Operation

When you have identified a parking space:)Engage a gear on a manual gearbox or put
the gear lever in position A (electronic gear control gearbox) or in position D(automaticgearbox).)Press button Ato star t the system. )Operate the direction indicator on theside where the space is to be measured; a message is displayed and the warning
lamp flashes to confirm that measurement
is in progress.
)During measurement, go for ward the
length of the space, at a speed less than
12 mph (20 km/h), to prepare for your manoeuvre.)Once the measurement has beencompleted, the system informs you of
the level of difficulty of the manoeuvre
by a message in the multifunction screen accompanied by an audible signal.
The system displays one of the following messages:
Parking possible
Parking difficult
Parking not advised


If the lateral distance between your vehicle and the parking space is toogreat, the system may not be able to measure the space.


The system remains available after each measurement and can therefore measure several spaces in succession. In poor or wintry weather, ensure thatthe sensors are free of dir t, ice or snow.
The parking space sensor systemdeactivates the front parking sensorswhen measuring forwards.
If there is a fault, have the system checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a
qualified workshop.
The s
ystem switches itself off automatically:


- when you engage reverse gear,

- when
you switch off the ignition,

- if measuring is not requested,

- within five minutes of switching on thesystem,

- if the vehicle speed exceeds the threshold
o
f 45 mph (70 km/h) for one minute.

Foglamps selection ring
The foglamps operate with dipped and main beam headlamps.
Front and rear foglamps
Rotate and release the ring: )forwards a first time to switch on the frontfoglamps, )forwards a second time to switch on therear foglamps, )rearwards a first time to switch off the rear
foglamps, )rearwards a second time to switch of the front fog lamps. When the headlamps switch off with automatic
illumination of headlamps
(AUTO model) or
when the dipped beam headlamps are switched
o
ff manually, the foglamps and sidelampsremain on.) Turn the ring rear wards to switch off thefoglamps, the sidelamps will then switch off.

In good or rainy weather, both day and night, the front foglamps and the rear foglamps are prohibited. In these situations, the power of their beams may dazzle other drivers. They shouldonly be used in fog or snow.
In these weather conditions, it is your responsibility to switch on the foglamps and dipped headlamps manually as the sunshine sensor may detect sufficientlight.
Do not forget to switch off the front foglamps and the rear foglamps when they are no longer needed.

Visibility
The sidelamps and dipped beam headlamps are
switched on automatically, without any action
on the part of the driver, when a low level of external light is detected or in certain cases of
activation of the windscreen wipers.

As soon as the brightness returns to a sufficient
level or after the windscreen wipers are switched
o
ff, the lamps are switched off automatically.

Association with automaticguide-me-home lighting
Association with automatic illumination of headlamps provides the guide-me-home lighting with the following additional options:
- selection of the lighting duration of 15, 30
or 60 seconds,
- automatic activation o
f guide-me-home lighting when the automatic illumination of
headlamps is in operation.

Operating fault

In the event of a fault with the sunshine sensor, the lighting comes on, this warning lamp
is displayed in the instrument panel and/or
a message appears in the instrument panel screen, accompanied by an audible signal.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.
In fog or snow, the sunshine sensor maydetect sufficient light. In this case, the lighting will not come on automatically. Do not cover the sunshine sensor,coupled with the rain sensor and located in the centre of the windscreenbehind the rear view mirror; the associated functions would nolonger be controlled.
Programming
Selection of the duration of theguide-me-home lighting is done
in the configuration menu vehicle
parameters, in the instrument panel screen.

Adaptive lighting
Switching on
The driver can take over at any time, if thecircumstances dictate:
System which automatically changes betweendipped and main beam according to the driving conditions, using a sensor in the rear view mirror.
The system is active from 15 mph (25 km/h) and is deactivated below 9 mph (15 km / h).

Flashing the headlamps does notdeactivate the system.The state of the system is stored in memory when switching off the ignition. This automatic headlamp dipping system is a driving aid. The driver remains responsible for the vehicle'slighting and its correct use for theprevailing conditions of light, visibility and traffic.


The system may suffer interference or not work correctly:


- under conditions of poor visibility(for example, snowfall, heavy rain or thick fog, ...),

- if the windscreen is dir ty, misted or obscured (by a sticker, ...) in front of the sensor,

- if the vehicle is facing highly reflective signs.


The system is not able to detect:


- road users that do not have their own lighting, such as pedestrians,

- road users whose lighting isobscured, such as vehicles running behind a safety barrier (on amotorway, for example),

- road users at the top or bottom of a steep slope, on twisty roads, oncrossroads.

Exterior welcome
lighting
Remote switching on of the lighting makes your
approach to the vehicle easier in poor light. It is
activated according to the level of light detected
by the sunshine sensor.

Door mirror spotlamps


Switching on

The spotlamps come on:


- when you unlock the vehicle,

They are timed to go off automatically. To m a k e

these illuminate:
- the zones facing the driver’s and
passenger’s doors,
- the zones forward of the door mirrors andrearward of the front doors.

The windscreen wipers operate automatically,
without an
y action on the par t of the driver,
if rain is detected (sensor behind the rear viewmirror), adapting their speed to the intensity of
the rainfall.

Visibility
Do not cover the rain sensor, linked with the sunshine sensor and located in the centre of the windscreen behind the rear view mirror. Switch off the automatic rain sensitivewipers when using an automatic car wash.
In winter, it is advisable to wait until the windscreen is completely clear of ice before activating the automatic rain sensitive wipers.

Operating fault
If a fault occurs with the automatic rain
sensitive wipers, the wipers will operate in intermittent mode.
Have it checked by PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Special position of the
w
indscreen wipers
This position permits release of the windscreen
wiper blades.
It is used for cleaning or replacement of the blades. It can also be useful, in winter, todetach the blades from the windscreen.


To maintain the effectiveness of the "flat-blade" type of wiper blades, it is advisable to:


- handle them with care,

- clean them regularly using soapywater,

- avoid using them to retain cardboard on the windscreen,

- replace them at the first signs of wear.

Any action on the wiper stalk in the minute
after switching off the ignition places the blades vertically on the screen.) To park the blades again, switch on
the ignition and operate the wiper stalk.

Safety








Ty r e u n d e r - i nfl ation detection System which automatically checks the pressure of the tyres while driving.

Sensors fitted in each valve trigger a warning in
the event of malfunction (speed above 12 mph (20 km/h)).
The spare wheel is not fitted with a sensor.


All repairs and changing of tyres on awheel fitted with this system must becarried out by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
If, when changing a tyre, you install awheel which is not detected by your vehicle (example: fitting of snow tyres), you must have the system reinitialised
by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualifiedworkshop.
This message is also displayed whenone of the wheels is away from thevehicle (being repaired) or when one or more wheels without a sensor are fitted.


The tyre under-inflation detectionsystem is an aid to driving which doesnot replace the need for the driver to bevigilant or to drive responsibly.

This system does not avoid the need to have the tyre pressures checked regularly(refer to "Identification markings") to ensure that the optimum dynamicperformance of the vehicle is maintainedand prevent premature wear of the tyres,particularly in arduous driving conditions (heavy load, high speed).
The tyre pressures must be checked cold, at least once a month. Remember to check the pressure of the spare wheel.
The tyre under-inflation detection system may experience temporary inter ference due to electromagnetic signals on a frequency close to that used by the system.
A message appears in the instrument panelscreen, accompanied by an audible signal,
to identify the wheel concerned.

Under-infl ated tyre
This warning lamp and
the STOPwarning lamp come on, accompanied by an audible signal and a message in theinstrument panel screen identifying the wheelconcerned. )Stop immediately, avoiding any sudden
movement of the steering wheel and the brakes.) Change the damaged wheel (punctured
or very deflated tyre), and have the tyre
pressure checked as soon as possible.

Puncture
A message appears in the instrument panel
screen, accompanied by an audible signal,
to identify the wheel or wheels which are not
detected or to indicate a fault in the system.Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualifiedworkshop to replace the faulty sensor(s).
Sensor(s) not detected or faulty
)Check the tyre pressures as soon aspossible.
This check must be carried out when the tyres are cold.
