Limit the causes of excess consumption
Spread loads throughout the vehicle; place the heaviest items in the bottom of the boot, as close as possible to the rear seats.Limit the loads carried in the vehicle and reduce wind resistance (roof bars, roof rack, bicycle carrier, trailer...). Use a roof box in preference.Remove roof bars and roof racks after use.


At the end of winter, remove snow tyres and refit your summer tyres.


Observe the recommendations on maintenance


Check the tyre pressures regularly, when cold, referring to the label in the door aperture, driver's side. Carry out this check in par ticular:



- before a long journey,

- at each change of season,

- after a long period out of use.
Don't forget the spare wheel and the tyres on any trailer or caravan.


Have your vehicle ser viced regularly (engine oil, oil filter, air filter...) andobser ve the schedule of operations recommended by the manufacturer.


When refuelling, do not continue after the third cut-off of the nozzle toavoid any over flow.


At the wheel of your new vehicle, it is only after the first 1 800 miles(3 000 kilometres) that you will see the fuel consumption settle down toa consistent average.

In automated mode, you can temporarily takecontrol of gear changes at any time, using thesteering mounted control paddles.
The steering mounted paddles do not allow neutral to be selected, reversegear to be engaged or disengaged, or the driving mode to be changed.

You do not have to switch the s
peed limiter
on in order to set the speed.
Exceeding the programmed speed
Pressing the accelerator pedal to exceed the programmed speed will not have any effect unless you press the pedal firmlypast the point of resistance. The speed limiter is deactivated temporarily and the programmedspeed, which is still displayed, flashes.
Returning to the programmed speed, by means of intentional or
unintentional deceleration of the vehicle, automatically cancels theflashing of the programmed speed.


Leaving limiter mode
)Turn thumb wheel 1
to the "0"position: the speed limiter mode isdeselected. The display returns to the distance recorder.



Operating fault

In the event of a speed limiter fault, the speed
is cleared resulting in flashing of the dashes.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
)Set the speed value by pressing button 2or 3(e.g.: 55 mph(90 km/h)).
You can then change the programmed speed using buttons 2 and 3:


- by + or - 1 mph (km/h) = shor t press,

- by + or - 5 mph (km/h) = long press,

- in steps of + or - 5 mph (km/h) = maintained press. )Switch the speed limiter on by pressing button 4
. )Switch the speed limiter off by pressing button 4
: the display confirms that it has been switched off (PAUS E).)Switch the speed limiter back on by pressing button 4
again.

On a steep descent or in the event of sharp acceleration, the speed limiter willnot be able to prevent the vehicle from exceeding the programmed speed.
To avoid any risk of jamming of the pedals:


- ensure that the mat is positioned correctly,

- do not fit one mat on top of another.

Exceeding the programmed speed

Intentional or unintentional exceeding of the programmed speed results
in flashing of this speed in the screen.
Return to the programmed speed, by means of intentional or
unintentional deceleration of the vehicle, automatically cancels theflashing of the speed.

Leaving cruise control mode

to the "0"position: the cruise control mode is
deselected. The display returns to the distance recorder.

)Switch off the cruise control by pressing button 4: the screenconfirms that it has been switched off (PAUS E).
)Switch the cruise control back on by pressing button 4again.



Operating fault

In the event of a cruise control malfunction,
the speed is cleared resulting in flashing of the
dashes. Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

When the cruise control is switched on,be careful if you maintain the pressure on one of the programmed speedchanging buttons: this may result in avery rapid change in the speed of your vehicle. Do not use the cruise control on slippery roads or in heavy traffic. On a steep descent, the cruise control will not be able to prevent the vehicle from exceeding the programmed speed.
To avoid any risk of jamming of the pedals:


- ensure that the mat is positioned correctly,

- never fit one mat on top of another.

You can then change the programmed speed using buttons

Removing a wheel

)Remove the bolt cover from each of the bolts using the tool 3(with alloy wheels
only). )Fit the security bolt socket 4 on thewheelbrace 1to slacken the security bolt(if your vehicle has them).)Slacken the other bolts using the

Parking the vehicle
Immobilise the vehicle where it does not block traffic: the ground must be level, stable and not slippery. Apply the parking brake, switch off theignition and engage first gear *
to lock the wheels. If necessary, place a chock under the wheel diagonally opposite the wheel tobe changed. It is imperative that you ensure that the occupants get out of the vehicle and wait where they are safe.Never go underneath a vehicle raisedusing a jack; use an axle stand.
