NOTESProcessing priority in the event of a number of faults:
Deal with fault DF011 Sensor supply voltage no. 1 first if it is present or stored.
Conditions for applying the fault finding procedure to a stored fault:
The fault is declared present after the ignition has been switched on for at least
10 seconds.
If the fault is present:
The air temperature has a default value, which is PR059 Inlet air temperature =
40°C.
Illumination of OBD fault warning light on the instrument panel.
Special notes:
The inlet air temperature sensor is integrated into the air flowmeter.
Use CLIO III, MODUS, MEGANE II ph2, SCENIC II ph2 and KANGOO II Wiring
diagrams Technical Note.
Check the connection and condition of the connector for the flowmeter, component code799 (see MR 392, 364,
370 and 417, Mechanical, 12A, Fuel mixture, Air flowmeter: Removal - Refitting).
If the connector is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector, otherwise replace the wiring.
Check the connection and condition of the injection computer connector, component code 120 (see MR 392,
385, 364, 370 and 417, Mechanical, 13B, Diesel injection, Diesel injection computer: Removal - Refitting).
If the connector is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector, otherwise replace the wiring.
Measure the resistance of the air temperature sensor between connections 3ABQ and 3DW of the air
flowmeter component code 799.
If the resistance measured is not:
3553Ω
flowmeter: Removal - Refitting)
Check the insulation, continuity and the absence of interference resistance on the following connections:
–3ABQ
, between components799 and 120,
–3DW between components 799 and 120.
If the connection(s) are faulty and there is a repair method (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
If the fault is still present, contact the Techline.
AFTER REPAIRDeal with any faults displayed by the diagnostic tool.
Clear the computer fault memory.
Carry out a road test followed by another check with the diagnostic tool.

Conditions for applying the fault finding procedure to a stored fault:
Apply the fault finding procedure below, whether the fault is present or stored.

Check the connection and condition of the connector for the refrigerant fluid pressure sensor, component
code1202 (see MR 392, 385, 364, 370 and 417, Mechanical, 62A, Air conditioning, Pressure sensor:
Removal - Refitting).
If the connector is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector, otherwise replace the wiring.
Check the connection and condition of the injection computer connector, component code 120 (see MR 392,
385, 364, 370 and 417, Mechanical, 13B, Diesel injection, Diesel injection computer: Removal - Refitting).
If the connector is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector, otherwise replace the wiring.
With the ignition on, check for the presence of + 5 V on connection 38Y and an earth on connection38U of the
refrigerant fluid pressure sensor.
If the connection(s) are faulty and there is a repair method (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
Check the insulation, continuity and the absence of interference resistance on the following connections:
–38Y between components1202 and 120,
–38X between components1202 and 120,
–38U between components1202 and 120.
If the connection(s) are faulty and there is a repair method (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
If the fault is still present, replace the
refrigerant fluid sensor (see MR 392, 385, 364, 370 and 417, Mechanical,
62A, Air conditioning, Pressure sensor: Removal - Refitting).
AFTER REPAIRDeal with any faults displayed by the diagnostic tool.
Clear the computer fault memory.
Carry out a road test followed by another check with the diagnostic tool.

Apply test 3 High pressure fuel pressure solenoid valve check.
Apply test 4 Check high-pressure pump (HPP) and fuel flow solenoid valve.

If the fault is present:
Loss of performance with smoke from the exhaust.

Check the connection and condition of the flowmeter connector, component code 799 (see MR 392, 364, 370

If the connector is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector, otherwise replace the wiring.
Check the connection and condition of the injection computer connector, component code 120 (see MR 392,

If the connector is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector, otherwise replace the wiring.
With the ignition on, check for + 12 V on connection 3FB (or 3FB3 for Kangoo II), + 5 V on connection 3KJ and
earth on connection 3DW of the air flowmeter, component code 799.
Check the insulation, continuity and the absence of interference resistance on the following connections:
–3ABQ between components799 and 120,
–3DV between components 799 and 120,
–3DW between components 799 and 120.
If the connection(s) are faulty and there is a repair method (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair),
repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
With the flow sensor connected, the vehicle ignition on and the engine stopped:
Measure the voltage between connections 3DV and 3DW of the air flowmeter, component code 799.
If the voltage is not between 0.3 V and 0.7 V, replace the air flowmeter (see MR 392, 364, 370 and 417,
Mechanical, 12A, Fuel mixture, Air flowmeter: Removal - Refitting).
If the fault is still present, contact the Techline.

NOTESConditions for applying the fault finding procedure to a stored fault:
The fault is declared present after a series of actions on the clutch pedal during a
road test (speed greater than 54 mph (90 km/h)).
If the fault is present:
Engine bucking or high engine speed.
Use CLIO III, MODUS, MEGANE II ph2, SCENIC II ph2 and KANGOO II Wiring
diagrams Technical Note.
Check the connection and condition of the clutch switch connector, component code 675 (see MR 392, 385,
364, 370 and 417, Mechanical, 37A, Mechanical component controls, Clutch pedal position sensor:
Removal - Refitting) and the injection computer connector, component code 120 (see MR 392, 385, 364, 370
and 417, Mechanical, 13B, Diesel injection, Diesel injection computer: Removal - Refitting).
If the connectors are faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair) repair the connector(s); otherwise, replace the wiring.
With the ignition on, check the + 5 V clutch switch signal on connection86D and earth on connectionM (or
NAM for Kangoo II).
If correct:
Check the conformity and adjustment of the clutch switch (position, connection).
– display status ET121 Clutch contact signal:
– when the clutch pedal is engaged, status ET121 should be INACTIVE,
– when the clutch pedal is disengaged, status ET121 should be ACTIVE.
If these checks are not correct, replace the clutch switch (see MR 392, 385, 364, 370 and 417, Mechanical,
37A, Mechanical component controls, Clutch pedal position sensor: Removal - Refitting).
If the supply to the switch is incorrect:
Check the insulation, continuity and the absence of interference resistance on the following connections:
–86D between components 675 and 120,
–M (or NAM for Kangoo II) between components 675 and 120.
If the connection(s) are faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
If the fault is still present, contact the Techline.

Check that the camshaft sensor is correctly positioned and mounted.
Check the connection and condition of the camshaft sensor connector, component code 746 (see MR 417,

computer connector, component code 120 (see MR 392, 385, 364, 370 and 417, Mechanical, 13B, Diesel
injection, Diesel injection computer: Removal - Refitting).
If the connectors are faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair) repair the connector(s); otherwise, replace the wiring.
With the ignition on, check the + 12 V after ignition supply of the camshaft sensor on connection 3FB (or 3FB3
for Kangoo II and earth on connection 3FJ.
If the connection(s) are faulty and there is a repair method (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
Check the insulation, continuity and the absence of interference resistance on the following connections:
–3FB (or 3FB3 for Kangoo II) between components 746 and 983 (or 1337 for Kangoo II),
–3FJ between components 746 and 120,
–3CQ between components 746 and 120.
If the connection(s) are faulty and there is a repair method (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
If these checks are correct, replace the camshaft sensor (see MR 417, Mechanical, 13B, Diesel injection,
Camshaft position sensor: Removal - Refitting).

Check the entire air supply system and that the pipes from the filter to the inlet manifold are correctly fitted.
Check the connection and condition of the air flowmeter connector, component code 799 (see MR 392, 364, 370

If the connector is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
