5. Air conditioning On/Off The air conditioning is de-
signed to operate effectively in
all seasons, with the windows
closed. The control button is located on
the heating or air conditioning
system control panel. REAR SCREEN DEMIST/
DEFROST
Switch off the demist/defrost of
the rear screen and door mir-
rors as soon as it is no longer
needed as lower current con-
sumption results in reduced
fuel consumption.
If the engine is switched off before the
demist/defrost is switched off auto-
matically, demist/defrost will resume
next time the engine is switched on.
The demist/defrost is deactivated
when the retractable roof is stored in
the boot.
S w i t c h i n g o n
The rear screen demist/defrost can only
operate when the engine is running.
Press this button to demist/defrost
the rear screen and the exterior mir-
rors. The indicator lamp associated
with the button comes on.
S w i t c h i n g o f f
The demist/defrost switches off auto-
matically to prevent an excessive con-
sumption of current.
It is possible to stop the demist/de-
frost operation before it is switched off
automatically by pressing the button
again. The indicator lamp associated
with the button switches off.
It enables you to:
- lower the temperature, in summer,
- increase the effectiveness of the
demisting, in winter above 0 °C.

Press the "A/C" button, the associ-
ated indicator lamp comes on.

Load space cover net
When it has been removed and folded,
the windstop should be stored in its pro-
tective case.
This case can be stored by means of a
strap on the right-hand side of the boot.
Windstop storage case
When the load space cover net is
in place, the following conditions
must be observed:
- the luggage must not raise the cover net,
- luggage must not be placed on top of the cover net.
The load space cover net must
always be in place before a roof
opening operation is started (refer
t o t h e " F a m i l i a r i s a t i o n - § O p e n i n g "
section). For installation of the windstop, re-
f e r t o t h e f o l l o w i n g p a g e s " F i t t i n g /
r e m o v i n g t h e w i n d s t o p " .

Pull the windstop forwards to release
the guides from the points located be-
hind the rear seat belts.
Fold the windstop frame guides.
Fold the windstop closing the two
large parts on themselves.
Unclip each end individually.
Fold each of the two parts on them-
selves. Storing
Store the windstop folded in its pro-
tective case.
Use the strap intended to secure the
case on the right-hand side of the boot
( r e f e r t o t h e " B o o t fi t t i n g s " s e c t i o n ) .

Deadlocking renders the exterior and
interior door controls inoperative.
It also deactivates the manual cen-
tralised control button.
Therefore, do not leave anyone
inside the vehicle when it is dead-
locked.
If one of the doors or the boot is still
open, the central locking does not
take place.
REMOTE CONTROL KEY
System which permits central unlocking
or locking of the vehicle using the lock
or remotely. It also locates and starts
the vehicle, as well as providing protec-
tion against theft.
Unfolding the key
First press button A to unfold the
key.

According to version, the door mirrors

Press the closed padlock to lock the
vehicle.
Press the closed padlock again

Unlocking using the key
Turn the key to the left in the driver's
door lock to unlock the vehicle.
Press the closed padlock

er's door lock to lock the vehicle.

The vehicle will relock automati-
cally after thirty seconds unless
a door is opened. This system
prevents unintentional unlocking.
The folding and unfolding of the
door mirrors can be deactivated by
a PEUGEOT dealer.
Folding the key
First press button A to fold the key. Locating your vehicle
Press the closed padlock to locate
your locked vehicle in a car park.
This is indicated by lighting of the cour-

indicators for a few seconds. Electronic engine immobiliser
The key contains an electronic chip
which has a special code. When the
ignition is switched on, this code must
be recognised in order for starting to be
possible.
This electronic engine immobiliser locks
the engine management system a few
minutes after the ignition is switched off
and prevents starting of the engine by
anyone who does not have the key.
Anti-theft protection
In the event of a malfunction,
you are informed by lighting of
this warning lamp, an audible
signal and a message on the
multifunction screen.
In this case, your vehicle does not start;
contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon as
possible.
Press the boot unlocking but-
ton on the remote control for
more than 2 seconds. The
boot opens slightly.

ALARM
System which protects and dissuades
against the theft of your vehicle. It pro-
vides two types of protection, exterior
and interior, as well as an anti-tamper
function. Locking the vehicle with full
alarm
D o n o t m a k e a n y m o d i fi c a t i o n s t o
the alarm system, this could cause
malfunctions. In order to be taken into account,
this deactivation must be car-
ried out each time the ignition is
switched off.
I n t h e " c a b r i o l e t " c o n fi g u r a t i o n , t h e
interior protection is deactivated
automatically.
Locking the vehicle with
perimiter protection only
Activation
Switch off the ignition and get out of
the vehicle.
Lock or deadlock the vehicle using
the locking button on the remote
control.
The alarm is activate; the indicator lamp
on button A fl a s h e s o n c e p e r s e c o n d .
The perimiter protection is activated
5 seconds after pressing the locking
button on the remote control.
The volumetric protection is activated
45 seconds after pressing the locking
button on the remote control.
If a door or the boot is open or not proper-
ly closed, the vehicle is not locked, but
the perimiter protection will be activated
after 45 seconds at the same time as
the volumetric protection.
Exterior perimeter protection
The system detects opening of the
vehicle.
The alarm is triggered if anyone tries to
enter the vehicle by forcing a door, the
boot or the bonnet.
Interior volumetric protection
The system detects any variation in the
volume in the passenger compartment.
The alarm is triggered if anyone breaks
a window or moves inside the vehicle.
If you wish to leave a pet in the vehicle
or a window partially open, deactivate
the interior protection.
Anti-tamper function
The system detects the putting out of
service of its components.
The alarm is triggered if anyone tries
to put the wires of the siren, the central
control or the battery out of service. Deactivation
Unlock the vehicle using the unlock-
ing button on the remote control.
The alarm is deactivated; the indicator
lamp on button A switches off.
Deactivation of the interior
volumetric protection
Switch off the ignition.
Within ten seconds, press button A
until the indicator lamp is lit continu-
ously.
Get out of the vehicle.
Quickly lock or deadlock the vehicle
using the locking button on the re-
mote control.
The exterior perimeter protection alone
remains activated; the indicator lamp on
button A fl a s h e s o n c e p e r s e c o n d .
