Connection of more than one mobile phone
A maximum of four mobile phones can be connected to the radio and naviga-
tion system. When the radio and navigation system is switched on, it auto-
matically connects to the last connected mobile phone. If it is not possible to
connect to this mobile phone, the system will try to automatically connect to
the next mobile phone on the list of connected units.
If there are already four phones connected and you wish to connect an addi-
tional phone, it will be necessary to delete one of the phones from the list of
units connected.•Press the unit button.•Press the function button

After deleting the phone, there will only be three entries in the list of
connected units. It will now be possible to start a new connection to another
mobile phone.Note
For safety reasons, Bluetooth visibility in the radio and navigation system is
limited to exactly five minutes.
Note
The Bluetooth connection has a maximum range of 10 metres. An existing
Bluetooth connection will be disconnected if the distance between the connected units is greater than this. The connection is
automatically
resumed when the units are back within the range.
PHONE main menuAfter the connection procedure, the radio and navigation system uses the
data from the mobile phone address book and call lists, which can be viewed
and used via the PHONE main menu.•Press the unit button to open the PHONE main menu.
Displays on PHONE main menu
The name of the connected phone is displayed in the centre of the PHONE
main menu screen, (in fig. 78FON 01 ) and the name of the operator (mobile
phone supplier).
The symbol
in the upper left corner of the display indicates an existing Blue-
tooth
® connection.

Each time you enter a character, the sequence of characters in the input line
is automatically completed with a name that is in the address book.
If no name is offered when all the characters have been entered, there is no
entry in the address book corresponding to the sequence of characters you
have entered.•Delete characters in the line of data until a name is suggested.
Both upper and lower case are accepted when searching for an entry in the
address book.•Press the function button to select the entry in the address book
when you have found it.•Alternatively: press the right unit button to select the entry in the list,
when you have found it.•Press the selected address book entry to make a call.•Alternatively: press the setting knob ⇒page 8, fig. 1 to make the
call.Displaying and editing the phone numberA telephone number stored in the address book or in a call list can be
changed before you dial it.
Displaying and changing telephone numbers via an input window•Select the phone number and press the function button.•Press the function button to view the number in the input window.
The phone number can be changed here or reproduced as a DTMF sequence.
After you have changed the number, you can dial it by pressing the function
key . The changes
are not saved permanently in the address book. The modified
phone number can be viewed in the call list Numbers dialled after a call has
been made.
Call listsAll the call lists in the mobile phone memory can be consulted using the radio
and navigation system phone control system. The call lists give all the calls
made using the mobile phone.
If the phone accepts the handsfree profile 1.5 , calls not made through the
radio and navigation phone control system will also be shown.
Missed calls
The call list gives all missed and unanswered calls.
Numbers dialled
The call list gives all the phone numbers selected through the mobile phone
and through the radio and navigation phone control system.

Calls answered
The call list gives all the incoming calls answered with the mobile phone and
via the radio and navigation phone control system.
Opening the call list•Press the required call list function button in the PHONE main menu.•Alternatively: select the required call list in the PHONE main menu by
turning the setting knob ⇒page 8, fig. 1 and open by pressing the
button.
If a phone number has been saved in the address book, the call list will
display the name stored against the phone number instead of the number.Note

Changing the balance and fader settings

Changing the volume settings and adjustments
The volume settings and adjustments can be pre-defined.
While you adjust volume settings, the currently active audio source is played

which you can set the automatic audio volume reduction applied when the
parking distance warning system is active. Functional description of speed-dependent volume adjustment (GALA)
The speed dependent volume adjustment automatically increases the
volume as the vehicle speed increases.
The degree to which the volume increases with speed is adjusted on a scale
between
1 and 7.
If a low value is set, the volume rises only slightly as the speed of the vehicle
increases. At a high setting the volume is increased more. At 0 speed-
dependent volume control is switched off (display: Off).
System settings•Press the unit button and the function button to open the
settings menu.
Resetting to factory settings
The restoration of the original settings deletes all the previous entries, desti-
nations and other settings .•In the System settings menu , press the function button.•Confirm the prompt by pressing to reset the unit to its original
settings.
