When the range falls below 20 miles
( 3 0 k m ) , d a s h e s a r e d i s p l a y e d . A f t e r fi l l -
ing with at least 5 litres of fuel, the range
is recalculated and is displayed when it
exceeds 60 miles (100 km). If dashes are displayed
continuously while driving in
place of the digits, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer. This function is only displayed
from 20 mph (30 km/h).

MIRRORS

glass permitting the lateral rearward vi-
sion necessary for overtaking or parking.
They can also be folded for parking in
c o n fi n e d s p a c e s . F o l d i n g
- Automatic: lock the vehicle using
the remote control or the key.
- Manual: with the ignition on, pull control A rearwards.
The folding and unfolding of
the door mirrors using the re-
mote control can be deactivat-
ed by a PEUGEOT dealer.
Fold the mirrors when putting your
vehicle through an automatic car
wash.

Electronic engine immobiliser

ignition is switched on, this code must

p o s s i b l e .

the engine management system a few
minutes after the ignition is switched off
a n d p r e v e n t s s t a r t i n g o f t h e e n g i n e b y
anyone who does not have the key.
Anti-theft protection
In the event of a malfunction,

signal and a message on the
multifunction screen.
In this case, your vehicle does not start;

Starting the vehicle
Insert the key in the ignition switch.
The system recognises the starting code.
Turn the key fully towards the dash-
b o a r d t o p o s i t i o n 3 (Starting) .
When the engine starts, release the
key.
Switching the vehicle off

Turn the key fully towards you to po-
sition 1 (Stop) .
Remove the key from the ignition
switch. Energy economy mode
After switching off the engine (posi-
tion
1-Stop ), you can still use functions
such as the audio and telematics sys-
tem, the wipers, the dipped headlamps,
the courtesy lamps, etc. for a maximum
c o m b i n e d p e r i o d o f t h i r t y m i n u t e s .

Remote control problem
Following disconnection of the vehicle
b a t t e r y , r e p l a c e m e n t o f t h e r e m o t e c o n -
t r o l b a t t e r y o r i n t h e e v e n t o f a r e m o t e
control malfunction, you can no longer
unlock, lock or locate your vehicle.
First of all, use the key in the lock to
unlock or lock your vehicle.
Then, reinitialise the remote control.
I f t h e p r o b l e m p e r s i s t s , c o n t a c t a
P E U G E O T d e a l e r a s s o o n a s p o s s i b l e . Changing the battery

Reinitialisation
Switch off the ignition.
Turn the key to position 2 (Ignition) .
Press the closed padlock immedi-
ately for a few seconds.
Switch off the ignition and remove
the key from the ignition switch.
The remote control is fully operational
again. I f t h e b a t t e r y i s fl a t , y o u a r e i n -
f o r m e d b y l i g h t i n g o f t h i s w a r n -
i n g l a m p , a n a u d i b l e s i g n a l a n d

Unclip the casing using a coin at the
notch.

Remote control
The high frequency remote control is a sensitive system; do not o perate it while

y o u b e i n g a w a r e o f i t .
D o n o t r e p e a t e d l y p r e s s t h e b u t t o n s o f y o u r r e m o t e c o n t r o l o u t o f r a n g e a n d
out of sight of your vehicle. You run the risk of stopping it from working and the
r e m o t e c o n t r o l w o u l d h a v e t o b e r e i n i t i a l i s e d .
The remote control does not operate when the key is in the ignition, even when
the ignition is switched off, except for reinitialisation.
Locking the vehicle
Driving with the doors locked may make access to the passenger compartment
b y t h e e m e r g e n c y s e r v i c e s m o r e d i f fi c u l t i n a n e m e r g e n c y .
A s a s a f e t y p r e c a u t i o n ( w i t h c h i l d r e n o n b o a r d ) , r e m o v e t h e k e y f r o m t h e i g n i t i o n
when you leave the vehicle, even for a short time.

ALARM
System which protects and provides a
deterrent against the theft of your vehi-
cle. It provides two types of protection,
exterior and interior, as well as an anti-
tamper function.
Locking the vehicle with full alarm

Activation
Switch off the ignition and get out of
the vehicle.
Lock or deadlock the vehicle using

control.
The alarm is activated; the indicator lamp
o n b u t t o n A fl a s h e s o n c e p e r s e c o n d .
Exterior perimiter protection
The system detects opening of the
vehicle.
The alarm is triggered if anyone tries to
e n t e r t h e v e h i c l e b y f o r c i n g a d o o r , t h e
b o o t o r t h e b o n n e t .
Interior volumetric protection
The system detects any variation in the
volume in the passenger compartment.
T h e a l a r m i s t r i g g e r e d i f a n y o n e b r e a k s
a window or moves inside the vehicle.
If you wish to leave a pet in the vehicle
or a window partially open, deactivate
the interior volumetric protection.
Anti-tamper function
The system detects the putting out of
service of its components.
The alarm is triggered if anyone tries
to put the wires of the siren, the central
c o n t r o l o r t h e b a t t e r y o u t o f s e r v i c e . Deactivation
Unlock the vehicle using the unlock-

The alarm is deactivated; the indicator
