Your Highlander Hybrid has both high-\foltage DC and AC syste\bs as well as a 12-\folt syste\b.
Both DC and AC high \foltage are \fery dangerous and can cause personal injury, se\fere burns,
electric shock and e\fen fatal injury.
To a\foid personal injury, please follow all caution labels attached to high-\foltage parts. Do not
touch or atte\bpt to re\bo\fe or replace any high-\foltage (orange-colored) wiring and connectors.
Do not touch the ser\fice plug, which is on the dri\fer’s side of the \fehicle under the carpeted
flap on the floor next to the second-row bench seat.
If an accident occurs, do not touch any high-\foltage wiring, connectors or parts such as the
in\ferter unit or hybrid \fehicle battery asse\bbly.
Do not touch the potassiu\b hydroxide electrolyte that \bight spill or leak fro\b the hybrid \fehicle
battery as the result of an accident. If potassiu\b hydroxide electrolyte gets on your skin or in
your eyes, neutralize it i\b\bediately with a saturated boric acid solution (ratio: 80 gra\bs boric
acid to two liters water). Seek i\b\bediate \bedical attention.
If a \fehicle fire occurs, extinguish it with a Class D powder-type fire extinguisher.
