MONITORING
Deactivating
the passenger's airbag fi x e d . The passenger's airbag
control is set to the
OFF
position.
The passenger's front
airbag is deactivated.
In this case you can
install a "rear facing" child
seat. Set the control to the
ON position to activate the
p a s s e n g e r ' s f r o n t a i r b a g . I n t h i s c a s e , d o n o t fi t a
child seat in the rear-facing position.
Battery
charge fi x e d . The battery charging
circuit has a fault (dirty or
loose terminals, slack or
cut alternator belt, ...). The warning lamp should go off when the engine
is started.
If it does not go off, contact a CITROËN dealer
o r a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
Electric power
steering fi x e d . The electric power
steering has a fault. Drive carefully at reduced speed.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or
q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
Driver's
seat belt not fastened
(according to version) fl a s h i n g , t h e n
above 9 mph (15 km/h),
accompanied
by an audible signal. The driver has not
fastened their seat belt.
Pull the strap then insert the tongue in the
buckle.
Emission
control
system fi x e d .
The emission control
system has a fault. This lamp should go off when the engine is
started.
If it does not go off, contact a CITROËN dealer or
a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p w i t h o u t d e l a y .

ACCESS ELECTRIC WINDOWS
The driver and front passenger each
have an electric window.
After the ignition has been switched
on, press or pull control 1 . The window
stops when you release the control.
Always remove the key from
the ignition when leaving
the vehicle, even for a short
time.
The driver must ensure that the front
passenger uses their electric window
correctly.
Be aware of children when operating
the windows.
DOORS
Driver's door open
If the driver's door is open,
the courtesy lamp remains
on if the button is in this
position.
Locking/unlocking a door
from the inside
Normal locking/unlocking: the
doors lock/unlock independently.
To lock/unlock a door, press/pull
button A .
Central locking/unlocking: the
doors and tailgate are locked/
unlocked simultaneously.
To lock/unlock the vehicle, press/pull
button A on the driver's door.
For the other doors, carry out the
same operation as for normal locking/
unlocking. Child lock
This prevents the opening of either of
the rear doors from the inside.
Push control
1 towards the outside of
the vehicle.
Check the status of this safety device before switching on
the ignition.
This system is independent
of the central locking.
Always remove the key from the ignition
when leaving the vehicle.
Operating the handle does
not unlock the door, pull
button A to unlock.

In order to optimise the operation
of units as important as the braking
system, CITROËN selects and offers
s p e c i fi c p r o d u c t s .
In order to avoid damaging the
electrical units, high pressure washing to clean the engine compartment is
strictly prohibited.
To check the main levels and certain
components, in accordance with the
manufacturer's servicing schedule,
refer to the pages of the servicing
booklet which correspond to your
vehicle's engine.
Battery
At the start of winter, have your
battery checked by a CITROËN
d e a l e r o r a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
Air filter and passenger
compartment filter
H a v e t h e fi l t e r e l e m e n t s r e p l a c e d
regularly.
If you drive in dusty
conditions, change them twice as
often.
Brake pads
Brake pad wear depends on the style
of driving, in particular for vehicles
which are used in town, over short
distances. Disc and drum wear

Manual gearbox
H a v e t h e l e v e l c h e c k e d i n a c c o r d -
a n c e w i t h t h e m a n u f a c t u r e r ' s s e r v i c -
ing schedule.
It may be necessary to check
the thickness of the pads,
even between services. Parking brake
Where the parking brake travel is
too great or there is a reduction in
the performance of the system, the
parking brake should be adjusted,
even between services.

Unclip the cover, pressing on the
right on lug E , to gain access to
the fuses. Your vehicle's electrical cir-
cuit is designed to operate
with standard or optional
equipment.
Before installing other electrical
equipment or accessories on your
vehicle, contact a CITROËN dealer
o r a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
The tweezer A and the replacement
fuses B a r e fi x e d a t t h e f r o n t o f t h e
box.
W h e n y o u h a v e fi n i s h e d , c l o s e t h e
cover very carefully. Some electrical accessories or the
w a y i n w h i c h t h e y a r e fi t t e d m a y
have an adverse effect on the opera-
tion of your vehicle (audio circuits,
control circuit and electrical charging
circuit).
CITROËN will not accept any re-
sponsibility for the costs incurred in
repairing your vehicle or for the mal-
functions resulting from the installa-
tion of auxiliary accessories which
were not supplied or recommended
by CITROËN and which were not in-
stalled in accordance with its instruc-
