Push eject:
This is a malfunction due to the temperature inside
the player is too high\f Remove the CD by pushing
the EJECT button\b and after a short time reinsert
the CD\f The CD can be played when the

Unplayable:
The file is unplayable in this audio system (only
MP3 or WMA CD) \f
USB (Universal Serial Bus) (if equipped)
WARNING:
Do not connect, disconnect or operate the USB
device while driving. Doing so can be a distrac-
tion. If distracted you could lose control of your
vehicle and cause an accident or serious injury.

Troubleshooting guide (model with type A, B, C, D, E, F audio unit):Symptom Cause and Countermeasure
Cannot play Check i\f the disc was inserted correctly.
Check i\f the disc is scratched or dirty.
Check i\f there is condensation inside the player, and i\f there is, wait until the condensation is \bone (about 1 hour) be\fore usin\b the
player.
I\f there is a temperature increase error, the CD player will play correctly a\fter it returns to the normal temperature.
I\f there is a mixture o\f music CD \files (CD-DA data) , MP3/WMA \files on a CD, only the music CD \files (CD-DA data) will be played.
Files with extensions other than “.MP3”, “.WMA”, “.mp3” or “.wma” cannot be played. In addition, the character codes and number o\f
characters \for \folder names and \file names should be in compliance with the speci\fications.
Check i\f the disc or the \file is \benerated in an irre\bular \format. This may occur dependin\b on the variation or the settin\b o\f MP3/WMA
writin\b applications or other text editin\b applications.
Check i\f the \finalization process, such as session close and disc close, is done \for the disc.
Check i\f the disc is protected by copyri\bht.
Poor sound quality Check i\f the disc is scratched or dirty.

match the speci\fications. Try usin\b the slowest writin\b speed.
Skippin\b with hi\bh bit rate \files Skippin\b may occur with lar\be quantities o\f data, such as \for hi\bh bit rate data.
Move immediately to the next son\b
when playin\b. When a non-MP3/WMA \file has been \biven an extension o\f “.MP3”, “.WMA”, “.mp3, “.wma”, or when play is prohibited by copyri\bht
protection, there will be approximately 5 seconds o\f no sound and then the player will skip to the next son\b.

Cannot play Che\fk if the dis\f or \bSB memory devi\fe was inserted \forre\ftly.
Che\fk if the dis\f is s\frat\fhed or dirty.
Che\fk if there is \fondensation inside the player, and if there is, wait until the \fondensation is gone (about 1 hour) before
using the player.
If there is a temperature in\frease error, the player will play \forre\ftly after it returns to the normal temperature.
If there is a mixture of musi\f CD files (CD-DA data) and \fompressed audio files on a CD, only the musi\f CD files (CD-DA
data) will be played.
Files with extensions other than “.MP3 (.mp3)” or “.WMA (.wma)” \fannot be played. In addition, the \fhara\fter \fodes and
number of \fhara\fters for folder names and file names should be in \fomplian\fe with the spe\fifi\fations.

Skipping with high bit rate files Skipping may o\f\fur with large quantities of data, su\fh as for high bit rate data.
Move immediately to the next song when playing. If an unsupported \fompressed audio file has been given a supported extension like .MP3, or when play is prohibited by
\fopyright prote\ftion, the player will skip to the next song.
The songs do not play ba\fk in the desired order. The playba\fk order is the order in whi\fh the files were written by the writing software, so the files might not play in the
desired order.
Random/Shuffle may be a\ftive on the audio system or on a \bSB memory devi\fe.

Audio main operation
The audio system operates when the ignition switch is
in the \fACC” or \fO\b” position.
POWER button:
To turn on the audio system, push the Power button.
.The system will turn on in the mode, (radio or CD)
which was used immediately before the system
was turned off.
. If there is no CD loaded, the radio will be turned
on.
To turn off the audio system, push the Power button.
Volume control:
To control the volume, turn the VOL control knob.
Turn the knob clockwise to make the sound louder.
Turn the knob counterclockwise to make the sound
quieter.
MENU button:
To change the audio settings (BASS, TREBLE,
FADER, BALA\bCE, BEEP and CLOCK) , push the
button to select the mode while the CD or radio is
on.
Push the
button until the desired mode appears
on the display.

frequencies \fnd 6 AM st\ftion frequencies.
To store the st\ftion frequenc\b \futom\ftic\fll\b, push \fnd
hold the
button until \f beep sounds. The st\ftion
will be \futom\ftic\fll\b stored in the “AUTO.P” memor\b.

skip forward tracks. The C\f will advance the number
of times the button is pushed. When the last track of
the C\f is forwarded, the first track will be played.
When the
button is pushed while a C\f is bein\b
played, the present track will start over from the
be\binnin\b of the current track. Push the
button
several times to skip back tracks. The C\f will rewind
the number of times the button is pushed. When the
first track of the C\f is rewound, the last track will be
played.
TUNE/FF·REW/FOLDER button:
When the
orbutton is pushed and held while
a C\f is bein\b played, the C\f will be played while
forwardin\b or rewindin\b. When the button is released,
the C\f will return to the normal play speed.

played, the first 10 seconds of all the tracks will be
played.
When the

The selected track of the C\f will be played con-
tinuously. While the
button is pushed, the display
indicates “RPT TRACK”.
(Random) button:
To chan\be the play sequence, push the
button to
select the mode.

All the tracks of the C\f will be played continuously in
sequential order. The display indicates no symbol
mark. While the
button is pushed, the display
indicates “RPT \fISC”.
R\fM \fISC:
All the tracks of the C\f will be played continuously in random order. While the
button is pushed, the
display indicates “R\fM \fISC”.
MUTE button:
Press the
button to pause the track.
CD EJECT button:
To eject a C\f, push the C\f EJECT
button.
If a C\f is ejected by pushin\b the
button, and it is
not taken out from the loadin\b slot, the C\f will
automatically be reloaded to the slot to protect the C\f
(12 cm discs only) .
AUX button:
The AUX IN jack is located on the audio unit. The AUX
IN audio input jack accepts any standard analo\b audio
input such as from a portable cassette tape, C\f player,
MP3 player or laptop computers.
Push the AUX button to play a compatible device when
it is plu\b\bed into the AUX IN jack.
WARNING:
. Do not allow the cable or an external device
connected to the AUX terminal to affect your
driving.
. Connect a stereo mini-plug (3.5 mm in
diameter) cable to the AUX IN jack. If a
monaural mini-plug cable is used, the audio
will not output correctly.
