Daytime running lamps
Special daytime lighting so that the vehicle can
be seen more easily.
The daytime running lamps come on
automatically when starting the motor, if no
other lighting is on.
They cannot be deactivated.
With the main lighting control ring in the AUTOposition, the sidelamps and dipped beam headlamps come on automatically, without any action by the
driver, when a low level of ambient light is detected.
When the light returns to a sufficient level or the wipers are switched off, the lighting is switched off automatically.
The sensor is located at the base of the windscreen.
Automatic illumination of headlamps
Automatic lighting off
When the lighting stalk is in the "AUTO"position, if the ignition switch is in the "LOCK"
or "ACC" position or if the key has beenremoved, the lighting switches off automaticallywhen the driver's door is opened.
The initial setting is position "0".
Headlamp
adjustment
To avoid causing a nuisance to other road
users, the height of the halogen headlamps should be adjusted according to the load in the
vehicle.
0. Driver only or driver + 1 front passenger.
1 or 2. 4 people (including the driver). 3.4 people (including the driver) + maximumauthorised load.4.Driver + maximum authorised load.
Although these lamps are located in the same unit as the front foglamp, theyoperate with a specific bulb.
Their use is covered by road vehiclelighting regulations.
In foggy weather or in snow, thesunshine sensor may detect sufficient light. The lighting will not come onautomatically. Do not cover the sunshine sensor, theassociated functions will no longer becontrolled.

1.Direction indicators(W21W - 21 W).2.Sidelamps (W5W - 5 W).3.Main beam headlamps (HB3 - 60 W).4.Dipped beam headlamps (H11 - 55 W).
The headlamps are fitted with polycarbonate glass with a protectivecoating: )do not clean them using a dry or abrasive cloth, nor with a detergent or solvent product, )
use a sponge and soapy water, )
when using a high pressure washer on persistent marks, do not keep the lance directed towards thelamps or their edges for too long, so as not to damage their protectivecoating and seals, )
do not touch the bulb directly withyour fingers, use lint-free cloths.
Changing a bulb should only be done after the headlamp has been switchedoff for a few minutes (risk of serious burns).
It is imperative to use only anti-ultraviolet (UV) type bulbs in order notto damage the headlamp. Always replace a failed bulb with anew bulb with the same type andspecification.
