12 V battery
Electrolyte level
For access to the battery, refer to the"12V bat tery" section.
The electrolyte level must bebetween the "LOWER LEVEL" and "UPPER LEVEL" marks.Refer to the servicin
g booklet for
details of the replacement inter vals
for these components.

g on the environment (e.g.
dusty atmosphere) and the use of the vehicle (e.g. city driving), replace them twice as often if necessary.y A clogged passenger compar tment filter mayhave an adverse effect on the performance
of the air conditioning system and generate undesirable odours.
Air filter and passenger compartment filter
Replace the oil filter each time the engine oil is changed.
Refer to the servicing booklet for
details of the replacement inter val for
this component.
Oil filter
If necessary, top up using distilled water,
removing the battery cap from each cell.
Check the electrolyte level at leastonce a month.
When carrying out work on the battery, refer
to "12V battery" section for details of the
precautions to be taken before disconnectingthe battery and following its reconnection.
Unless other wise indicated, check these components in accordance with the ser vicin
g booklet and according to your engine.Other wise, have them checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.

TIME AND DATE, LANGUAGE, UNIT, PICTURE SIZE
- Choose the size of the DVD picture for:

- normal 4/3,
E1
- extends the picture evenly to the right and
E2 to the left in wide screen mode,
- extends the right and left parts only leaving
E3 the centre as it stands in wide screen mode,
- enlarges the picture in 4/3 format. The top
E4 and the bottom are outside the frame.
- Choose the base settings of the system for:
D
- setting of the time by the RDS signal, time
D1 zone, summer time,
- the language (English, Français, Deutsch,
D2 Nederlands, Portuguese, Español, Svenska,
Italiano, Dansk),
- the units for calculation of the distances (km D3 or miles and °C or °F),
- other settings such as: D4
- the voice guidance volume,
- the type of voice guidance voice (female or male),
- the volume of the operation bleeps (1 to 3 and 0=no bleep),
- the type of keypad (alphabet or PC),
- the range of menu colours (red or blue),
- the display or not of the audio play icons in the map screen,
- the reinitialisation of the vehicle sensor,
- the interruption or not of the display when the air conditioning is used.
