Set this switch to“” before starting the engine.
The engine stop switch controls the ignition and
stops the engine when it is running. Use this switch
to stop the engine in an emergency situation. The
engine will not start or run when this switch is set
to“”.
EBU18101Start switch“”
Push this switch to crank the engine with the start-
er. See the starting instructions on page 6-1 prior
to starting the engine.EBU18161Light switch“//OFF”
Set this switch to“” to turn on the low beams,
the taillight and the meter lighting. Set the switch
to“” to turn on the high beams, the taillight and
the meter lighting. Set the switch to “OFF” to turn
off all the lights.NOTICEECB00041Do not use the headlights with the engine
turned off for an extended period of time, oth-
erwise the battery may discharge to the point
that the starter motor will not operate properly.
If this should happen, remove the battery and
recharge it. See page 8-38 for battery charging

8 4. Remove the burnt-out bulb by pulling it out.
5. Insert a new headlight bulb into the bulb hold-
er by pushing it in. NOTICE: Do not touch
the glass part of the headlight bulb to keep
it free from oil, otherwise the transparency
of the glass, the luminosity of the bulb, and
the bulb life will be adversely affected.
Thoroughly clean off any dirt and finger-
prints on the headlight bulb using a cloth
moistened with alcohol or thinner.

6. Install the bulb holder by pushing it in and turn-
ing it clockwise.7. Install the bulb holder cover and the cover at
the rear of the headlight. NOTICE: Make sure
the headlight bulb holder cover is securely
fitted over the bulb holder and seated
properly.

this adjustment.To raise a headlight beam, turn the headlight beam
adjusting screw in direction (a).
To lower a headlight beam, turn the adjusting
screw in direction (b).
