Remote control problem
Following disconnection of the vehicle battery,replacement of the remote control battery or in the event of a remote control malfunction, you can no longer unlock, lock or locate your
vehicle. ) First of all, use the key in the lock to unlock
or lock your vehicle. ) Then, reinitialise the remote control.
If the problem persists, contact a CITROËN
dealer as soon as possible.
Changing the battery
Battery ref.: CR1620 / 3 volts. Reinitialisation
)
Switch off the ignition. )
Turn the key to position 2 (Ignition on). )
Press the closed padlock immediately for afew seconds. )
Switch off the ignition and remove the key from the ignition switch.
The remote control is fully operational again. I
f the battery is flat, you are
informed by illumination of
this warnin
g lamp, an audible
signal and a message in the
multifunction screen.

Unclip the casing using a coin at the notch. )
Slide the flat battery out of its location. )
Slide the new battery into its location
observing the original direction. ) Clip the casing. )
Reinitialise the remote control.
Do not attach any heavy objects to the key as this could weigh down on it whenin the ignition switch and cause a fault.
If the key is left in the ignition switch, anaudible signal sounds when the driver's door is opened.

In an emergency, press this button for more than2 seconds. Flashing of the green LED and a voice message confi rm that the call has been made to the CITROËN Emergency service * . gg
Pressing this button again immediately cancels the request. The green LED goes off.
A press
(at any time) of more than 8 seconds on this button, cancels the
request.
CITROËN LOCALISED ASSISTANCE CALL
When the ignition is switched on, thegreen LED comes on for 3 seconds
indicating that the system is operating correctly.

f the orange LED fl ashes: there is asystem fault.
I
f the orange LED is on continuously: the
backup battery must be replaced.
In either case, contact a CITROÀN
dealer. Pressin
g this button again immediately cancels the request.
The cancellation is confi rmed b
y a voice message.
Press this button for more than 2 seconds to request
assistance if the vehicle breaks down.
A voice message confi rms that the call has been made *

OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM
The green LED remains on (without fl ashing) when communication is established. It goes off at the end of communication.
This call is dealt with b
y the CITROËN Emergency team which receiveslocating information from the vehicle and can send a detailed alert to theappropriate emergency services. In countries in which the team is not
operational, or when the locating service has been expressly declined,
the call is dealt with directl
y by the emergency services (11 2) without the
vehicle location.
If an impact is detected b
y the airbag control unit, and
independently of the deployment of any airbags, an emergency callis made automatically.
