SEAT BELTS
Front seat belt fastening detection
Front seat belts with
pre-tensioner and force
limiter
In the event of a serious front impact,
the pre-tensioning system instantly
tightens the seat belts fi rmly against
the bodies of the occupants.
The pre-tensioning seat belts are
armed when the ignition is on.
The force limiter reduces the pressure
of the seat belt against the chest of the
occupant, so increasing his pronstection.
Rear seat belts
The rear seats are each fi tted with a
three-point inertia reel seat belt.
These seat belts have a force limiter.
To fasten the seat belts

 Pull the strap, then insert the
tongue into the buckle.


Check that the seat belt is fastened
correctly by pulling the strap.
To unfasten the seat belts


Press the red button on the buckle.

Note: a bag or an animal
placed on the front passenger
seat may trigger the illumina-
tion of the warning lamp.
The audible signal ceases and the
warning lamp goes off when the seat
belt concerned is fastened.
After two minutes without any action
on the seat belts, the fl ashing warning
lamp remains on fi xed and the audible
signal ceases.
All of the warnings cease when a
door is opened or when the engine is
switched off.
Front seat belt height adjustment:

 To lower the attachment point,
squeeze control 1 and slide it
downwards.

 To raise the attachment point, slide
control 1 upwards.
When the ignition is
switched on , if a front pas-
senger has not fastened
their seat belt and if the vehi-
cle speed is below
12
mph
(20 km/h) , you are warned by illumi-
nation of the seat belt warning lamp .
The warning lamp goes off when the
seat belt(s) concerned is(are) fastened.
If the vehicle speed is above
12
mph
(20 km/h) , you are warned by fl ash-
ing of the seat belt warning lamp , an
audible signal and a message in the
multifunction screen locating the un-
fastened seat belt(s).

Bolt covers
Alloy wheel bolts are covered by
chrome trims.
Use the yellow tool to remove the trims
before slackening the bolts.
Fitting the spare wheel
If your vehicle is fi tted with a steel spare
wheel, when fi tting it, it is normal when
tightening the bolts to notice that the
washers do not come into contact with
the rim. The spare wheel is secured by
the cone shape of each bolt.
VERY COLD CLIMATE SCREEN *
The very cold climate screen is a par-
tial removable cover which is fi xed
onto the air intake grille to prevent the
accumulation of snow due to direct
splashes.
Once it has been fi tted on your ve-
hicle, it must be removed when the
ambient temperature conditions rise
above 10 °C again.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.

Special features of alloy wheels
Security bolts
Your wheels are fi tted with security
bolts (one per wheel), placed under
chrome trims which must be removed
using the yellow tool, before the bolts
are unscrewed using the security bolt
socket and the wheelbrace 1 .
Fitting snow tyres
If you fi t snow tyres mounted on steel
wheels onto your vehicle, it is
essential
to use special bolts available from your
PEUGEOT dealer.
This security bolt socket was
given to you on delivery of
your vehicle with the duplicate
keys. Make a careful note of
the code number engraved on the
head of the security bolt socket. This
will enable you to obtain a duplicate
security bolt socket from a PEUGEOT
dealer. You are advised to do the same
for the duplicate keys.
Punctured tyre warning

These original wheels are fi tted with
a pressure sensor (see "Tyre under-
infl ation detection"). The alarm which
detects the removal or absence of a
wheel fi tted with the indicator sensor
signals the anomaly. Have the wheel
repaired and checked by a PEUGEOT
dealer.
3 litre V6 HDi 24V engine
When the temperature is below minus
20 °C, your vehicle must be pre-heated
for 30 minutes using the programmable
heating before starting.
Refer to the corresponding paragraph
in the "Comfort" section.

CHANGING A FRONT BULB
Handle the bulbs with a dry cloth.
2 - Sidelamps :
W 5 W (COOL BLUE ®
).

 Turn the access cap a quarter turn,
remove the bulb and change it.

3 - Direction indicators :
PY 21 W (DIADEM ®
).

 Turn the access cap a quarter turn.

 Remove the bulb holder.

 Change the bulb.

4 - Front foglamps :
H11 - 55 W.
The headlamps are fi tted with polycarbon-
ate glass with a protective coating. Do not
clean them with a dry or abrasive cloth, nor
with a detergent or solvent product.
Ensure that the liquid used to fi ll the
screenwash and headlamp wash res-
ervoir is of good quality. Integrated direction indicator side
repeaters

 Push the repeater forwards or
backwards and release it.

 Unclip the repeater and change it.
Repeaters can be obtained from a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Front lamps
In the engine compartment, remove
the cover secured by one or two but-
terfl y screws, a plastic retainer clip and
two quarter turn screws.

1 - Dipped and main beam headlamps :
D1S-35W xenon bulb.

WARNING: RISK OF
ELECTROCUTION Coloured bulbs (sidelamps
and direction indicators) must
be replaced with bulbs of iden-
tical specifi cation and colour.
Xenon bulbs must be replaced by a
PEUGEOT dealer.
High pressure washing :
when using a high pressure
washer on stubborn dirt, do
not persist on the headlamps,
other lamps and their edges to avoid
damaging their coating and seals.
In certain climatic conditions (low tem-
perature, humidity), condensation on
the inside surface of the headlamp
glass and rear lamp lens is normal;
it disappears a few minutes after the
lighting is switched on.

CONFIGURE THE FILTERING AND
DISPLAY OF TMC MESSAGES
Then select the radius of the fi lter in miles (km) required in accordance with the route, press the dial to confi rm.
When all of the messages on the route are selected, the addition of a geographical fi lter is recommended (within a radius of 3 miles (5 km) for example) to reduce the number of messages displayed on the map. The geographical fi lter follows the movement of the vehicle.
The fi lters are independent and their results are cumulative
.
We recommend a fi lter on the route and a fi lter around the vehicle of:
- 2 miles (3 km) or 3 miles (5 km) for a region with heavy traffi c,
- 6 miles (10 km) for a region with normal traffi c,
- 30 miles (50 km) for long journeys (motorway).
Press the TRAFFIC button again or select the Traffi c Menu function and press the dial to confi rm.
Press the TRAFFIC button.
TMC (Traffi c Message Channel) messages contain information on traffi c and weather conditions, received in real time and transmitted to the driver in the form of audible announcements and symbols on the navigation map.
The navigation system can then suggest an alternative route to avoid a traffi c problem.
Select the "Geo. Filter" function and press the dial to confi rm.

The list of TMC messages appears under the Traffi c Menu sorted in order of proximity.
