Press button B from the fully open position. Press
the button again for more than half a second to
automatically move the sun roof to spoiler
position.
Use the sunroof only at “spoiler”
position if a transverse roof rack is
fitted. Do not open the sunroof if there
is snow or ice on it: you may damage it.
WARNING
When leaving the vehicle, always
remove the key
from the ignition to
avoid the risk of injury to those still inside
the car due to accidental operation of the
sunroof. Improper use of the roof can be
dangerous. Before and during operation,
always check that no-one is exposed to the
risk of being injured by the moving sunroof
or by objects getting caught or hit by it.
ANTI-PINCH SAFETY DEVICE
For versions/markets where provided, the sun roof
has an anti-pinch safety system capable of
detecting the presence of an obstacle whilst the
roof is closing; when this happens, the system
stops and the movement of the glass is
immediately reversed.

CLOSING
Proceed as follows:
❒keep the bonnet raised with one hand and
remove rod C fig. 65 from housing D with the
other, inverting the opening motion, then fit
it back into its catch;
❒lower the bonnet to approximately 20
centimetres from the engine compartment and
let it drop. Make sure that the bonnet is
completely closed and not only fastened by the
safety catch by trying to open it. If it is not
perfectly closed, do not try to press the bonnet
lid down but open it and repeat the procedure.
IMPORTANT Always check that the bonnet is
closed correctly to avoid it opening while the car is
travelling.
WARNING
Perform these operations only when
the car is
stationary.
ROOF RACK/SKI RACKThe attachments A fig. 66are located in the areas
illustrated in the figure and can only be accessed
with the doors open. The Lineaccessori Lancia
includes a dedicated roof rack/ski rack for this
car.
WARNING
After travelling for a short distance,
check that the
fixing screws for the
attachments are correctly tightened.
WARNING
Never exceed the maximum permitted
loads (see chapter
"Technical
specifications").

WARNING
Press the clutch pedal fully to change
gears correctly.
It is therefore
essential that there is nothing under the
pedals: make sure the mats are lying flat and
do not get in the way of the pedals.Do not drive with your hand resting on
the gear lever as the force exerted,
even if slight, could lead over time to
premature wear of the gearbox internal
components.
FUEL SAVINGSHere are some suggestions which may help you to
save fuel and lower the amount of harmful
emissions released into the atmosphere.
GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
Car maintenance
Have checks and adjustments carried out in
accordance with the “Scheduled Servicing Plan”.
Tyres
Check the tyre pressure at least once every 4
weeks: if the pressure is too low, consumption
levels increase as resistance to rolling is higher.
Unnecessary loads
Do not travel with an overloaded boot. The weight
of the car and its arrangement greatly affect fuel
consumption and stability.
Roof rack/ski rack
Remove the roof rack or the ski rack from the roof
after use. These accessories lower aerodynamic
penetration and adversely affect consumption
levels. When transporting particularly large
objects, use a trailer if possible.

FUEL CONSUMPTIONThe fuel consumption figures given in the table below are determined on the basis of the type-approval tests laid down by specific European Directives. The procedures below are followed for measuring consumption:❒
urban cycle: cold starting followed by driving that simulates urban use of the car;
❒
extra-urban cycle: frequent accelerating in all gears, simulating extraurban use of the car: speed varies between 0 and 120 km/h;
❒
combined fuel consumption: calculated with a weighting of approximately 37% of the urban cycle and 63% of the extra-urban cycle.
IMPORTANT The type of route, traffic conditions, weather conditions, driving style, general condition of the car, trim level/equipment/accessories, use of the climate control, car load, presence of roof racksand other situations that adversely affect the aerodynamics or wind resistance lead to different fuelconsumption figures than those measured.
