TRIP COMPUTER
OPERATION
For selection and display of the
various types of information, giveshort presses on the end of the
windcsreen wiper stalk.
Pr
ess on the"TRIP" button on theradio panel, for permanent displayof the trip computer information.
To reset the trip computer infor-mation to zero, keep the end of
the control stalk pressed for a fewseconds when you see the rele-
vant information displayed.
The trip computer gives you access to:Three types of instantaneous information:
Range.
Instantaneous consumption.Distance remaining to be travelled.Three types of information for two Journeys 1 and 2:The distance travelled.Average consumption.Average speed. The JourneysJourneys1and2are independent of each other but identical in use. For example you can allocate Journey1to daily calculations and Journey 2 to monthly calculations.Resetting a Journey to zeroWhen the desired Journey is displayed, givea long presson the endof the wiper control stalk.
Information concerning your vehicle:
The oil temperature (for NaviDrive display only). The coolant temperature. The tyre pressures.

SPEED-SENSITIVE REAR SPOILER (DEFLECTOR)
The Piloted Defl ector enhancesthe aerodynamics and the brakingof your vehicle.
AUTOMATIC DEPLOYMENT
Two deployment stages are possible:The fi rst deployment stage isfrom around 40 mph (65 km/h).This is maintained as long
as the speed remainsabove approx.16 mph (25 km/h);
below this speed, the Piloted
Defl ector retracts completely.
The second deploymentstage is from around 78 mph(125 km/h). This is maintained
as long as the speed remainsabove approx.65 mph (105 km/h); below this speed,
the Piloted Defl ector returns
to the fi rstdeployment stage.
MAINTENANCE
For any maintenance that may be
necessary on your Piloted Defl ec-
tor (leaves or other components jammed), deploy it in the main-
tenance position: Switch off the
ignition then within one minute
action the wiper stalk. Your Piloted
Defl ector deploys.
Next, to retract it, start then drive at
over 6 mph (10 km/h).Note: The maintenance position makes the wipers stand up verti-cally. See "Wash/wipe".
ACCESSORIESIt is recommended to place
the Piloted Defl ector in themaintenance position before
installing an accessory on the
boot (for example a bicycle-carrier).Installation of accessories on
the vehicle (roof bars, roof box,
bicycle-carrier, etc.) limits theeffectiveness of the Piloted Defl ector.
Note:Depending on engine-type,certain versions are equipped witha fi xed defl ector.
If you wash the vehicle with a high pressure system, make sure that thePiloted Defl ector is closed.

TOPPING UP ENGINE OIL
Before fi lling, pull out the dipstick.
Check the dipstick after fi lling.
It must never exceed the maxi-
mum.
Screw the cap back on and close
the bonnet.
Quality: See "Maintenance andWarranty Guide".
LEVELS
RADIATOR – COOLANT FLUID
Checking the level and topping up
with fl uid must always be done with
the engine cold.
Engine hot
Wait 15 minutes or for the tempe-
rature to be lower than 100 °C and
then carefully unscrew the cap so as
to allow the pressure to drop, pro-
tectin
g yourself with, for example, a cloth.
Topping up the coolant
The level of coolant1 should bebetween theMIN. andMAX. mark-ings on the header tank.
Top up the level. If more than 1 litre
is added, have the cooling systemchecked by a CITROËN dealer or ,gy
a qualifi ed workshop.
Make sure that the cap is back
on properly.Note:If you need to top up the fl uid frequently, this indicates a malfunc-tion which you should get checked
at the earliest opportunity.
Note:The cooling fan may oper-ate for around 10 minutes after theengine has stopped.
Quality:See "Maintenance and
Warranty Guide".
If opening the bonnet when the engine is hot, even if it is stopped and the ignition is switched off, remember that the cooling fan may operate at any moment.
