When driving
■Changing the indicator setting
The satellite switch can be used to change the set speed at which the
yellow speed or tacho ind icator ring comes on.
The setting can be made only when the “ENGINE START STOP”
switch is in IGNITION ON mode and the vehicle is stopped.
Push “
” or “” to select the speed or tach o indicator set mode. ( ) Turn
the speed or tacho indi cator to “OFF” and then “ON” by pushing the
“ON/OFF” button. ( )
After one second, the mode enters
the indicator setting mode.
The speedometer or tachometer
needle moves to the previously set

Push “” or “” within 6 seconds of the speedometer or tachometer nee-
dle moving to change the setting of the desired speed, then turn the indi-
cator mode to “ON” by pushing the “ON/OFF” button.
Pushing and holding the button chan ges values at a faster rate.
If the satellite switch is not operated for some time, the multi-information dis-
play returns to its previously displayed content.
The yellow indicator is displayed to indicate that the desired speed has
been set.

Warning lights inform the driver of malfunctions in any of the vehi-

■Automatic light off system
●When the headlights come on: The headlights and tail lights turn off 30 seconds
after a door is opened and closed if the “ENGINE START STOP” switch has
been switched to ACCESSORY mode or turned OFF. (The light turns off
immediately if on the key is pressed after both side doors are locked.)
●When only the tail lights come on: The tail lights turn off automatically if the
“ENGINE START STOP” switch is switched to ACCESSORY mode or turned
OFF and driver’s door is opened.
To turn the lights on again, switch to IGNITION ON mode, or turn the light switch
off once and then back to or

■Automatic headlight leveling system (vehicles with discharge headlights)
The level of the headlights is automatica lly adjusted according to the number of
passengers and the loading condition of the vehicle to ensure that the headlights do
not interfere with other road users.

Settings (e.g. light sensor sensitivity) can be changed.

■Raindrop sensor (vehicles with the rain-sensing windshield wipers)
●If the wiper switch is turned to “AUTO” position while the “ENGINE START
STOP” switch is in IGNITION ON mode, the wiper will operate once to show
that auto mode is activated.
●If the temperature of the raindrop sensor is 194 F (90 C) or higher, or -22 F
(-30 C) or lower, automatic operation may not occur. In this case, operate
the wipers in any mode other than “AUTO”.
■Outside rear view mirror defogger activa tion linked to windshield wiper opera-
tion
The outside rear view mirror defogger au tomatically turns on when you operate the
windshield wipers.
■If no windshield washer fluid sprays
Check that the washer nozzles are not blocked if there is washer fluid in the wind-
shield washer fluid reservoir.
■Customization that can be configured at Lexus dealer
Settings (e.g. drip prevention function) can be changed.

CAUTION
■Caution regarding the use of windshield wipers in “AUTO” mode (vehicles with
the rain-sensing windshield wipers)
The windshield wipers may operate unexpect edly if the sensor is touched or the
windshield is subject to vibration in “AUTO” mode. Take care that your fingers or
anything else do not become caught in the windshield wipers.
●The sensor judges the amount of raindrops.

To change the set speed, operate the lever until the desired set
speed is displayed.
Increases the speed

Fine adjustment: Momentarily

Large adjustment: Hold the
lever in the desired direction.
In the vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode, the set speed will be
increased or decreased as follows:
• When the set speed is shown in “MPH” Fine adjustment: By approximately 5 mph (8 km/h) each time the lever
is operated
Large adjustment: By approximately 5 mph (8 km/h) for each 0.75
seconds the lever is held
• When the set speed is shown in “km/h” Fine adjustment: By approximately 3.1 mph (5 km/h) each time the
lever is operated
Large adjustment: By approximately 3.1 mph (5 km/h) for each 0.75
seconds the lever is held
In the constant speed control mode ( P. 206), the set speed will be
increased or decreased as follows:
Fine adjustment: By approximately 1 mph (1.6 km/h) each time the lever is
operated
Large adjustment: The set speed can be increased or decreased continu-
ally until the lever is released.

Selecting conventional constant speed control modeConstant speed control mode differs from vehicle-to-vehicle distance
control mode. When constant speed control mode is selected, your vehi-
cle will maintain a set speed regardless of whether or not there are other
vehicles in the lane ahead.
Press the “ON-OFF” button to
activate the cruise control.
Cruise control indicator will come
on.
Press the button again to deacti-
vate the cruise control.
Switch to constant speed con-
trol mode.
(Push the lever forward and
hold for approximately one sec-
ond.)
When in constant speed control
mode, to return to vehicle-to-vehi-
cle distance control mode, push

After the desired speed has been
set, it is not possible to return to
vehicle-to-vehicle distance control
mode.
If the “ENGINE START STOP”
switch is turned off and then turned
to IGNITION ON mode again, the
vehicle will automatically return to
vehicle-to-vehicle distance control
mode.
