To open, pull the inside or outside
door handle, and slide the door back.
It will latch in the f ully open position.
When opening f rom the inside, the
childproof door lock must be
unlocked.
To close, pull either handle, and slide
the door closed. Make sure the door
is closed and latched securely bef ore
driving, and all passengers are clear
of the sliding doors bef ore closing
them.
Push the release lever to the right as
shown. The doors are electrically powered
and can be operated with the remote
transmitter, the door handles, the
dashboard switches or both door
pillar switches. To operate the doors:
When opening a sliding door, it stops
about halfway if the window is open
more than about 3 in (8 cm). If the
vehicle is f acing downhill, the sliding
door will slam shut when you release
the door handle. Always close the
window f ully bef ore opening the
sliding door. The ignition switch must be in the
ON (II) position with the brake
pedal pressed or the parking brake
applied when you operate the
doors with the shif t lever in any
position other than Park.
The power sliding door MAIN
switch must be in the ON position.
To open the door with the inside
handle or the door pillar switch,
the childproof door lock on the
door must be unlocked (see page
).

Each power sliding door has an auto-
reverse f eature. If a door meets
resistance while closing, it will beep
three times and reverse direction.
However, the door may not reverse
immediately and may cause some
bruising or discomf ort. Always make
sure passengers and objects are
clear of the doors bef ore closing
them.
Press and hold the appropriate
button on the remote transmitter for
about 1 second to unlock and open
the sliding door simultaneously. The
f ront door on the same side will also
unlock. Press and hold the button
again to close the sliding door. The
sliding door and the f ront door on
the same side will remain unlocked
even af ter closing the sliding door. If a rear window is open more than
about 3 in (8 cm), the power sliding
door is designed to stop about
half way to avoid accidents. If this
happens, close the door with the
door handles, the dashboard switch,
door pillar switch, or the remote
transmitter. Close the window and
open the sliding door. Make sure the
window is f ully closed bef ore you
operate the power sliding door.
You can customize the power sliding
doors keyless unlock mode setting
(see page or ).
To close a sliding door, press the
power sliding door button f or at least
1 second.
To stop movement, push the
appropriate door button; you will
hear three beeps. Push and hold the
same button again f or at least 1
second and the door will reverse
direction.

Turn the ignition switch to the ON
(II) position to raise or lower any
window. To open a window, push the
switchdownandholdit.Releasethe
switch when you want the window to
stop. Pull back on the switch and
hold it to close the window. To open either f ront
window f ully, push the window
switch f irmly down to the second
detent, then release it. The window
automatically goes down all the way.
To stop the window f rom going all
the way down, pull back on the
window switch briefly.
To close either f ront window f ully,
pull back the window switch f irmly
to the second detent, then release it.
The window automatically goes all
the way up. To stop the window f rom
going all the way up, push down on
the window switch briefly.

away from the windows before
closing them.

When you push the main switch in,
the indicator comes on and the
passengers’ windows cannot be
raised or lowered. Use the main
switchwhenyouhavechildreninthe
vehicle so they do not injure
themselves by operating the
windows unintentionally. To cancel
this feature, push on the switch
again. The switch will pop out and
the indicator will go of f .
The windows and the main switch
feature will operate for up to 10
minutes after you turn off the
ignition switch. Opening either f ront
door cancels this f unction. If either f ront
window senses any obstacle while it
is closing automatically, it will
reverse direction and then stop. To
close the window, remove the
obstacle, then use the window switch
again.
Auto reverse stops sensing when the
window is almost closed. You should
always check that all passengers and
objects are away from the window
bef ore closing it.
The driver’s window auto
reverse f unction is disabled when
you continuously pull up the switch. You can open all of the windows and
the moonroof (if equipped) f rom the
outside with the remote transmitter.
Press the UNLOCK button once
to unlock the driver’s door.
Press the UNLOCK button a
second time, and hold it. The
passenger’s doors and the tailgate
unlock, and all f our windows and
moonroof start to open. To stop
the windows and moonroof ,
release the button.

To open the moonroof f ully, pull
back the moonroof switch f irmly.
The moonroof opens all the way. To
stop the moonroof f rom opening
f ully, push the switch brief ly. Turn the ignition switch to the ON
(II) position bef ore operating the
moonroof switch on the ceiling
console.
Turnthekeyclockwiseagain,and
hold it. All f our windows and the
moonroof start to open. To stop
the windows and the moonroof ,
release the key.
To close:
Insert the key in the driver’s door
lock.
Turn the key counterclockwise,
then release it.
To open the windows and the
moonroof f urther, turn and hold
the key again (within 10 seconds
of step 2). Turn the key counterclockwise
again, and hold it. All four
windows and the moonroof start to
close. To stop the windows and
the moonroof , release the key.
To close the windows and the
moonroof f urther, turn and hold
the key again (within 10 seconds
of step 2).
If the windows and the
moonroof stop bef ore the desired
position, repeat steps 2 and 3. 1.

The outside mirrors are heated to
remove fog and frost. With the
ignition switch in the ON (II)
position, turn on the heaters by
pressing the button. The indicator in
the button comes on as a reminder.
Press the button again to turn the
heaters off. Pressing this button also
turns the rear window def ogger on
and off.To apply the parking brake, push the
pedal down with your f oot. To
release it, push on the pedal again.
The parking brake indicator on the
instrument panel should go out when
the parking brake is f ully released
(see page ).
If the outside temperature is below
41°F (5°C), the heated mirror
function will come on automatically
f or 10 minutes when you turn the
ignition switch to the ON (II)
position.

To use the sun visor, pull it down.
Whenusingthesunvisorforthe
side window, remove the support rod
f rom the clip, and swing it out.
The sunglasses holder uses a convex
mirror f or its bottom panel. You can
see all the vehicle passengers in this
mirror. To use the mirror, open the
sunglasses holder f ully, push it to the
f irst detent, and release it.
To switch back to the sunglasses
holder, close the conversation mirror
and then open the sunglasses holder.
Some larger styles of sunglasses
may not f it in the holder.
You may also store small items in
thisholder.Makesuretheyare
small enough to let the holder close
and latch, and that they are not
heavy enough to cause the holder to
pop open while driving.
Make sure you put the sun visor
back in place when you are getting
into or out of the vehicle.

When the indicator in the button is
on, air f rom the vehicle’s interior is
sent throughout the system again.
When the indicator is off, air is
brought in f rom the outside of the
vehicle (fresh air mode).
Thesystemshouldbeleftinfresh
air mode under almost all conditions.
Keeping the system in recirculation
mode, particularly with the A/C of f ,
can cause the windows to fog up.
Switch to recirculation mode when
driving through dusty or smoky
conditions, then return to fresh air
mode. The outside air intakes f or the
heating and cooling system are at
the base of the windshield. Keep this
area clear of leaves and other debris.
Turn the dial clockwise to increase
the fan speed and airflow. Turn the
dial counterclockwise to decrease
them.
Turning this dial clockwise increases
the temperature of the airflow.
This button turns the air
conditioning on and of f . The
indicatorinthebuttonisonwhen
the A/C is on.
