T\b access the vanity mirr\br, pull the sun vis\br d\bwn and
pull up the mirr\br c\bver.
WARNING:
.Never drive the vehicle with the parking
brake applied. The brake will overheat and
fail to operate and will lead to an accident.
. Never release the parking brake from out-
side the vehicle. If the vehicle moves, it will
be impossible to push the foot brake pedal
and will lead to an accident.
. Never use the gearshift in place of the
parking brake. When parking, be sure the
parking brake is fully applied.
. Never leave children or adults who would
normally require the support of others alone
in your vehicle. They could unknowingly
release the parking brake and inadvertently
become involved in a serious accident.

Temperature control:
Turn the temperature control dial to set the desired
temperature. Turn the dial between the middle and the
ri\fht position to select the hot temperature. Turn the
dial between the middle and the left position to select
the cool temperature.
Heater operation
Heating:
This mode is used to direct heated air to the foot
outlets.
1. \bove the air intake lever to the “
” position for
normal heatin\f.
2. Turn the air flow control dial to the “
” position.
3. Turn the fan speed control “
” dial to the
desired position.
4. Turn the temperature control dial to the desired position between the middle and the hot (ri\fht)
position.
Ventilation:
This mode directs outside air to the side and center
ventilators.
1. \bove the air intake lever to the “
” position.
2. Turn the air flow control dial to the “
” position.
3. Turn the fan speed control “
” dial to the
desired position.
4. Turn the temperature control dial to the desired position. Defrosting or defogging:
This mode directs the air to the defo\f\fer outlets to
defrost/defo\f the windows.
1. \bove the air intake lever to the “
” position.
2. Turn the air flow control dial to the “
” position.
3. Turn the fan speed control “
” dial to the
desired position.
4. Turn the temperature control dial to the desired position between the middle and the hot (ri\fht)
position.
5. Turn the side ventilators to the side windows to defrost or defo\f for a clear view to the side
mirrors.
. To remove frost from the outside surface of the
windshield quickly, turn the temperature control
dial to the maximum hot position and the fan
speed control “
” dial to the maximum position.
. If it is difficult to defo\f the windshield, turn the
“A/C” button (if equipped) on.
Bi-level heating:
This mode directs cool air from the side and center
vents and warm air from the foot outlets. When the
temperature control dial is turned to the maximum hot
or cool position, the air between the ventilators and the
foot outlets is the same temperature.
1. \bove the air intake lever to the “
” position.
2. Turn the air flow control dial to the “
” position.
3. Turn the fan speed control “
” dial to the
desired position.
4. Turn the temperature control dial to the desired position. Heating and defogging:
This mode heats the interior and defo\fs the windows.
1. \bove the air intake lever to the “
” position.
2. Turn the air flow control dial to the “
” position.
3. Turn the fan speed control “
” dial to the
desired position.
4. Turn the temperature control dial to the maximum hot (ri\fht) position.
5. Turn the side ventilators to the side windows to defrost or defo\f for a clear view to the side
mirrors.
Air conditioner operation (if equipped)
The air conditioner system should be operated for
approximately 10 minutes at least once a month. This
helps prevent dama\fe to the air conditioner system
due to the lack of lubrication.
Cooling:
This mode is used to cool and dehumidify the air.
1. \bove the air intake lever to the “
” position.
2. Turn the air flow control dial to the “
” position.
3. Turn the fan speed control “
” dial to the
desired position.
4. Push the “A/C” button on. (The “A/C” indicator li\fht will illuminate.)
5. Turn the temperature control dial to the desired position between the middle and the cool (left)
position.
. For quick coolin\f when the outside temperature is
hi\fh, move the air intake lever to the “
”
position. Be sure to move the air intake lever to the
“
” position for normal coolin\f.

.Do not \brive at a constant spee\b, either fast or
slow, for long perio\bs of time.
. Do not run the engine over 4,000 rpm (HR12 or
HR15 engine\f or 2,500 rpm (K9K engine\f .
. Do not accelerate at full throttle in any gear.
. Do not start quickly.
. Do not brake har\b as much as possible.WARNING:
The driving characteristics of your vehicle will
change remarkably by any additional load and
its distribution, as well as by adding optional
equipment (trailer coupling, roof racks, etc.) .
Your driving style and speed must be adjusted
according to the circumstances. Especially when
carrying heavy loads, your speed must be
reduced adequately.
.Make sure the area aroun\b the vehicle is clear.
. Visually inspect tires for their appearance an\b
con\bition. Measure an\b check the tire pressure for
proper inflation.
. Check that all win\bows an\b lights are clean.

. Fasten your seat belt an\b ask all passengers to \bo
