Making a call – from the directory*
Press the “MENU” button.
Press (Telephone).
Press (Call).
Press (Directory) to display the directory list.
Press ( or ) to select the desired number.
Press “ ” or “ ” on the “SEEK” button to select the next or pre-
vious page in the directory list.
Press (OK) to start the call.
*: Depending on the compatibility of the telephone
Receiving a call
An incoming call is announced by a ring and a display on the
screen.
Press (YES) to accept the call, or (NO) to reject
the call.
Press the “SRC/ ” button also accepts an incoming call.
Press and hold the “ESC” button or the “SRC/ ” button also
rejects an incoming call.

Audio settings
Adjusting equalizer
Press the button repeatedly until equalizer mode is dis-
played.
Press (< or >) to select type of equalizer (classical,
jazz, rock etc.).
When selected “User”, adjust the bass and treble audio level manu-
ally by pressing (+ or -).
The audio settings are different and independent for each sound
source.
Adjusting sound distribution
Press the button repeatedly until sound distribution mode
is displayed.
Press (+ or -) to adjust the left/right balance.

Press the button to display the audio settings menu.
The distribution, or spatialization of sound, is an audio process
which allows the sound quality to be improved according to the set-
ting chosen, corresponding to the position of the listeners in the
vehicle.
The audio settings menu
changes each time the
button is pressed.
The settings available are:
• Equalizer (bass and treble)
• Sound distribution (left/right
balance)
• Loudness function

Type A only: Also, press (Power) to turn the audio system on and off.
The audio power can be turned on only once even when the key is not in the
engine switch. The power, however, will automatically turn off when 30 min-
utes have elapsed.
When disconnecting and reconnecting battery terminals
The clock data will be reset.

Oil viscosity (0W-20 is explained here as an example):
• The 0W in 0W-20 indicates the characteristic of the oil which allows
cold startability. Oils with a lower value before the W allow for easier
starting of the engine in cold weather.
• The 20 in 0W-20 indicates the viscosity characteristic of the oil when
the oil is at high temperature. An oil with a higher viscosity (one with a
higher value) may be better suited if the vehicle is operated at high
speeds, or under extreme load conditions.
How to read oil container labels:
Either or both API registered marks are added to some oil containers
to help you select the oil you should use.
