Deactivation
Press button A to deactivate the sys-
tem (child asleep in the rear...). The in-
dicator lamp on the button comes on.
Note: this function will be de-
activated automatically when
a trailer is being towed (vehi-
c l e fi t t e d w i t h a t o w b a r r e c o m -
mended by PEUGEOT). If there is an operating fault,
when reverse gear is en-
gaged, the indicator lamp
fl a s h e s , a c c o m p a n i e d b y a n
audible signal and a message on the
multifunction screen.
Reactivation
Press button
A again to reactivate the
system. The indicator lamp on the but-
ton is switched off.
The proximity of the obstacle is indi-
cated by:
- an audible signal which becomes more rapid as the vehicle ap-
proaches the obstacle,
- a graphic on the multifunction screen, with blocks which become
increasingly close to the vehicle.
The obstacle is located in relation to
the emission of the audible signal by
the speakers; that is, front or rear and
right or left.
When the distance between the ve-
hicle and the obstacle is less than
approximately thirty centimetres, the
audible signal becomes continuous
and/or the "Danger" symbol appears
on the multifunction screen.
The system becomes inactive again:
- when you exit reverse gear,
- when the speed is above 6 mph (10 km/h),
- at the end of the manoeuvre, when stationary, after a few seconds
(front parking sensors only).

Fitting a wheel
Position the wheel.
Tighten the bolts by hand.
Partly tighten the bolts using the
wheelbrace.
Fold the jack 2 and remove it.
Fully tighten the bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 .
For vehicles with steel wheels, re-
fi t t h e w h e e l t r i m s t a r t i n g b y p l a c -
ing its notch facing the valve and
press with the palm of the hand.

the covers.
Put the tool holder back in position.
T h i s h e l p s t o k e e p t h e b o o t fl o o r i n i t s
correct position, to prevent any de-
f o r m a t i o n o f t h e fl o o r w h e n l o a d e d .

Reminder: for your safety, always
change a wheel:
- on level, stable, non-slippery ground,
- with the parking brake applied,
- w i t h fi r s t o r r e v e r s e g e a r e n g a g e d (position P for the automatic gear-
box),
- never go underneath a vehicle which is supported only by a jack.

system warning lamp
These original equipment wheels are
fi t t e d w i t h a p r e s s u r e s e n s o r ( s e e
p a r a g r a p h " T y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n d e t e c -
tion"). The warning which detects the
r e m o v a l o r a b s e n c e o f a w h e e l fi t t e d
with the pressure sensor signals the
anomaly. Have the wheel repaired and
checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.
After changing the wheel:
- have the tightness of the bolts and
the tyre pressure of the spare wheel
checked as soon as possible.
- have the punctured wheel repaired a n d r e fi t i t t o t h e v e h i c l e a s s o o n a s
possible.
- have the spare wheel checked and replace it in its boot recess.
Recommendations when using
the temporary spare wheel *
Your vehicle may be equipped with a
spare wheel with a different rim to that
of the standard wheel.
After use, replace it as soon as possible.
Follow the recommendations below
to avoid any alteration in vehicle han-
dling:
-
do not drive above 50 mph (80 km/h) ,
- d o n o t fi t a w h e e l t r i m ,
- drive carefully,
- c h e c k t h e i n fl a t i o n p r e s s u r e i n d i c a t e d on the label.

CHANGING A FUSE
The fuse boxes are placed in the lower
part of the fascia (passenger side in
the glove box) and in the engine com-
partment (left-hand side). Fascia fuses
To access the fuses, open the glove box. Open the fuse box co
ver by pressing the
two tabs at the top.
Replacing a fuse
Before replacing a fuse, the cause of
the incident must be found and recti-
fi e d . T h e f u s e n u m b e r s a r e i n d i c a t e d
on the fuse box. Always replace a faulty fuse
with a fuse of the same rating
(same colour).
Use the special pliers located
on the support next to the fuse box,
this support also contains the replace-
ment fuses.

Engine compartment fuses
To access the fuses located in the
engine compartment (next to the bat-
tery), remove the battery cover and
unclip the fuse box cover.
Close the fuse box cover carefully and
