DRIVING
When the cruise control is switched
on, be careful if you maintain the
pressure on one of the programmed
speed changing buttons: this may
result in a very rapid change in the
speed of your vehicle.
Do not use the cruise control on
s l i p p e r y r o a d s o r i n h e a v y t r a f fi c .
On a steep descent, the cruise
control will not be able to prevent
t h e v e h i c l e f r o m e x c e e d i n g t h e p r o -
grammed speed.
T o a v o i d a n y r i s k o f j a m m i n g o f t h e
pedals:
- ensure that the mat is posi- tioned correctly,
- n e v e r fi t o n e m a t o n t o p o f a n - other.
Programming
Turn dial 1 to the "CRUISE" po-
sition: the cruise control mode is
selected but is not switched on
( O F F ) .
Exceeding the programmed speed
I n t e n t i o n a l o r u n i n t e n t i o n a l e x c e e d i n g o f t h e p r o g r a m m e d
s p e e d r e s u l t s i n fl a s h i n g o f t h i s s p e e d o n t h e d i s p l a y .
Return to the programmed speed, by means of intentional or
unintentional deceleration of the vehicle, automatically ca n-
c e l s t h e fl a s h i n g o f t h e s p e e d .
Return to normal driving
Turn dial 1 to the "0" position: the cruise control mode is
deselected. The display returns to the distance rec order. Operating fault
In the event of a cruise control malfunc-
tion, the speed is cleared resulting in
fl a s h i n g o f t h e d a s h e s .
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer.
Set the programmed speed by ac-
celerating to the required speed,
then press button 2 or 3 (e.g.:
7 0 m p h ( 1 1 0 k m / h ) ) .
Switch off the cruise control by pressing button 4 : the
d i s p l a y c o n fi r m s t h a t i t h a s b e e n s w i t c h e d o f f ( O F F ) .
Switch the cruise control back on by pressing button 4
again.
You can then change the programmed speed using but
tons 2
and 3 :
- b y + o r - 1 m p h ( k m / h ) = s h o r t p r e s s ,
- b y + o r - 5 m p h ( k m / h ) = l o n g p r e s s ,
- i n s t e p s o f + o r - 5 m p h ( k m / h ) = m a i n t a i n e d p r e s s .

PARKING SENSORS
T h i s s y s t e m i n d i c a t e s t h e p r o x i m i t y o f a n
o b s t a c l e ( p e r s o n , v e h i c l e , t r e e , g a t e , e t c . )
w h i c h c o m e s w i t h i n t h e fi e l d o f d e t e c t i o n
of sensors located in the bumper.
Certain types of obstacle (stake, road-
w o r k s c o n e , e t c . ) d e t e c t e d i n i t i a l l y w i l l
no longer be detected at the end of the
manoeuvre due to the presence of blind
spots. This function cannot, in any cir-
cumstances, take the place of the
vigilance and responsibility of the
driver. Rear parking sensors
Audible assistance
T h e p r o x i m i t y i n f o r m a t i o n i s g i v e n b y a
discontinuous audible signal, the fre-
quency of which increases as the ve-
hicle approaches the obstacle.
The sound emitted by the speaker (right
o r l e f t ) i n d i c a t e s t h e s i d e o n w h i c h t h e
obstacle is located.
When the distance between the vehicle
and the obstacle becomes less than ap-
p r o x i m a t e l y t h i r t y c e n t i m e t r e s , t h e a u d i -
ble signal becomes continuous.
The system is switched on by engaging
reverse gear. This is accompanied by
an audible signal.
The system is switched off when you
e x i t r e v e r s e g e a r .
This supplements the audible signal by
displaying segments in the multifunc-
tion screen which move progressively
nearer to the vehicle. When the obsta-
cle is near, the "Danger" symbol is also
displayed in the screen.

Front parking sensors
In addition to the rear parking sensors,
the front parking sensors are triggered
when an obstacle is detected in front
and the speed of the vehicle is still below
6 m p h ( 1 0 k m / h ) .
The sound emitted by the speaker (front
o r r e a r ) i n d i c a t e s w h e t h e r t h e o b s t a c l e i s
in front or behind.
The front parking sensors are interrupted
if the vehicle stops for more than three
seconds in forward gear, if no further ob-
stacles are detected or when the speed
o f t h e v e h i c l e e x c e e d s 6 m p h ( 1 0 k m / h ) .
Deactivation/Activation of the front
and rear parking sensors
The function is deactivated by pressing
this button. The indicator lamp on the
button comes on.
Pressing this button again reactivates
the function. The indicator lamp on the
button switches off. Deactivation/Activation of the rear
parking sensors
The function will be deactivated au-
tomatically if a trailer is being towed
o r a b i c y c l e c a r r i e r i s fi t t e d ( v e h i c l e
fi t t e d w i t h a t o w b a r o r b i c y c l e c a r -
r i e r r e c o m m e n d e d b y P E U G E O T ) . Operating fault
If an operating fault occurs,
when reverse gear is engaged
this warning lamp is displayed
o n t h e i n s t r u m e n t p a n e l a n d / o r
a message appears on the screen, ac-
companied by an audible signal (short
b l e e p ) .
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
In bad weather or in winter, ensure
that the sensors are not covered
with mud, ice or snow. When re-
verse gear is engaged, an audible
s i g n a l ( l o n g b l e e p ) i n d i c a t e s t h a t
the sensors may be dirty.
When the vehicle is moving at
a s p e e d b e l o w 6 m p h ( 1 0 k m / h ) ,
certain sound sources (motorcy-
c l e , l o r r y , p n e u m a t i c d r i l l , e t c . ) m a y
trigger the audible signals of the
parking sensor system.
The function is deactivated
or activated via the vehicle
c o n fi g u r a t i o n m e n u .
The status of the function
is stored when the ignition
is switched off.

filter)
A low additive level is indicated by light-
ing of the service warning lamp, accom-
panied by an audible warning and a
message on the multifunction screen.

these components in accordance with
the Warranty and Maintenance Record
and according to your engine.
Otherwise, have them checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Battery
The battery does not require
any maintenance.
H o w e v e r , c h e c k t h a t t h e t e r -
minals are clean and correctly
tightened, particularly in sum-
mer and winter.
When carrying out work on the battery,
refer to the "Practical information" sec-
tion for details of the precautions to be
taken before disconnecting the battery
and following its reconnection.
Air filter and passenger compartment filter
Refer to the Warranty and
Maintenance Record for details
of the replacement intervals for
these components.
Depending on the environment (e.g.
dusty atmosphere) and the use of the
vehicle (e.g. city driving), replace them
twice as often if necessary (refer to
the "Engines" paragraph).
A c l o g g e d c a b i n fi l t e r m a y h a v e a n a d -
verse effect on the performance of the
air conditioning system and generate
undesirable odours. Particle emission filter (Diesel)
Display of this warning lamp,
together with the service warn-
ing lamp, indicates the start of

low level in the Diesel additive
reservoir.
