General points
relating to child seats
Although one of PEUGEOT's main criteria
when designing your vehicle, the safety of your children also depends on you.
"Rearwards-facing"
PEUGEOT recommends that children should
travel in the rear seats
of your vehicle:


- "rearwards-facing"up to the age of 2,

-
"forwards-facing"
over the age of 2.
"Forwards-facing"

Intermediate longitudinalposition
For maximum safety, please observethe following recommendations: - in accordance with European regulations, all children under theage of 12 or less than one and a half metres tall must travel in approved child seats suited totheir weight
, on seats fitted with a seat belt or ISOFIX mountings *
, -statistically, the safest seats in your vehicle for carr yingchildren are the rear seats,- a child weighing less than 9 kgmust travel in the "rear wards-facing" position both in the frontand in the rear.

When a "rear wards-facing" child seat isinstalled on the front passenger seat
, it is essential that the passenger airbagis deactivated. Other wise, the child would risk being seriously injured or killed if the airbag were to inflate.

When a "forwards-facing" child seat is installed on the front passenger seat
, adjust the
vehicle's seat to the intermediate longitudinal
position with the seat back upri
ght and leave
the passenger airbag activated.

In accordance with European regulations, this table indicates the options for installing child seats secured using a seat belt and universally approved inaccordance with the weight of the child and the seat in the vehicle.

Towing the vehicle

Install the towing bar. )
Put the gear lever into neutral (position Nfor the 2 Tronic gearbox).
)Take the removable towing eye stowed in
the spare wheel, under the boot carpet.
)Unclip the plastic cover. )Fully screw in the towing eye.

General
recommendations
Observe the legislation in force in your country.Ensure that the weight of the towing vehicle is higher than that of the towedvehicle.The driver must stay at the wheel of thetowed vehicle. Driving on motorways and fast roads is prohibited when towing.When towing a vehicle with all four wheels on the ground, always use an approved towing bar; rope and strapsare prohibited.When towing a vehicle with the engine off, there is no longer any power assistance for braking or steering.In the following cases, you must always call on a professional recovery service:- vehicle broken down on a motor way
or fast road,- when it is not possible to put the gearbox into neutral, unlock thesteering, or release the parkingbrake,- towing with only two wheels on theground, - where there is no approved towingbar available...

Your vehicle can only be towed at the front.
Never use the radiator crossmember.
To w i ng with fours wheels on theroad must be carried out at very low speed over a very shor t distance (in accordance with the legislation in force).
In all other cases, your vehicle must betranspor ted on a trailer.

Failure to obser ve this instruction maylead to damage to cer tain components (braking, transmission, ...) and the absence of braking assistance when theengine is started.

Unlock the steering by turning the key to
the first position and release the parkingbrake. ) Switch on the hazard warning lamps onboth vehicles.

Fitting roof bars
Please refer to national legislation in order to comply with the regulations concerning the transportation of objects which are longer than the vehicle.
When
fitting transverse roof bars, use the
accessories recommended by PEUGEOT and
follow the manufacturer's fitting instructions. For more information, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop.
Maximum weight authorised on the bars,for a loading height not exceeding 40 cm (except bicycle carrier): 50 kg.If the height exceeds 40 cm, adapt the
speed of the vehicle to the profile of the
road to avoid damaging the roof bars.
