Names and Functions
The navigation system can be operated by pressing a button on the panel (panel button) or
selecting a button displayed on the screen (on-screen button).POWER/VOLUME dial: Turn the audio unit on/off by pressing the dial. The volume can be adjusted by turning the dial.
LOAD/EJECT button: Load and Eject CD. If the display is left in the lowered position for a certain period of time, a beep sound is heard and the
display closes automatically.
SOURCE button: Change the audio source.

nAudioPilot®2
AudioPilot®2 automatically adjusts audio volume and sound quality in accordance with the
level of noise entering the vehicle interior while driving. When AudioPilot®2 is turned ON, the
system automatically calculates the conditions for optimum hearing of sound which may be
difficult to hear depending on exterior noise.
Each time the on-screen button is selected, the AudioPilot
®2 turns on and off.

nCenterpoint®
Centerpoint® offers you the experience of 5.1 channel surround sound in your vehicle even
with your conventional 2 channel sound.
Each time the on-screen button is selected, the Centerpoint
® turns on and off.
on-screen button is highlighted when on-screen button is ON, and not
highlighted when OFF.
If any source invalid with on-screen button is selected, on-screen button
is displayed in gray and cannot be switched.

l Centerpoint® does not work with AM/FM/SIRIUS/AUX1.
l Centerpoint® operates only with a 2-channel stereo CD. Poor sound quality in the audio
signal playback could result from playing highly compressed audio such as MP3/WMA with
Centerpoint
® operating.

A2DP is a profile which transmits only audio to the Bluetooth unit. If your Bluetooth audio
device corresponds only to A2DP, but not AVRCP, you cannot operate it using the control
panel of the vehicle’s audio or navigation systems. In this case, the Bluetooth audio device
can be operated by controlling the device itself, the same as when a portable audio system
without the Bluetooth communication function is connected to the AUX terminal.

It may not be possible to play a Bluetooth audio device if it is placed anywhere transmission
is compromised, such as inside a metal container or the trunk. Move the Bluetooth audio
device to a location where transmission is possible.
l Battery consumption of Bluetooth audio devices is higher while Bluetooth-connected.
l If a non-Bluetooth device is to be used, a commercially-available Bluetooth adapter is
required. When playing an audio device with a Bluetooth adapter installed, pairing of the
audio device may not be possible or audio may not be heard from the vehicle speakers if
the connection of the adapter and the device is poor. If this happens, check if the Bluetooth
adapter is properly connected.
nBluetooth audio device pairing
Any Bluetooth audio device must be paired to the vehicle’s Bluetooth unit before it can be
listened to over the vehicle’s speakers.
A maximum of seven devices including Bluetooth audio devices and hands-free mobile
phones can be paired to one vehicle.

lAlways perform Bluetooth audio device pairing while the vehicle is stopped.
l If a Bluetooth device has already been paired to the vehicle as a hands-free mobile phone,
it does not need to be paired again when using the device as a Bluetooth audio device.
Conversely, it does not need to be paired again as a hands-free mobile phone if it has
already been paired as a Bluetooth audio device.
l The transmission range of a Bluetooth audio device is about 10 m (32 ft).
l Therefore, if there is another Bluetooth audio device within a 10 m (32 ft) radius of the
vehicle, the device may be identified and paired instead.
Concerning the operation of a Bluetooth audio device itself, refer to its instruction manual.
Some Bluetooth audio devices have PIN codes (four digits). Refer to the audio device’s
instruction manual because the pairing procedure differs depending on whether it has a PIN

When listening to the radio
Press up or press down the seek switch, the radio switches to the next/previous stored station
in the order that it was stored (1-8).
Press up or press down the seek switch for about 2 seconds until a beep sound is heard to
seek all usable stations at a higher or lower frequency whether programmed or not.
When listening to the satellite radio
Press the seek switch up or down, the radio switches to the next/previous stored station in the
order that it was stored (1-6).
Press the seek switch up or down for about 2 seconds until a beep sound is heard to seek all
usable stations at a higher or lower frequency, whether programmed or not.
When playing a CD
Press up the seek switch to skip to the next track.
Press down the seek switch to skip back to the beginning of the current track.
When playing an iPod
Press up the seek switch to skip to the next track.
Press down the seek switch to skip back to the beginning of the current track.
