andmakesureothersdo,too.Accidentsta­
tisticsshowthatvehicleoccupantsproperly
wearing
safetybeltshave alower riskofbeing
injured
andamuchbetterchanceofsurviving
anaccident. Properlyusingsafetybeltsalso
greatlyincreasestheabilityofthesupplemen­
talairbagstodotheirjobinacollision. For
this
reason,wearingasafetybeltis legally re­
quired
inmostcountriesincludingmuchof
theUnitedStatesandCanada.
Although
yourAudiisequippedwithairbags,
you still have
towearthesafetybeltsprovid­
ed. Front
airbags,forexample,areactivated
onlyinsomefrontalcollisions. Thefrontair­
bagsarenotactivatedinallfrontalcollisions,
insideandrearcollisions,inrolloversorin
caseswherethereisnotenoughdeceleration
throughimpacttothefrontofthevehicle.
