Head-up display
This device projects a range of impor-tant information into the driver's fi eld of vision. In this way, the driver does notneed to take his eyes off the road.
Speed limiter
This driving assistance device allowsyou to select a maximum speed thatyou do not wish to exceed.
Cruise control
This system allows you to automaticallymaintain the vehicle speed at the valueprogrammed by the driver, without theneed to press the accelerator.
The automatic gearbox

PARKING ASSISTANCELANE DEPARTURE
WARNING SYSTEM
This driving assistance device
warns you when you unwittinglycross a lane marking (either a con-
tinuous or a dotted line on the roadsurface). It is designed for use onmotorways and dual carriageways,
operating only above speeds of
approx. 80 km/h (50 mph).
A press on button Bactivates thefunction, the warning lamp on the
button lights up.
HEAD-UP DISPLAY
The Head-up display projectsessential driving data into thedriver's fi eld of vision. This enablesthe driver never to take his eyesoff the road.
The controls for the Head-up dis-play are located beneath the air
vent on the driver's side.

REMOTE CONTROL
FOLDING AND EJECTING THE KEY
ButtonD is for folding and ejecting the key from its housing in the remotecontrol.
If
you do not press on button D, you could damage the key mechanism.
Changing the remote control battery
Unclip the cover to gain access to the battery.
Battery:CR0523 - 3 V.
After a change of battery, it may be necessary to re-initialise the remotecontrol. To do that, switch on the ignition and immediately press buttonBon your remote control to trigger the action desired. This may take some
ten seconds.Note: Make a careful note of the numbers for the keys and for the remote
control on the ASSISTA NCE card. Keep this in a safe place.
Do not throw away the old batteries. They should be returned to aCITROËN dealer or deposited at a recognised collection point (a camerarshop, for example).
Except when reinitialising, the remote control cannot function while the key is in the ignition,even when switched off.
Warning: by inadvertently actioning the remote control, when for example it is in your pocket,you can unlock the vehicle without your realising it.
However, if none of the doors is opened within thirty seconds following an unlocking, the doorswill automatically relock.
Warning: there is a risk of damage if the replacement battery is not the correct one.
Only use batteries that are identical or equivalent to those approved by CITROËN.
GUIDE-ME-HOME LIGHTING
A press on buttonC operates theguide-me-home lighting (illumina-
tion of the sidelamps and dipped
beams for approx. one minute).
A second press prior to the end of
this period cancels the guide-me-home lighting.
LOCATING OF THE VEHICLE
To locate the vehicle in a carpark,press button B, the interior lampscome on and the direction indica-
tors fl ash for a few seconds. Thevehicle remains locked.

BRAKES
ABS system
The ABS system enhances your safety by preventing the wheels from locking in the event of sudden brakingor in conditions of poor road adherence. It enables you to retain control of the steering.
The
functioning capability of all the electrical components essential to the ABS is monitored electronically before and
during your journey. The ABS warning lamp lights up when you switch on the ignition: it should go out after a fewseconds.
If the monitoring warning lamp does not go out, that means that the ABS has disconnected because there is a fault.Also, the fact that the monitoring warning lamp comes on during the journey shows that the ABS system is inactive.
In both cases, the normal braking system remains effi cient, exactly as on a vehicle without ABS. However, to restorethe level of safety provided by correct operation of the ABS, the vehicle should be inspected as soon as possible bya CITROÀN dealer or a qualifi ed workshop.yp y p
On roads with poor adherence (chippings, snow, ice etc.), it is always imperative to drive with prudence.
SYSTEM OF EMERGENCY BRAKING ASSISTANCE
The emergency braking assistance system helps you to attain the required braking pressure more rapidly, thus toreduce the stopping distance. It operates depending on the speed of action on the brake pedal, decreasing theresistance to this action. To prolong this action of the emergency braking assistance system, simply keep your foot
on the brake pedal.
If the Electric Parking Brake is off, the lighting of this warning lamp in conjunction with theSTOPwarn-ing lamp indicates that the brake fl uid level is low or that the braking distributor is malfunctioning. It isessential to stop the vehicle. Alert a CITROËN dealer or a qualifi ed workshop as soon as possible.gpgg

As the vehicle approaches the
obstacle, the sound signal becomesmore and more urgent and theshaded areas are displayed closer and closer to the vehicle. Proximit
y sensors are located in the front and rear bumpersof your vehicle.
When manœuvringin either forward or reverse gear, at a low speed less
than approx. 10 km/h (6 mph), they inform you of the presence of any
obstacle that is within their zone of detection by:A sound signal emitted by the front or rear loudspeakers.
Display of the outline of your vehicle with shading corresponding to thearea where an obstacle is detected.
As the vehicle approaches the obstacle, the sound signal tells you the posi-
tion of the obstacle according to whether the sound is coming from the front LH or RH or the rear LH or RH loudspeakers.
Note:The sound volume of your audio equipment reduces automatically when a signal is being emitted.
