EXTERIOR MIRRORS
Power side view mirrors
WARNING:Do not adjust the mirror while the vehicle is in
motion.
To adjust your mirrors:
1. Rotate the control clockwise to
adjust the right mirror and rotate
the control counterclockwise to
adjust the left mirror.
2. Move the control in the direction
you wish to tilt the mirror.
3. Return to the center position to lock mirrors in place.
Memory feature
The power side view mirror positions are saved when doing a memory
set and can be recalled using the memory feature. Refer toMemory seat
and mirrorsin theSeating and Safety Restraintschapter.
Automatic dimming feature
The driver’s side view mirror has an auto-dimming function. For more
information, refer toAutomatic dimming interior rear view mirrorin
this chapter.
Heated mirrors
Both mirrors are heated automatically to remove ice, mist and fog when
the rear window defrost is activated.
Note:With the auto dimming feature, the mirror glass is thicker and will
take longer to defrost.
Do not remove ice from the mirrors with a scraper or attempt to
readjust the mirror glass if it is frozen in place. These actions
could cause damage to the glass and mirrors.
Blind spot mirrors (if equipped)
Your vehicle may be equipped with blind spot mirrors or a blind spot
information system. Refer toBlind spot mirrorsorBlind spot
information system (BLIS) with cross traffic alert (CTA)in the
Drivingchapter.

Opening the trunk
Presstwice within three seconds to open the trunk.
•Ensure that the trunk is closed and latched before driving your
vehicle. Failure to properly latch the trunk may cause objects to fall
out or block the driver’s rear view.
Memory feature
The Integrated Keyhead Transmitter allows you to recall the memory
seat and mirrors feature.
Press
to automatically move the seat and mirrors to the desired
memory position.Note:The seat will not travel to its final position if the
key is not in the ignition and the easy entry feature is enabled.
Activating the memory feature
To activate this feature:
1. Position the seat and mirrors to the desired positions.
2. Press and hold either the 1 or 2
control on the driver’s door for five
seconds. (A tone will be heard after

12seconds when the memory store
is done) continue to hold until a
second tone is heard after five
seconds.
3. Within three seconds press
the
on the transmitter.
4. A tone will be heard when the
activation is complete.
5. Repeat this procedure for another transmitter if desired.
Deactivating the memory feature
To deactivate this feature:

•The battery saver will shut off the headlamps 10 minutes after the
ignition has been turned to the off position.
SECURICODE™ KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM
You can use the keyless entry
keypad to:
•lock or unlock the doors without
using a key.
•open the trunk.
•recall memory seat/power mirrors positions (if equipped).
The keypad can be operated with the factory set 5–digit entry code; this
code is located on the owner’s wallet card in the glove box and is
available from your authorized dealer. You can also create up to three of
your own 5–digit personal entry codes.
When pressing the controls on the keypad, press the middle of the
controls to ensure a good activation.
Programming a personal entry code and keypad association to
memory feature
To create your own personal entry code:
1. Enter the factory set code.
2. Within five seconds press the 1•2 on the keypad.
3. Enter your personal 5-digit code. Each number must be entered
within five seconds of each other.
4. For memory recall feature, enter the sixth digit 1•2 to store driver 1
settings or 3•4 to store driver 2 settings.
Note:Pressing 5•6, 7•8, or 9•0 keypad numbers as a sixth digit
will not recall a driver memory setting.
Note:The factory-set code cannot be associated with a memory setting.
5. The doors will lock then unlock to confirm that your personal entry
code has been programmed to the module.
Tips:
•Do not set a code that uses five of the same number.
•Do not use five numbers in sequential order.
•The factory set code will work even if you have set your own personal
code.

Power recline
Press the control to recline the
seatback forward or rearward.
Using the power lumbar support
The power lumbar control is located on the outboard side of the seat.
Press one side of the control to
adjust firmness.
Press the other side of the control
to adjust softness.
Memory seat and mirrors
This system allows automatic
positioning of the driver seat and
mirrors to two programmable
positions.
The memory seat control is located
on the driver door.
•To program position 1, move the
driver seat, mirrors to the desired
position using the associated
controls. Press and hold button 1
for at least two seconds. A chime will sound confirming that a memory
position has been set.
•To program position 2, repeat the previous procedure using button 2.
A memory seat position may be programmed at any time.
To program the memory feature to a remote entry transmitter, refer to
Remote entry systemin theLocks and Securitychapter.

A programmed memory position can be recalled:
•in any gearshift position if the ignition isnoton.
•only in P (Park) or N (Neutral) if the ignition is on.
A memory seat position may be programmed at any time.
The memory positions are also recalled when you press your remote
entry transmitter
button (if the transmitter is programmed to a
memory position) or, when you enter a valid personal entry code that is
programmed to a memory position. The mirrors will move to the
programmed position and the seat will move to the easy entry position.
The seat will move to the final position when the key is in the ignition (if
easy entry feature is enabled).
Heated and cooled seats
Heated seats
WARNING:Persons who are unable to feel pain to the skin
because of advanced age, chronic illness, diabetes, spinal cord
injury, medication, alcohol use, exhaustion, or other physical
conditions, must exercise care when using the seat heater. The seat
heater may cause burns even at low temperatures, especially if used
for long periods of time. Do not place anything on the seat that
insulates against heat, such as a blanket or cushion, because this may
cause the seat heater to overheat. Do not puncture the seat with pins,
needles, or other pointed objects because this may damage the heating
element which may cause the seat heater to overheat. An overheated
seat may cause serious personal injury.
Note:Do not do the following:
•Place heavy objects on the seat
•Operate the seat heater if water or any other liquid is spilled on the
seat. Allow the seat to dry thoroughly.
The heated seats will only function when the engine is running.
To operate the heated seats:
Press once to activate the high heat setting (three indicator lights).
Continue pressing to scroll through the other settings; medium heat (two
indicator lights), low heat (one indicator light) or off.

REARVIEW CAMERA SYSTEM (IF EQUIPPED)
The rearview camera system,
located on the trunk, provides a
video image which appears on the
navigation screen of the area behind
the vehicle. It adds assistance to the
driver while reversing or reverse
parking the vehicle.
To use the camera system, place the transmission in R (Reverse); an
image will display on the navigation system screen. The area displayed
on the screen may vary according to the vehicle orientation and/or road
condition.
•(1) Rear bumper
•(2) Red zone
•(3) Yellow zone
•(4) Green zone
Always use caution while backing.
Objects in the red zone are closest
to your vehicle and objects in the
green zone are further away. Objects
are getting closer to your vehicle as
they move from the green zone to the yellow or red zones.
Use the side mirrors and rearview mirror to get better coverage on both
sides and rear of the vehicle.
After shifting out of R (Reverse) and into any gear other than P (Park),
the image on the navigation screen will remain until the vehicle speed
reaches five mph (8 km/h), only if the rear camera delay feature is on, or
until any navigation radio button is pressed.
Note:The default setting for the rear camera delay is off. Press the
“Settings” button found on the navigation screen to set the rear camera
delay feature to on or off. Refer to theNavigation Systemsupplement
for more information.
The camera lens for the camera is located on the trunk. Keep the lens
clean so that the video image remains clear and undistorted. Clean the
lens with a soft, lint-free cloth and non-abrasive cleaner.

Note:If the camera system image is not clear or seems distorted, it may
be covered with water droplets, snow, mud or any other substance. If
this occurs, clean the camera lens before using the camera system.
WARNING:The camera system is a reverse aid supplement
device that still requires the driver to use it in conjunction with
the rearview mirror and the side mirrors for maximum coverage.
WARNING:Objects that are close to either corner of the
bumper or under the bumper, might not be seen on the screen
due to the limited coverage of the camera system.
WARNING:Backup as slow as possible since higher speeds
might limit your reaction time to stop the vehicle.
WARNING:Do not use the camera system with the trunk open.
If the back end of the vehicle is hit or damaged, then check with your
authorized dealer to have your rear video system checked for proper
coverage and operation.
Night time and dark area use
At night time or in dark areas, the camera system relies on the reverse
lamp lighting to produce an image. Therefore it is necessary that both
reverse lamps are operating in order to get a clear image in the dark. If
either of the lamps are not operating, stop using the camera system, at
least in the dark, until the lamp(s) are replaced and functioning.
Servicing
•If the image comes on while the vehicle is not in R (Reverse), have
the system inspected by your authorized dealer.
•If the image is not clear, then check if there is anything covering the
lens such as dirt, mud, ice, snow, etc. If the image is still not clear
after cleaning, have your system inspected by your authorized dealer.

BLIND SPOT MIRRORS (IF EQUIPPED)
Blind spot mirrors have an integrated convex spotter mirror built into
the upper outboard corner of the outside mirrors. They are designed to
assist the driver by increasing visibility along the side of the vehicle. For
more information on your side view mirrors, refer toExterior mirrorsin
theDriver Controlschapter.
Driving with blind spot mirrors
Before a lane change, check the
main mirror first, then check the
blind spot mirror. If no vehicles are
present in the blind spot mirror and
the traffic in the adjacent lane is at
a safe distance, signal that you are
going to change lanes. Glance over
your shoulder to verify traffic is
clear, and carefully change lanes.
When the approaching vehicle is at
a distance, its image is small and
near the inboard edge of the main
mirror. As the vehicle approaches,
the image becomes larger and
begins to move outboard across the
main mirror (1). As the vehicle
approaches its image will transition
from the main mirror and begin to
appear in the blind spot mirror (2).
As the vehicle leaves the blind spot
mirror it will transition to the driver’s peripheral field of view (3).
WARNING:Objects in the blind spot mirror are closer than they
appear.
