To openPull up the latch, and then lower the tailgate.
To closeLift the tailgate to the original position and push it
inward until it is securely latched.NOTICEThe tailgate is not designed to hold heavy

Front and rear shock absorber assemblies
WARNING
These shock absorber assemblies contain
highly pressurized nitrogen gas. Read and un-
derstand the following information before han-
dling the shock absorber assemblies.

Do not tamper with or attempt to open the
cylinder assemblies.


Do not subject the shock absorber assem-
blies to an open flame or other high heat
source. This may cause the units to ex-
plode due to excessive gas pressure.


Do not deform or damage the cylinders in
any way. Cylinder damage will result in
poor damping performance.


Do not dispose of a damaged or worn out
shock absorber assembly yourself. Take
the shock absorber assembly to a Yamaha
dealer for any service.

Combinés ressort-amortisseur avant et arrière
AVERTISSEMENT
Ces combinés ressort-amortisseur contiennent de
l’azote à haute pression. Lire attentivement les infor-
mations ci-dessous avant de manipuler les combinés
ressort-amortisseur.

Ne pas modifier ni tenter d’ouvrir les bonbon-
nes.


Ne pas approcher les combinés ressort-amortis-
seur d’une flamme ou de toute autre source de
chaleur intense. L’élévation de pression qui en
résulterait pourrait faire exploser les pièces.


Ne pas déformer ni endommager les bonbonnes.
Tout endommagement d’une bonbonne risque
d’amoindrir les performances d’amortissement.


Ne pas jeter un combiné ressort-amortisseur en-
dommagé ou usé. Tout entretien de combiné
ressort-amortisseur doit être confié à un conces-
sionnaire Yamaha.

No manipule ni trate de abrir los conjuntos
de cilindros.


No someta los conjuntos amortiguadores a
una llama directa u otra fuente de calor ex-
cesivo. Los amortiguadores pueden explo-
tar a causa del exceso de presión del gas.


No deforme ni dañe los cilindros en modo
alguno. Los daños en los cilindros ocasio-
narán un funcionamiento deficiente del hi-
dráulico.


No se deshaga por sí mismo de un conjunto
amortiguador dañado o gastado. Lleve el
conjunto amortiguador a un concesionario
Yamaha para cualquier cuestión de mante-
nimiento.

Trailer hitch bracket and receiver
This vehicle is equipped with a trailer hitch bracket
and a 5 cm (2 in) receiver for a standard trailer
hitch. Trailer towing equipment can be obtained at
a Yamaha dealer. (See pages 6-27–6-37 for pre-
caution information.)

Auxiliary DC jack
The auxiliary DC jack is located at the right side of
the front panel. The auxiliary DC jack can be used
for suitable work lights, radios, etc. The auxiliary
DC jack should only be used when the engine is
running and the headlights are turned off.
1. Set the light switch to “ ”.
2. Start the engine. (See pages 6-7–6-9.)
3. Open the auxiliary DC jack cap, and then in-
sert the accessory power plug into the jack.
