PROGRAMMING TROUBLE-DIAGNO-

GUID-D075D2BD-E7C7-474E-83FC-B6F733CCAE46If HomeLink®does not quickly learn the
hand-held transmitter information:
. replace the hand-held transmitter bat-
teries with new batteries.
. position the hand-held transmitter with
its battery area facing away from the
HomeLink
®surface.
. push and hold both the HomeLink®and
hand-held transmitter buttons without
interruption.
. position the hand-held transmitter 2 to
5 in (50 to 127 mm) away from the
HomeLink
®surface. Hold the transmit-
ter in that position for up to 15
seconds. If HomeLink
®is not pro-
grammed within that time, try holding
the transmitter in another position -
keeping the indicator light in view at all
times.

CLEARING THE PROGRAMMED IN-
FORMATION

however to clear all programming, push
and hold the two outside buttons and
release when the indicator light begins to
flash (in approximately 20 seconds).
REPROGRAMMING A SINGLE
HomeLink®BUTTONGUID-F8D4C203-F653-4BE8-9078-5A51BCCE5405To reprogram a HomeLink®Universal
Transceiver button, complete the following.
1. Push and hold the desired HomeLink
®
button. Do notrelease the button until
step 4 has been completed.
2. When the indicator light begins to flash slowly (after 20 seconds), position the
hand-held transmitter 2 to 5 in (50 to
127 mm) away from the HomeLink
®
surface.
3. Push and hold the hand-held transmit- ter button.
4. The HomeLink
®indicator light will
flash, first slowly and then rapidly.
When the indicator light begins to flash
rapidly, release both buttons.
The HomeLink
®Universal Transceiver but-
ton has now been reprogrammed. The new device can be activated by pushing the
HomeLink
®button that was just pro-
grammed. This procedure will not affect
any other programmed HomeLink
®but-
tons.
IF YOUR VEHICLE IS STOLENGUID-5786CF0E-BD69-4511-B9FA-84F26F89F025If your vehicle is stolen, you should change
the codes of any non-rolling code device
that has been programmed into
HomeLink
®. Consult the Owner’s Manual
of each device or call the manufacturer or
retailer of those devices for additional
information.
When your vehicle is recovered, you will
need to reprogram the HomeLink
®Uni-
versal Transceiver with your new transmit-
ter information.

Select the “Slideshow Order” key. From
the following display, select “Random”
or “Order List”. For “Order List”, the
image order is the order of the files as
stored on the USB memory.

camera) is directly connected to the
vehicle using a USB cable, no image
will be displayed on the screen.
. If the file name is too long, some file

the file name exceeds 100 or if 1 file
name in a directory exceeds 100
characters, all files will show a shor-
tened 8-character version. The image
will still be displayed when selected.

the “R” (Reverse) position, the monitor
display shows view to the rear of the
vehicle.
The system is designed as an aid to the
driver in detecting large stationary objects
to help avoid damaging the vehicle. The
system will not detect small objects below
the bumper and may not detect objects
close to the bumper or on the ground.
WARNING
. The rearview monitor is a convenience
but it is not a substitute for proper
vehicle operation because it has areas
where objects cannot be viewed. Always
look out the windows and check mirrors
to be sure that it is safe to move before
operating the vehicle. Always operate
the vehicle slowly.
. Objects viewed in the RearView Monitor
differ from actual distance because a
wide-angle lens is used. Objects in the
RearView Monitor will appear visually
opposite like ones viewed in the inside
and outside mirrors.
. Make sure that the trunk is securely
closed when backing up.

Tint, Color, Contrast and Black Level of the
rearview monitor, push the SETTINGbutton
with the rearview monitor on, select the
“Display” key on the screen and select the
item key and adjust the level using the
INFINITI controller.
Do not adjust the Brightness, Tint, Color,
Contrast and Black Level of the rearview
monitor while the vehicle is moving. Make
sure the parking brake is firmly applied
and the engine is not running.
OPERATING TIPSGUID-C7806C41-88DD-4A7A-BEE4-AA3328E302E3. When the selector/shift lever is shifted
to the “R”(Reverse) position, the
monitor screen automatically changes
to the rearview monitor mode. How-
ever, the radio can be heard.
. It may take some time until the rearview
monitor is displayed after the selector/
shift lever has been shifted to “R”from
another position or to another position
from “R”. Objects may be distorted
momentarily until the rearview monitor
screen is displayed completely.
. When the temperature is extremely high
or low, the screen may not clearly
display objects. This is not a malfunc-
tion.
. When strong light directly enters the
camera, objects may not be displayed
clearly. This is not a malfunction.
. Vertical lines may be seen in objects on
the screen. This is due to strong
reflected light from the bumper. This
is not a malfunction.
. The screen may flicker under fluores-
cent light. This is not a malfunction.
. The colors of objects on the rearview
monitor may differ somewhat from
those of the actual object.

DISC (CD) PLAYER

The satellite radio mode requires an active
XM Satellite Radio subscription. The satel-
lite radio is not available in Alaska, Hawaii
and Guam.
It may take some time to receive the
activation signal after subscribing the XM Satellite Radio. After receiving the activa-
tion signal, an available channel list will be
automatically updated in the radio. For XM,
push the ignition switch from LOCK to ACC
to update the channel list.

and high frequency ranges automatically in
both radio reception and CD playback.
ON·OFF/Volume control:

position, and then push the ON·OFF button
while the system is off to turn on the last
audio source, which was playing immedi-
ately before the system was turned off.
While the system is on, pushing the

Adjusting tone quality and speaker bal-
ance:

entertainment system.
Movies will not be shown on the front
display while the vehicle is in any drive
position to reduce driver distraction. Audio
is available when a movie is played. To
view movies in the front display, stop the
vehicle in a safe location, move the
selector lever to the P (Park) position
(Automatic Transmission models) or apply
the parking brake (Manual Transmission
models).
WARNING
. The driver must not attempt to operate
the DVD system or wear the headphones
while the vehicle is in motion so that full
attention may be given to vehicle opera-
tion.
. Do not attempt to modify the system to
display a movie on the front screen while
the vehicle is being driven. Doing so may
distract the driver and may cause a
collision and serious personal injury or
death.
CAUTION
.Only operate the DVD while the vehicle
engine is running. Operating the DVD for
extended periods of time with the
engine OFF can discharge the vehicle
battery.
. Do not allow the system to get wet.
Excessive moisture such as spilled
liquids may cause the system to mal-
function.
. While playing VIDEO-CD media, this DVD

player does not guarantee complete
functionality of all VIDEO-CD formats.

select the “Display”key.
To adjust the display ON/OFF, brightness,
tint, color and contrast, select the “Display

INFINITI controller. After changes have
been made push the BACK button to save
the setting.

front seat occupants to operate the DVD
drive while watching the images.
Push the DISC·AUX button on the instru-
ment panel and turn the display to the DVD
mode.
When a DVD is loaded, it will be replayed
automatically.
The operation screen will be turned on
when the DISC·AUX button located on the
instrument panel is pushed while a DVD is
being played, and it will turn off auto- matically after a period of time. To turn it
on again, push the DISC·AUX button again.
DVD operation keys:

operation screen being shown, you may
use the touch screen to select items from
the displayed video. You may also use the
INFINITI controller to select an item from
the displayed video. When the operation

resume playing the DVD, use the “PLAY”
