CHILD SAFETY : fitting a child seat (4/8)
X = Seat not suitable for fitting child seats.
U = Seat which allows a child seat with “Universal” approval to be installed using a seat belt; check that it can be fitted.
IUF = Seat which allows forward facing child seats with “Universal” approval to be attached by the ISOFIX device; check that it
can be fitted correctly.
IL = Seat which allows child seats with “Semi-universal” or “vehicle specific” approval to be attached by the ISOFIX device; check
that it can be fitted correctly.
(3) Only a rear-facing child seat can be fitted in this seat: raise the seat to the maximum and position it as far back as possible,
tilting the seatback slightly (approximately 25°).
(4) A carrycot can be installed across the vehicle and will take up at least two seats. Position the child with his or her feet nearest
the door.
(5) Move the front seat as far forward as possible to install a rear-facing child seat, then move back the seat in front as far as it will
go, although without allowing it to come into contact with the child sea\
t. Raise the headrest or remove it.
(6) Forward-facing child seat; position the seatback of the child seat in contact with the seatback of the vehicle seat. Adjust the
height of the headrest or remove it if necessary; do not push the seat in front of the child more than halfway back on its runners
and do not recline the seatback more than 25°.
Refer to the “Child safety equipment” booklet available from the network to choose the seat suited to your child and rec-
ommended for your vehicle.

RISK OF DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY: before fitting a rear-facing child
seat on the front passenger seat, check that the airbag has been deac-
tivated (please refer to the information on “Child safety: front passenger
airbag deactivation, activation” in Section 1).
Using a child safety system
which is not approved for
this vehicle will not correctly
protect the baby or child.
They risk serious or even fatal injury.
Child seat attached using the ISOFIX
fitting
ü Seat which allows an ISOFIX
child seat to be attached.
The rear seats are fitted with an
anchorage point which allows a for -
ward-facing ISOFIX child seat with uni-
versal approval to be attached. The
anchorage points are located on the
bench seat and are visible.
The size of the ISOFIX child seat is in-
dicated by a letter:
– A, B and B1: for forward-facing seats
in group 1 (9 to 18 kg);
– C: rear-facing seats in group 1 (9 to
18 kg);
– D and E: shell seat or rear-facing
seats in group 0 or 0+ (less than
13 kg);
– F and G: cots in group 0 (less than
10 kg).

Safety of rear occupants
The driver can prevent op -
eration of the rear elec -
tric windows by pressing
switch 4.
Driver’s responsibility
Never leave your vehicle with the
key inside and never leave a child
(or a pet) unsupervised, even for a
short while. They may pose a risk
to themselves or to others by start-
ing the engine, activating equipment
such as the electric windows or by
locking the doors. If a body part
gets trapped, reverse the direction
of travel of the window as soon as
possible by pressing the relevant
switch.

Electric windowsPress the window switch down or lift it
up to lower or raise the window to the
desired height. From the driver’s seat, use switch:
1 for the driver’s side;
2 for the front passenger side;
3 and 5 for the rear passengers.
From the passenger seats, use
switch 6.

Avoid resting any objects against
a half-open window: there is a risk
that the electric window could be
damaged.

REAR SEAT FUNCTIONS: second row (1/3)
Fixed rear bench seat
To fold down the seatback
– Bring the front seats forward;
– insert the rear seatbelt buckle in
housing 1;
– Lower door handle 2;
– lower the seatback onto the seat
base;
– adjust the front seats. To reposition the seatback
–
Raise the seatbacks;
– make sure you lock the seat back in
place.
When moving the rear
seats, check that the an -
choring points are clean
(they must be free from grit,
cloths, toys, etc.)
Check that the rear seat
belts are positioned and
operating correctly each
time the rear bench seat is
moved.
For safety reasons, carry
out any adjustments when
the vehicle is not being
driven.
