.The driver ’s seat belt is unfastened, or
driver’s door is open (for MT model) .
. The hood is open.
The Stop/Start System is al\fays engaged at the start
o\b a journey (once the engine has been started) . The
engine is automatically stopped and restarted during
the journey i\b conditions are suitable.
STOP/START SYSTEM DISPLAY AND IN-

When the engine is stopped the in\bormation is
displayed \bor a \be\f seconds.

display. NOTE:
Automatic engine restart is possible whenever
the Stop/Start System indicator light is illumi-
nated in the meter.

Whilst the engine remains stopped the vehicle
in\bormation display sho\fs the accumulated quantity
(estimate) o\b carbon dioxide exhaust emissions pre-
vented by the Stop/Start System.

is displayed. The engine must be started by turning or
pushing the ignition s\fitch.
The message can be cleared by pressing the
button, restarting the engine, or turning or pushing the

thing wrong with the Stop/Start System. You are
a\fvise\f to have the system checke\f \by a RENAULT
\fealer or qualifie\f workshop.Vehicle information display:

The message can \be cleare\f \by pressing the
\button.
NOTE:
The Stop/Start System indicator in the meter
flashes whilst the fault condition remains.
STOP/START SYSTEM OFF SWITCH

The system can \be temporarily \fisengage\f \by press-
ing the Stop/Start System OFF switch. Pressing the
\button a secon\f time will re-engage the Stop/Start
System.
. When the Stop/Start System is \fisengage\f whilst
the engine is running, the engine is prevente\f from
automatically stopping.
. When the Stop/Start System is \fisengage\f after
the engine has \been automatically stoppe\f \by the
Stop/Start System, the engine will imme\fiately
restart if suita\ble con\fitions are present as
\fescri\be\f un\fer NORMAL OPERATION. The
engine will then \be prevente\f from automatically stopping \furing the same journey.
. Whenever the Stop/Start System is \fisengage\f
the in\ficator light on the Stop/Start System OFF
switch illuminates. In this con\fition the Stop/Start
System cannot prevent unnecessary fuel con-
sumption, exhaust emissions, or noise \furing your
journey.
NOTE:
The following messages may be displayed for a
few seconds in the vehicle information display
when the Stop/Start System OFF switch is
pressed.
