ACCESS
Before opening the tailgate,
ensure that no one is within the
radius of opening.
For reasons of safety and cor-
rect operation, do not drive with
the tailgate open.
If the battery is disconnected,
the tailgate cannot be opened.
Do not climb onto the lower tail-
gate and do not subject it to heavy
knocks, it may be damaged.
Always close the lower tailgate
and check that it is secured cor-
rectly before closing the main
tailgate.
When closing the lower tailgate,
ensure that no person or object
is in the proximity of the moving
parts to avoid any risk of injury
or damage.
Do not open the lower tailgate
w h e n a t o w b a r i s fi t t e d .
"Tailgate open" warning
This warning lamp comes on on
the instrument panel screen when
the tailgate is not closed correctly.
LOWER TAILGALOWER TAILGATE
Opening
Push the handle C to the right and
tilt the tailgate D gently.
Closing
Raise the tailgate D , push it to close
it, then check that it is secured cor-
rectly. Maximum authorised weight on
the lower tailgate when open:
200 kg . Tailgate release
This enables the tailgate to be unlocked
in the event of a central locking fault.
- Fold back the rear seats to gain
access to the tailgate release from
inside the boot.
- Remove the plastic cap from the opening A in the tailgate interior
pillar.
- Move the control B to the right to
unlock and open the tailgate.

placed in the "ON" p o s i t i o n .

i n s i d e o r u s i n g t h e r e m o t e c o n t r o l .

REVERSING CAMERAREVERSING CAMERA
Linked with the navigation option, a re-
versing camera is activated automati-
cally when reverse gear is engaged.
The colour image is provided on the
navigation screen with indication of the
limit of the rear bumper and of the gen-
eral direction of the vehicle.
Operating fault
If an operating fault occurs, the indica-
tor lamp on button
A fl a s h e s w h e n r e -
verse gear is engaged.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
In bad weather or in winter, check
that the sensors are not covered
with mud, ice or snow.
Deactivation
With reverse gear engaged, press
button A , the indicator lamp goes
off, the system is fully deactivated.
Reactivation
With reverse gear engaged, press
button A again, the indicator lamp
comes on, the system is reactivated.

Press button A to deactivate the
system.
Press button A again for a few seconds
and release it.

Fixing the "space-saver"
spare wheel
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h a l -
loy wheels, it is normal to notice
that the washers do not come
into contact with the "space-sav-
er" spare wheel when tightening
t h e b o l t s o n fi t t i n g . T h e w h e e l i s
retained by the conical contact
of each bolt.
Access to the spare wheel in
the 7 seat configuration
The "space-
saver
" spare wheel is in-
stalled on the outside, under the boot,
supported by a metal carrier.
To gain access to the tools, refer to the
"Access to the tools" paragraph. Putting the wheel back in place
Put the wheel back in place in its
carrier.
Lift the carrier C and reposition the
hook D .
Open the lower tailgate (refer to the
"Access" section).
Remove the plastic cover A using
the handle 3 .
Unscrew the spare wheel carrier
retaining bolt B using the wheel-
brace 1 .
Close the lower tailgate (refer to the
"Access" section).
Lift the carrier C to detach the
hook D then allow it to lower.
Tighten the spare wheel carrier re-
taining bolt B fully using the wheel-
brace 1 .
R e fi t t h e p l a s t i c c o v e r A , close the
lower tailgate and store the tools.
Removing the wheel
Open the tailgate and the lower tail-
gate (refer to the "Access" section).
Take out the handle 3 (refer to the
"Access to the tools" paragraph).

Access to the spare wheel in
the 5 seat configuration
The pressed
steel
spare wheel is in-
stalled on the outside, under the boot,
supported by a winch and a plastic
carrier.
To gain access to the tools, refer to the
"Access to the tools" paragraph.
Fixing the pressed steel
spare wheel
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h a l l o y
wheels, it is normal to notice that
the washers do not come into
contact with the pressed steel
spare wheel when tightening the
b o l t s o n fi t t i n g . T h e w h e e l i s r e -
tained by the conical contact of
each bolt.
Removing the wheel
Open the tailgate and the lower tail-
gate (refer to the "Access" section).
Take out the handle 3 (refer to the
"Access to the tools" paragraph).
Remove the plastic cover A using
the handle 3 . Putting the wheel back in place
Put the wheel back in place in its
carrier.
Pass the hook C into the chain.
Open the lower tailgate (refer to the
"Access" section).
Unscrew the retaining bolt B fully
using the wheelbrace 1 , to unwind
the winch cable.
Close the lower tailgate (refer to the
"Access" section).
Detach the hook C from the chain.
Unwind the winch cable fully to make
unhooking of the chain easier.
Tighten the winch retaining bolt B
fully using the wheelbrace 1 .

These two bulbs are changed from out-
side with the tailgate open:
Open the tailgate (refer to the
"Access" section),
R e m o v e t h e t w o l a m p fi x i n g b o l t s A ,
E x t r a c t t h e l a m p u n i t f r o m o u t s i d e ,
Turn the pin C to the left and remove it.
Pull the bulb D out and change it.
T o r e fi t , c a r r y o u t t h e s e o p e r a t i o n s i n
reverse order.
Turn the pin B to the left and remove it.
Pull the bulb out and change it. W h e n r e fi t t i n g t h e l a m p u n i t , a l i g n t h e
two pins
E with the openings on the ve-
hicle.
Amber coloured bulbs, such as
the direction indicators, must be
replaced with bulbs of identical
s p e c i fi c a t i o n a n d c o l o u r .
Changing the third brake lamp
(LEDs)
All work on the LED lamps must be car-
ried out by a PEUGEOT dealer.

Changing reversing lamp bulbs
Open the tailgate (refer to the
"Access" section),
From the inside of the tailgate, in-
sert a screwdriver in the opening on
the cover A to use it as a lever to
open the cover. Changing number plate lamp bulbs
Open the tailgate (refer to the
"Access" section) to gain access to
the number plate lamps D ,
Remove the lamp unit D while
pressing it to the left.
Turn the pin B to the left and remove it.
Pull the bulb C out and change it.

reverse order.
Insert a thin screwdriver in the open-
ing on the lens to press the tab E .
Remove the lens.
Pull the bulb out and change it.
