Mirror Adjustment
Exterior Mirrors
Vehicles with outside power mirrors
and foldaway mirrors have controls
on the driver door.
1. Press (A) or (B) to select thedriver or passenger side mirror.
2. Press the arrows on the control pad to move the mirror up,
down, right, or left.
3. Press the opposite side to get the control pad to a neutral
position. Power Foldaway Mirrors
To fold the mirrors:
1. Press (C) to fold the mirrors out
to the driving position.
2. Press (D) to fold the mirrors in to the folded position.

Interior Mirror
The automatic dimming rearview
mirror reduces the glare of lights
from behind the vehicle. The
dimming feature comes on and the
indicator light illuminates each time
the vehicle is started.
O:Press to turn the dimming
feature on or off.

Steering Wheel
Adjustment
Push the control up or down to tilt
the steering wheel up or down.

Reading Lamps
For vehicles with reading lamps in
the overhead console, press the
button located next to the lamp to
turn it on or off.
The vehicle may also have reading
lamps in other locations. The lamps
cannot be adjusted.

Exterior Lighting
The exterior lamps control is located
on the instrument panel to the left of
the steering wheel.
P:Turns off the automatic
headlamps and Daytime Running
Lamps (DRL). Turning the headlamp
control to the off position again will
turn the automatic headlamps and
DRL back on.
For vehicles first sold in Canada,
the off position only works when the
vehicle is shifted into the P (Park)
position. AUTO:
Automatically turns on the
headlamps at normal brightness,
along with the parking lamps,
instrument panel lights, license plate
lamps, and taillamps.
;: Turns on the parking lamps,

5: Turns on the headlamps,
parking lamps, instrument panel
lights, license plate lamps, and
taillamps.

Automatic Dimming
Mirror
The vehicle has an automatic
dimming mirror. The driver outside
mirror automatically adjusts for the
glare of headlamps behind you. This
feature is controlled by the on and
off setting on the inside rearview
mirror. See Automatic Dimming
Rearview Mirror on page 2‑18 for
more information.
Park Tilt Mirrors
If the vehicle has the memory
package, the passenger and/or
driver mirror tilts to a preselected
position when the vehicle is in
R (Reverse). This feature lets the
driver view the curb when parallel
parking. The mirror(s) return to the
original position when the vehicle
is shifted out of R (Reverse), or the ignition is turned off or to
OFF/LOCK.
Turn this feature on or off through
the Driver Information Center (DIC).

Automatic Dimming
Rearview Mirror
Automatic dimming reduces the

vehicle. The dimming feature comes
on and the indicator light illuminates

The exterior lamps control is located
on the instrument panel to the left of
the steering wheel.
It controls the following systems:
.Headlamps
.Taillamps
.Parking Lamps

Fog Lamps
For vehicles with fog lamps, they
can be used for better vision in
foggy or misty conditions. The
parking lamps and/or low-beam
headlamps must be on for the fog
lamps to work.
The fog lamp button is located on
the left side of the instrument panel.
#(Fog Lamps):Press to turn the
fog lamps on or off. An indicator
light comes on in the instrument
panel cluster to show that the fog
lamps are on. Remember, fog lamps alone will
not give off as much light as the
headlamps. Never use the fog
lamps in the dark without turning on
the headlamps.
The fog lamps will go off whenever
the high-beam headlamps come on.
When the high beams go off, the fog
lamps will come on again.
The fog lamps will be cancelled
after the ignition is turned off. To use
the fog lamps after restarting the
vehicle, press the fog lamp button
again.
Some localities have laws that
require the headlamps to be on
along with the fog lamps.

Illumination Control
D(Instrument Panel
Brightness): This feature controls
the brightness of the instrument
panel lights and is located next to
the exterior lamps control.
Push the knob to extend out and
then it can be turned.
Turn the knob clockwise or
counterclockwise to brighten or dim
the instrument panel lights. Turning
the knob to the farthest clockwise
position turns on the dome lamps.

Dome Lamps
The dome lamps are located in the
overhead console.
They come on when any door is
opened and turn off after all the
doors are closed.
Turn the instrument panel
brightness knob located below
the dome lamp override button,
clockwise to the farthest position to
manually turn on the dome lamps.
The dome lamps remain on until the
knob is turned counterclockwise.
Dome Lamp Override
The dome lamp override button is
located next to the exterior lamps
control.
k(Dome Off):Press the button
in and the dome lamps remain off
when a door is opened. Press the
button again to return it to the
extended position so that the dome
lamps come on when a door is
opened.
Reading Lamps
For vehicles with front reading
lamps in the overhead console,
press the button located next to the
lamp to turn it on or off.
The vehicle may also have reading
lamps in other locations. The lamps
cannot be adjusted.
Lighting Features
Entry Lighting
The vehicle has an illuminated entry
feature.
When the doors are opened, the
dome lamps will come on if the
dome override button is in the
extended position. If the dome
override button is pressed in, the
lamps will not come on.
Exit Lighting
The interior lamps come on when
the key is removed from the ignition.
They turn off automatically in
20 seconds. The lights do not come
on if the dome override button is
pressed in.
