Deactivation
Onlythe passenger's front airbag can be deactivated:)with the ignition off, inser t the key in thefpassenger airbag deactivation switch, )turn it to the "OFF"position,)then, remove the key keeping the switch in
the new position.
Accordin
g to version, this warning lamp comes on either in the instrument panel
or in the seat belt and passenger's front
airbag warning lamp display when the
ignition is on and until the airbag is reactivated.
To assure the safety of your child,the passenger's front airbag mustbe deactivated when you install a "rear facing" child seat on the frontpassenger seat. Otherwise, the child would risk beingseriously injured or killed if the airbag were deployed.
If even one of the two airbag warning lamps comes on continuously, donot install a child seat on the frontpassenger seat.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or qualified workshop.



Reactivation

When you remove the child seat, with the
ignitionoff , turn the switch to the f"ON"
position to reactivate the airbag and so assure
the safety of your front passenger in the event
of an impact.
With the ignition on, this warninglamp comes on in the seat belt andpassenger's front airbag warninglamp display for approximately one minute, if the passenger's front
airbag is activated.


Operating fault

If this warning lamp comes on in theinstrument panel, accompanied by an
audible warning and a message in theinstrument panel screen, contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop to have
the system checked. The airbags may no longer
be deployed in the event of a serious impact.
If this warnin
g lamp flashes, contact
a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop. The passenger's front
airbag may no longer be deployed in
the event of a serious impact.

Repair procedure
)Switch off the ignition.
) Uncoil the white pipe G
fully.)
Unscrew the cap from the white pipe.)
Connect the white pipe to the valve of the
tyre to be repaired.

)Connect the compressor's electric plug to
the vehicle's 12 V socket. )Star t the vehicle and leave the engine running.
Take care, this product is harmful (e.g.ethylene-glycol, colophony...) if swallowed and causes irritation to the eyes.Keep this product out of the reach of children.
Avoid removing any foreign bodieswhich have penetrated into the tyre.

Tyre under-infl ation detection

The spare wheel is not fitted with a sensor. The punctured wheel must berepaired by a CITROËN dealer or a
qualified workshop.

When using lifting equipment (a jack
for example), take care to use the jacking points provided, so as to avoiddamaging the high voltage cables.
All of these tools are specific to your vehicle and can vary according to the level of equipment. Do not use them for other purposes. 1.

Removing a wheel

Parking the vehicle

Immobilise the vehicle where it does notblock traffic: the ground must be level, stable and not slippery. Apply the parking brake unless it has been programmed to automatic mode, switch off the ignition and engage firstgear *
to block the wheels. Check that the braking warning lamp and the Pwarning lamp in the parkingbrake control lever come on.
The occupants must get out of the vehicle and wait where they are safe.
Never go underneath a vehicle raised using a jack; use an axle stand.
)
Depending on equipment, remove the cover from from each of bolts using the tool 3
or removethe hub cap using tool 4.)
Fit the security socket 5
on the wheelbrace 1
to slacken the security bolt (if fitted).)
Slacken the other bolts (no more than a 1/4 turn) using the wheelbrace 1
only.

For H7 type bulbs with lugs... take care to observe their correct installation so asto ensure the best lighting performance.

In some weather conditions (e.g. low temperature or humidity), the presence of misting on the internal surface of the glass of the headlamps and rear lampsis normal; it disappears after the lamps have been on for a few minutes.


Risk of electrocution

Xenon bulbs (D1S-35W) must bereplaced by a CITROËN dealer or aqualified workshop.

12 V battery
The presence of this label indicatesthe use of a 12 V lead-acid battery withspecial technology and specification, for which the involvement of a CITROËN dealer or qualified workshop is requiredwhen replacing or disconnecting thebattery.
Failure to observe this recommendation may cause premature wear of thebattery. The battery is located under the bonnet.
To
gain access to it:)
open the bonnet using the interior releaselever, then the exterior safety catch, )
remove the plastic cover on the (+) terminal,
)
if necessary, unclip the fusebox to remove
the battery.

Do not apply excessive force on thetab as locking will not be possible if the clamp is not positioned correctly; star tthe procedure again.

our vehicle is fitted with a conventional 12 V
battery, located under the bonnet, in addition
to the hi
gh voltage battery used by the hybrid system.
In cer tain conditions, if the 12 V battery is
too discharged to activate the hybrid system, recharging from another conventional 12 V battery is possible.
Do not carry out this recharge if the Readylamp is on. Procedure
for star ting the engine using another battery or charging a discharged battery.



Disconnecting the (+) cable

After refitting the battery, the Stop &Start system will only be active after several hours depending on the climaticconditions and the state of charge of the battery (up to about 8 hours). When
your vehicle's battery is discharged, the engine can be star ted using a slave battery(external or on another vehicle) and jump leadcables.
Starting using another
battery


First check that the slave battery has a nominal voltage of 12 V and a capacity at least equal to that of the discharged battery. Do not try to star t the engine byconnecting a battery charger.
Do not disconnect the (+) terminal when the engine is running.
)Connect the red cable to the positive
terminal
(+) of the flat battery A , then to the positive terminal (+) of the slave battery B.)Connect one end of the green or blackcable to the negative terminal (-) of the slave battery B
(or ear th point on the other
vehicle).)Connect the other end of the green or black cable to the ear th point Con the broken
down vehicle (or on the engine mounting).)Star t the engine of the vehicle with the good
battery and leave it running for a few minutes.
) Operate the star ter on the broken down
vehicle and let the engine run
.
If the engine does not star t straight away, switch off the ignition and wait a few
moments before trying again.) Wait until the engine returns to idle then
disconnect the jump lead cables in the reverse order.
) Disconnect the battery from the vehicle.)
Follow the instructions for use provided by
the manufacturer of the charger. ) Connect the battery starting with the negative terminal (-).)
Check that the terminals and connectors
are clean. If they are covered with sulphate (whitish or greenish deposit), remove themand clean them.











Charging the battery using
a battery charger

Load reduction mode
System which manages the use of certainfunctions according to the level of charge
remaining in the battery.
When the vehicle is being driven, the load
reduction function temporarily deactivates cer tain functions, such as the air conditioning,
the heated rear screen...
The deactivated functions are reactivated
automatically as soon as conditions permit.
Do not attempt to charge the highvoltage battery.
The batteries contain harmful substancessuch as sulphuric acid and lead. They must be disposed of in accordancewith regulations and must not, in any circumstances, be discarded with household
waste.Take used remote control batteries and vehicle batteries to a special collection point.
It is advisable to disconnect the batteryif the vehicle is to be left unused for more than one month.
Do not reverse the polarity and use only
a 12 V charger.Do not disconnect the terminals while the engine is running. Do not charge the batteries withoutdisconnecting the terminals first.

Do not push the vehicle to star t the
engine if the vehicle is fitted with theelectronic gearbox.







Before disconnecting the battery

Wait 2 minutes after switching off the ignitionbefore disconnecting the battery.
Close the windows and the doors before
disconnecting the battery.

Following reconnection of thebattery

Following reconnection of the battery, switch on
the ignition and wait 1 minute before star ting to
permit initialisation of the electronic systems.However, if problems remain following this
operation, contact a CITROËN dealer or aqualified workshop.
