Instrum ent illumination,
info rmation display illumination

In high amb ient light conditions, the auto
lighting turns on the illumination with fixe d
intensity to indicate that the e xte rior lamps
are on.
In most other lighting conditions,
brightness can be adjusted when the
ignition is on by turning a djuster w he el up
or down.
W hen the light switch is turne d to
pos itionX, ins trument pane l backlighting
goe s out and the drive r information centre
is illum inate d at its ma ximum brightnes s .
Courtesy lamps
Automatically sw itc h on whe n the d oors
are unlocke d with the remote control, w he n
a door is opened or when the key is
re move d from the ignition switch.
Courte s y lamp s s witch off approx.
20 seconds after c losing the doors and
i m m ed i a t el y w h en t h e i g ni t i o n i s sw it ch e d
on or afte r locking the doors with the
re m o t e c o nt r o l .
R eading lamps
Re ading lamp s on the left and right are
individually op erable .
Press b utton on underside of inte rior mirror
o n re lev an t s ide to switch o n re adin g lam p.
Button ex te nds.
Pres s button again to sw itc h off re ading
lamp . Button retracts.

Six -disc CD play er 3
In vehicle s with a s ix-dis c CD playe r, se t the
time and date as follow s:
Turn ignition key to ACC or RUN.
Pr e ss t h e X e kn ob.
The Infotainm ent system switches on.
Pr e ss t h e MEN U 4 button until the
se t-up menu is dis playe d.
The clock option labe l appe ars on the
display .
Pre ss the appropriate button 6
loca ted b elow the clock option labe l.
The HR, MIN, MM, DD, YY YY
(hour, minute, month, day and year)
labels appe ar on the display .
Pre ss the appropriate button 6
loca ted b elow the label that you wish
to chang e.
Pre ss the sam e b utton 6 a gain to
incre ase the time/date.
The value selected increa ses by one
(hour/m inute/month/day /year) every
tim e the sa me button 6 is p r e s s e d
again.zT h e va l u e s e le ct ed ca n a l s o be
change d using the SE EK wf,
SE EKq g, FW Dc and REV d
buttons a nd the
K8 tune knob,
as follows:
Press the SEEKwf button or the
FWD c button.

Press the ME NU 4 button follow ed by
the button 6 locate d be low the clock
option labe l, with the I nfotainme nt
system on.
The date appea rs .
zAfter a few sec onds, the d isplay reverts
bac k to the normal ra dio and time
dis play.C ha nging de fault time and date s e ttings
The default time and date settings can
be changed from a 1 2 hour c lock to a
24 hour clock and from the date format
MM/DD/YYYY (month/day/year) to
DD/MM/YYYY (day/month/year).
C ha nge the default time or date se tting s
as follows:
Press the C 1 clock button
(single-d isc C D play er)

Press the ME NU 4 b utton
(six-d is c C D play er 3).
Pre s s the appropriate button 6
located b elow the forward arrow labe l
on the display.
The 12H , 24H , MM/DD/YYYY and
DD/MM/ YY YY labe ls a ppear on the
disp lay.
Pre s s the appropriate button 6
located below the labe l tha t you wis h
to se lect.
Press the C 1 clock button or the
MEN U 4 button to apply the
se lection.
The s ele ction is ap plied.
zAlte rnatively , allow the scre en to
time out a nd the s ele ction made will
bec om e the default time /da te setting.

Fuel fille r neck at left re ar s ide of v ehicle.
Ope n the tank flap .
The fuel filler cap is locke d and unlocked
us ing the key provided . Turn key in lock
cylinder c lock wise to unloc k cap.
Uns cre w the fuel fille r cap b y turning it
anti-clock wise , and re move .
The fuel tank has a limiting sy ste m which
preve nts ov erfilling of the tank.C orre ct filling de pends to a large exte nt on
proper operation of the fuel disp ensing
pump:
1 . Fully ins ert the pump nozzle and s witch
it on.
2. At autom atic switch off, the specifie d
tank capacity is reache d. Le ave the fille r
nozz le in plac e until the flow s tops.
Place fuel filler c ap in pos ition and turn it
clockw ise until tight and turn ke y in lock
cy linde r anti-clockwis e to lock cap.
C los e tank flap.
W ipe off any ov erflowing fue l imme diately .

fuel or just in its vicinity. Do not smoke.
This a ls o applies where fuel is pe rceptible
only from its c harac te ristic od our. If fue l
od ours occur in the vehicle its elf, ha ve the
cause eliminate d imm ediate ly by a
work shop.
