Installation of radiocommunication
transmitters
Before installing accessory
radiocommunication transmitters with an
external aerial on your vehicle, you are
advised to contact a representative of the
PEUGEOT marque.
The PEUGEOT Network will inform
you of the specifications (frequency
band, maximum output power, aerial
position, specific installation conditions)
of the transmitters which can be fitted,
in accordance with the Motor Vehicle
Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive
(2004/104/CE).
This range is also available, structured
around comfort, leisure and maintenance: Trims (except for 163 hp engine), front mud
flaps, rear mud flaps, spoilers, sill, ...
Audio equipment, hands-free kit, speakers, CD changer,
navigation, ...
Regardless of the audio and telematic equipment
offered on the market, the technical constraints linked
with the fi tting of equipment of these families of products
mean that the special features of the equipment and its
compatibility with the capacities of your vehicle's standard
equipment must be taken into account. Please contact a
dealer for information before fi tting such equipment.

Front seat covers compatible with airbags,
benches, rubber mats, carpet mats, boot
tray, roof bars, side blinds, snow chains.
To prevent the mat from becoming caught
under the pedals:


- ensure that the mat and its fixings are
positioned correctly,

- never fit one mat on top of another. Screenwash, replacement fuses, wiper
blades, interior and exterior cleaning
and maintenance products, replacement
bulbs, ...
The fitting of electrical equipment
or accessories which are not
recommended by PEUGEOT may result
in a failure of your vehicle's electronic
system. Please note this specific warning.
You are advised to contact a representative
of the Marque to be shown the range of
recommended equipment and accessories.
Depending on the country in which the
vehicle is sold or operated, it is compulsory
to have a high visibility safety vest, warning
triangle and replacement bulbs available in
the vehicle.
For any work on your vehicle, use
a qualified workshop that has the
technical information, competence and
equipment required, which a PEUGEOT
dealer is able to provide.
Anti-theft alarm, window engraving, first aid
kit, high visibility safety vest, rear parking
sensors, warning triangle, ...

CHECKS


Battery

At the start of winter, have your battery
checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a
qualified workshop.

Brake pads

Brake pad wear depends on the style of
driving, in particular for vehicles which are
used in town, over short distances. It may
be necessary to check the thickness of the
pads, even between services.
Unless there is a leak in the system, a drop
in the brake fluid level indicates that the
brake pads are worn.


Brake disc/drum wear

For any information on checking the brake
disc/drum wear, contact a PEUGEOT dealer
or a qualified workshop.

Parking brake

Where the parking brake travel is too great
or there is a reduction in the performance
of the system, the parking brake should be
adjusted, even between services.
Have the system checked by a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop.
Oil filter

Change the filter regularly, in accordance
with the servicing schedule.
Carbon filter and passenger compartment filter

The carbon fi lter permits continuous and
effective fi ltering of dust.
If the passenger compartment fi lter becomes
clogged, this may reduce the performance
of the air conditioning system and generate
unpleasant odours.
We recommend the use of a combined
passenger compartment fi lter. By means of
its second special active fi lter, it contributes
to the purifi cation of the air breathed by the
occupants and the cleanness of the passenger
compartment (reduction of allergic symptoms,
unpleasant odours and greasy deposits).
Refer to the servicing booklet to fi nd out the
replacement interval for these components.
Depending on the environment (dusty
atmosphere...) and the use of the vehicle
(urban driving...), change them twice as often
if necessary.
This filter actively contributes
to the preservation of air quality
by trapping unburnt polluting
particles. It is controlled
completely and automatically by the engine
management system.
This warning lamp comes on if there is a risk
of blockage of the filter.
This alert signals the start of saturation of
the particle emissions filter (exceptionally
prolonged driving in urban conditions:
reduced speed, traffic jams…).
If this alert persists, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop.
On acceleration after the vehicle has been
running for a prolonged period at very low
speed or at idle, you may, in exceptional
circumstances, notice the emission of water
vapour at the exhaust. This water vapour
does not have any adverse effect on vehicle
handling or the environment.
To regenerate the filter, it is recommended
that as soon as driving conditions permit,
you drive at a speed of at least 36 mph
(60 km/h) for at least 5 minutes (until the
warning lamp goes off and/or the message
disappears).

If an impact is detected by the airbag control unit, and independentlyof the deployment of any airbags, an emergency call is made automatically.
The messa
ge "Deteriorated emergency call" associated with fl ashing
of the orange indicator lamp indicates a malfunction. Contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.
In an emer
gency, press the SOS button until an audible
signal is heard and a "Confi rmation/Cancellation"
screen is displayed (if valid SIM card inserted).
A call is made to the PEU
GEOT Emergency team
which receives locating information from the vehicleand can send a detailed alert to the relevant emergency services.
In countries in which the team is not o
perational, or
when the locating service has been expressly declined,
the call is sent to the emergency services (11 2).
Warning - the emergency call and the services are only active
if the internal telephone is used with a valid SIM card. With a
Bluetooth telephone and without a SIM card, these services are not
operational. Press this button for access to PEUGEOT services.
Customer call
Select "Customer call" to request
any information about the PEUGEOT marque.

Select "PEUGEOT Assistance"
to make a roadside assistance call.

EMERGENCY OR ASSISTANCE CALL
In an emergency, press this button for more than2 seconds. Flashing of the green LED and a voice
message confi rm that the call has been made to the
PEUGEOT Emergency team * .
Pressing this button again immediately cancels the request. The green LED goes off.
A press
(at any time) of more than 8 seconds on this button, cancels the
request.

When the ignition is switched on, the green
LED comes on for 3 seconds indicating that
the system is operating correctly. Pressin
g this button again immediately cancels the request.
The cancellation is confi rmed b
y a voice message.
Press this button for more than 2 seconds to request
assistance if the vehicle breaks down.
A voice message confi rms that the call has been made *
.


OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM
The green LED remains on (without fl ashing) when communication is established. It goes off at the end of communication.
This call is dealt with b
y the PEUGEOT Emergency team which receiveslocating information from the vehicle and can send a detailed alert to theappropriate emergency services. In countries in which the team is not
operational, or when the locating service has been expressly declined,
the call is dealt with directly by the emergency services (11 2) without the
vehicle location.

To display the list o
f available voice commands, press the voice recognition control to start the voice recognition,
then say HELP or the voice recognition command.
