When KEYLESS ACCESS BEEP is
set to ON, the beeper sounds twice
when you unlock the doors by
grabbing the drivers door handle
while carrying the remote.
When you lock the doors by
touching the door lock sensor while
carrying the remote, the beeper
sounds once.
While the multi-information display
is in the KEYLESS ACCESS SETUP
screen of the CUSTOMIZE GROUP,
press the SEL/RESET button. The
screen changes to CUSTOMIZE
MENU. Press the INFO ( / )
button until you see the above
display.Press the SEL/RESET button. The
screen changes as shown above.
Select ON or OFF by pressing the
INFO ( / ) button, then press the
SEL/RESET button to enter your
selection.

µThe automatic lighting f eature is
controlledbyasensorlocatedontop
of the dashboard. Do not cover this
sensor or spill liquids on it.
Even with the automatic lighting
f eature turned on, we recommend
thatyouturnonthelightsmanually
when driving at night or in a dense
f og, or when you enter dark areas
such as long tunnels or parking
f acilities.
To turn on automatic lighting, turn
the light switch to AUTO. The lights
will come on automatically when the
outside light level becomes low (at
dusk, f or example). The lights on
indicator comes on as a reminder.
The lights and indicator will turn of f
automatically when the system
senses high ambient light. To change the ‘‘AUTO LIGHT
SENSITIVITY’’ setting, see page
.
The automatic lighting
f eature turns on the headlights, all
other exterior lights, and the
instrument panel lights when it
senses low ambient light.
The lights will remain on when you
turn of f the ignition switch. They will
turn of f automatically when you open
and close the driver’s door. To turn
them on again, either turn the
ignition switch to the ON (II)
position or turn the light switch to
the position. Do not leave the light switch in
AUTO if you will not be driving the
vehicle f or an extended period (a
weekormore).Youshouldalsoturn
of f the lights if you plan to leave the
engine idling or of f f or a long time.

Be sure to adjust the mirrors bef ore
you start driving.
The inside mirror can automatically
darken to reduce glare. To turn on
this feature, press the button on the
bottom of the mirror. The AUTO
indicator comes on as a reminder.
When it is on, the mirror darkens
when it senses the headlights of a
vehicle behind you, then returns to
normal visibility when the lights aregone. Press the button again to turn
of f this f eature.
Push the appropriate edge of the
adjustment switch to move the
mirrorright,left,up,ordown. Turn the ignition switch to the ON
(II) position.
Move the selector switch to L

side).

The handle of each f ront door has a
sensor. That sensor works with the
remote so you can automatically
unlock/lock the door(s).
By def ault, only the driver’s door
unlocks when you grab its handle.If a remote is within operating range
while you wash your vehicle or when
it is raining heavily, the door sensors
may respond by unlocking the doors.
The unlock sensors do not operate
when:
Theremoteisnotwithinthe
operating range.
The remote is too close to the
vehicle.
When the doors are unlocked.
Theremotebatteryisdead.
The vehicle battery is dead.
If you do not open any of the doors
within 30 seconds, they will
automatically relock. If you wear a glove while grabbing a
f ront door handle, the door sensor
maybeslowtorespondormaynot
respond by unlocking the doors. To change the ‘‘KEYLESS ACCESS
BEEP’’ setting, see page . To change the ‘‘KEYLESS ACCESS

UNLOCK f eature.
When you touch the door lock
sensor of the f ront door by hand, all
the doors and the trunk will lock.The lock sensors do not operate if :

because the trunk or hood is open,
no exterior light blinks and/or no
beeper sounds.
Bef ore locking the doors, make sure

handle to lock the doors or locking
