Resetting
Reset the tilt/sliding sunroof if it does not
open smoothly, or if the battery has been
disconnected or has become discharged.
! Contact a qualified specialist workshop if
the tilt/sliding sunroof cannot be closed
fully or reset.
XRemove the SmartKey from the ignition
lock or turn to position 0 (KEYLESS-GO).XRemove the fuse for the tilt/sliding sunroof
from the main fuse box. To find out where
the fuse is located, refer to the fuse
allocation chart in the vehicle tool kit
( Y page 294).XReinsert the fuse.XSwitch on the ignition.XRaise the tilt/sliding sunroof fully at the
rear ( Y page 92).XKeep the 2 switch pressed for another
second.XMake sure that the tilt/sliding sunroof can
be opened or closed fully again using the
opening/closing process ( Y page 92).XIf the tilt/sliding sunroof can be raised fully
at the rear it is set correctly. If this is not
the case, you must repeat the previously

The panorama roof with power tilt/sliding
panel can only be moved when the roller
sunblinds are open.
XTurn the key to position 2 in the ignition
lock.XPush or pull the 2 switch in the
corresponding direction.
i When opening the panorama roof with
power tilt/sliding panel, you can initiate the
automatic opening process. To do so, press
the 2 switch briefly beyond the point of
resistance in the direction of arrow ;. By
pressing again, the automatic opening
process can be stopped.
Automatic raising is only available if the
panorama sliding sunroof is in the closed
position.

panorama sliding sunroof
General notes
The roller sunblinds provide protection from
the sun. The two roller sunblinds can only be
opened and closed together when the

When extending the roller sunblinds, make
sure no one is in danger of being injured by
the extending procedure. The extending of the
roller sunblinds can be immediately halted by
releasing the switch.

panel cannot be closed or adjusted,

e.g. a Mercedes-Benz Service Center.XRemove the SmartKey from the ignition
lock or turn to position 0 (KEYLESS-GO).XRemove the fuse for the panorama roof
with power tilt/sliding panel from the fuse

The fuses are located in various fuse boxes:
R fuse box on the front-passenger side of the
dashboard
R fuse box in the engine compartment on the
right-hand side of the vehicle, when viewed
in the direction of travel
R fuse box in the stowage well under the
trunk floor
The fuse allocation chart is located in the
vehicle tool kit ( Y page 294) in the stowage
compartment under the trunk floor.
Fuse box in the cockpit
! Do not use a pointed object such as a
screwdriver to open the cover in the
dashboard. You could damage the
dashboard or the cover.
XTo open: pull cover : upwards in the
direction of the arrow and remove it.XTo close: clip in cover : on top of the
dashboard.XFold cover : inwards until it engages.
Fuse box in the engine compartment
XOpen the hood ( Y page 278).XRemove any existing moisture from the
fuse box using a dry cloth.XTo open: open clamp :.XFold up cover ; and remove it.XTo close: check whether the rubber seal is
lying correctly in cover ;.XInsert cover ; at the front of the fuse box
into the retainer.XFold down cover ; and close clamp :.

The cover must be seated properly,
otherwise moisture or dirt could impair the
function of the fuses.
XClose the hood ( Y page 279).

XOpen the tailgate.XTo open: open the trunk floor and secure
