FUEL FILLER CAP
Fuel lid opening depends on door lock/un-
lock: if the doors are locked (led on but-
ton ON), to refill the tank it is necessary
to press the button D-fig. 133(led on the
button OFF).
To fuel, open flap A-fig. 132and unscrew
cap C.
Cap Cis fitted with an anti-loss device B
which fastens it inside the filler so it can-
not be mislaid
The sealing of the tank may cause light
pressurising in the tank. A little breathing
off, while slackening the cap, is absolutely
normal.

Do not put naked flames or
lighted cigarettes near the
fuel filler hole as there is danger of
fire. Do not bend too close to the hole
either so as not to breathe in harmful
vapours.

In an emergency it is possible to open the
flap by pulling the cord A-fig. 134.
To reach the cord, remove the protective
cover.

Low engine oil pressure
When the ignition key is moved to MAR,
the warning light turns on and should go
out as soon as the engine is started.
The display will show the dedicated mes-
sage.

Exhausted oil
The warning light turns on and flashes
along with the message on the display
when the system detects that the engine
oil is exhausted.
After the first indication, at each engine
start-up, the warning light
vcontin-
ues to flash for about 60 seconds and then
every 2 hours until the oil is changed.“DUALDRIVE”
ELECTRIC POWER
STEERING FAILURE
(red)
When the ignition key is moved to MAR,
the warning light turns on and should go
off after a few seconds.
If the warning light stays on, the electric
steering system provides no assistance and
the effort on the steering wheel is in-
creased, although steering is still possible.
In this case, go to a Fiat Dealership.
The display will show the dedicated mes-
sage.

INCOMPLETE DOOR
LOCKING (red)
On certain versions the warn-
ing light turns on when one or
more doors or the tailgate are not prop-
erly closed.
The display will show the dedicated mes-
sage.
A buzzer is triggered when doors/tailgate
are open and the car is moving.

SEAT BELTS NOT
FASTENED (red)
(where provided)
The warning light on the display
lights up when the car is moving and the
driver’s seat belt is not correctly fastened.
The warning light flashes, and a buzzer is
triggered, if the driver’s seat belt is not
correctly fastened. The buzzer of the
S.B.R. (Seat Belt Reminder) system can be
disabled by the Fiat Dealership only. The
system can be enabled from the “setup”
menu.

OPENING/CLOSING
Emergency door locking device

The doors are fitted with a device which
makes it possible to close the doors with
the lock without power supply.
To close, proceed as follows:
❒insert the ignition key in the pawl B
❒turn the device to position 1and close
the ledge.To open, proceed as follows:❒insert the key in the pawl and turn it
clockwise
❒open the driver’s door
❒from the vehicle inside open the re-
maining doors by operating the levers
located in the handles.

If the battery is flat, it is possible to start
the engine using an auxiliary battery with
the same capacity or a little higher than
the flat one.
Proceed as follows:
❒Connect positive terminals (+) of the
two batteries with a jump lead;
❒With a second lead, connect the neg-
ative terminal (–) of the auxiliary bat-
tery and to an earthing point
Eon the
engine or the gearbox of the car to be
started;
❒Start the engine;
❒When the engine has been started, re-
move the leads reversing the order
above.
If after a few attempts the engine does not
start, do not insist but contact the near-
est Fiat Dealership.
