate
that the engine temperature is normal. In order to protect your engine, avoid driving too hard
until the warning lamp has switched off.
Stop & Startfixed. When the vehicle stops (red lights, traffic jams, ...) the Stop & Start system has put
the engine into STOP mode.
The warning lamp goes off and the engine restarts
automatically in START mode, as soon as you want tomove off.

fixed, alone or associated withanother warning lamp, accompanied by anaudible signal and a
message on the screen.
The illumination of this warning lamp
is related to a serious fault with thebraking system, the power steering,
the engine oil pressure or the enginecoolant temperature. Stop as soon as it is safe to do so, as the en
gine may cut out while driving.
Park, switch off the ignition and call a CITROËN
dealer or a qualified workshop.

accompanied by an
audible signal and
a messa

multifunction screen.
A minor fault has occurred for which
there is no specific warning lamp. Identify the fault by reading the message shown on
the screen, such as, for example:
- engine oil level,
- screenwash level,
- remote control batter
y,
- state of the bulbs,
- saturation of the par ticle emission filter on Diesel
vehicles
(see "Checks - Particle Emissions
Filter").
For any other faults, contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

A major fault has occurred for which
there is no specific warning lamp. Identify the fault by reading the message shown
on the screen and contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
Any fault resulting in the illumination of a warning lamp must be investigated further by reading the associated message in the multifunction screen. If you encounter any problems, do not hesitate to contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
When the engine is running or the vehicle is
being driven, the illumination of one of the following warning lamps indicates a fault which
requires action on the par t of the driver.

Low fuel level fixed. When it first comes on there remainsapproximately 5 litres offfuel
in the
tank. Yo u m u s t r e
fuel as soon as possible to avoid running out of fuel. This warning lamp will come on every time the ignition
is switched on, until a sufficient addition of fuel is made.
Fuel tank capacity: approximately 50 litres (petrol) or
48 litres (Diesel); depending on version: approximately
30 litres (petrol or Diesel).
Never continue to drive until you run out of fuel as
this could damage the emission control and injection systems.

Maximum coolant temperature
fixed red. The temperature of the cooling system is too high. Stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Wait until the engine has cooled down before topping
up the level, if necessary.
If the problem persists, contact a CITROËN dealer or qualified workshop.
Engine oilpressure
fixed. There is a fault with the engine
lubrication system. You must stop as soon it is safe to do so.
Park, switch off the ignition and contact a CITROËN
dealer or a quali

Battery charge
fixed. The battery charging circuit has a fault (dirty or loose terminals, slack or cut alternator belt, ...). The warnin
g lamp should go off when the engine is started.
If it does not go off, contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

Checks

Coolant level
The coolant level should be close
to the "MA X" mark but should never exceed it.
Fluid specifi cation
For optimum cleaning and to avoid freezing,
this fluid must not be topped up or replaced
with plain water.
Fluid specifi cation
The coolant must conform to themanufacturer's recommendations.
Changing the coolant
The coolant does not have to be changed.
Screenwash fluid level
When the engine is warm, the temperature of
the coolant is regulated by the fan.
Top up the level when necessary.
The cooling fan may star t after switching
off the engine: take care with ar ticles andclothing that might become caught by thefan blades.
In addition, as the cooling system is pressurised,
wait at least one hour after switching off theengine before carrying out any work.
To avoid any risk of scalding, unscrew the cap
by two turns to allow the pressure to drop.
When the pressure has dropped, remove the
cap and top up the level.
Diesel additive level
(Diesel engine with particle
emission filter)
Used
products
To p p i ng up
This additive must be topped up by a CITROËN
dealer or a qualified workshop without delay.
Avoid prolonged contact of used oil or fluids with the skin.
Most of these fluids are harmful tohealth or indeed very corrosive.
Do not discard used oil or fluids into sewers or onto the ground.
Take used oil to a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop (France) or to anauthorised waste disposal site.
Th
e additive reservoir lowlevel is indicated by fixed
illumination of this warning lamp,
accompanied by an audible
warning and a message in the
multifunction screen.

Towing a trailer, ...
Driving advice
Cooling
Towing a trailer on a slope increases the
temperature of the coolant.
As the fan is electrically controlled, its coolingcapacity is not dependent on the engine speed. ) To lower the engine speed, reduce your speed.
The maximum towed load on a long incline depends on the gradient and the ambient
temperature.
In all cases, keep a check on the coolant
temperature.
Side wind
) Take into account the increased sensitivityto side wind.
)If the warning lamp and the STOPwarning lamp come on, stop the
vehicle and switch off the engine
as soon as possible.
Towbar suitable for the attachment of a trailer or installation of a bic
ycle carrier, with additional lighting and signalling.
Distribution of loads
)
Distribute the load in the trailer so that the
heaviest items are as close as possible to
the axle and the nose weight approaches the
maximum permitted without exceeding it.
Air density decreases with altitude, thusreducing engine per formance. Above
1 000 metres, the maximum towed load must
be reduced b
y 10 % for every 1 000 metres of altitude.
We recommend the use of genuine CITROËN towbars and their harnesses that have been tested and approvedfrom the design stage of your vehicle, and that the fitting of the towbar isentrusted to a CITROËN dealer or aqualified workshop.
If the towbar is not fitted by a CITROËN dealer, it is imperative that it isfitted in accordance with the vehiclemanufacturer's instructions.
Driving with a trailer places greater demands
on the towing vehicle and the driver must takepar ticular care.
Your vehicle is primaril
y designed for transporting people and luggage, but it may also be used for towing a trailer.
R
efer to the "Technical data" section for details
of the weights and towed loads which apply toyour vehicle.
