197 Accessing the spare tire
1 and jack
Location of the spare wheel and tools
Lug wrench
Jack
Spare tire (stored with the outer side of the
rim downward)
The spare tire, jack and lug wrench are located
in a storage compartment under the floor of the
cargo area. The spare tire is held in place by a
retaining screw.
Taking out the spare tire1. Lift the rear edge of the floor in the cargo
area.
2. Unscrew the spare tire's retaining screw
and lift out the spare tire.
3. Release the strap holding the jack in place
and lift them out of their storage compart-
ments.Returning the jack, tools and spare tire
to the storage compartment
1. Crank down the jack completely, fold the
crank and return them to their storage
compartments.
2. Tighten the strap holding the jack in place.
3. Put the wheel in the storage compartment
with the outer side of the rim downward.
4. Tighten the retaining screw.
